Beautiful and breathtaking gothic looking church and equally if not more impressive inside. The detail and architecture of this church is simply stunning, we went on a Saturday afternoon and it was peaceful and quite calm. So much history shared on boards around the church and the garden is just perfect and tranquil. A beautiful afternoon spent in a beautiful church with wonderful company.

A gem of a building in Bristol's category of amazing buildings and located in the heart of the city with a fascinating interior, exterior and history. Despite the church being closed at the moment, I found plenty to look at in the churchyard such as snowdrops, crocus and early blooming daffodils.

Really well designed church. Gothic style with a mix of other unique and distinctive styles from the artists involved in the building on this church. It looks like a really old church but it is well mainted as it not dirty and their grounds are well taken care of. The gardens where this church is located are very quiet and peaceful almost to the level that you are able to medite in them. I didn't explore inside of the church but it looks fone on photos and spacious.

St. Mary Redcliffe Church in Bristol, located near Bristol Temple Meads Railway Station, has a rich history spanning over 800 years. It's a remarkable example of exquisite craftsmanship and architectural brilliance. We strolled from Bristol Temple Meads Railway Station to explore this historic church, and inside, it exudes a strong sense of tradition, peace, and spirituality. There is no entrance fee and we are allowed to take photos.

Quite possibly the most stunning non-cathedral I've visited. It's quite narrow and very tall, so it pulls off being inimate and magnificent at the same time...which is a rare feat. The modern stained glass in the Lady Chapel is beautiful and the gold-leafed vaulting is a wonderful touch. The guides were knowledgable and friendly and deserve a special mention.

Undoubtedly one of the finest building on planet earth. There is art every where you look. Not very crowded on Sunday noon, beautiful backdrop of fall season don't miss that

This richly decorated parish church is a masterpiece of masonry and noble example of perpendicular architecture. The present building was begun at the end of the thirteenth century, though it was added to subsequent centuries, much of it by William Canynges, a wealthy medieval shipping magnate and five times Mayor of Bristol, who swapped commerce for the cloth and is buried in a canopied altar tomb in the south transept. The soaring spire provides one of the distinctive features of the city's skyline dates from 1872. Crandiose and beautiful!

Free day out and very friendly staff. Beautiful place with lots of old Bristol history. They have a little water exhibit on unpredictability. They removed the stain-glass windows dedicated Edward Colston and had a plaque about his contributions to slavery.

I'm not a religious person but I love this church, and the events it puts on. I've listened to Avant garde organ recitals here, visited the bell tower, witnessed a screening of Fritz Lang's Metropolis with live improvised organ accompaniment, and as a maze/labyrinth nerd I like that the one on one of the ceiling roses has been made into a water feature in nearby Victoria Park. This place knows how to reach out and make the building meaningful to a secular society and to my mind that is really important.

This church is so beautiful, with unique architecture and so much to learn about Bristol history. Quite disappointing to see tiles devoted to Colstone removed and unbelievable far left propaganda about him on posters. But if you just ignore that, you will have a very inspiring and invigorating experience here.

Beautiful church with very friendly ladies welcoming you & giving you helpful information. Well kept & clean & lovely to walk around in a calm atmosphere. You can see that a great effort is taken to keep the church in good shape. There is also a good shop there run by very helpful ladies. 👍🙏🌷😊💥

Church was warm and cosy. There was a little bar below. I got myself glass of wine. Candlelight, music, wine - ecstasy.

Took a tour as part of a English Hritage members nly event that also included Temple Church. I'm Bristolian born and bred but had no idea about most of the information we were given. Have attended a funeral in the church before, but having someone knowledgable showing you around makes such a difference. There are unsolvable access issues here, so be aware if you struggle with stairs.

ABBA string quartet tribute, beautiful venue and fantastic musicians. A perfect evening out! Can't wait to try more of these candlelight events 🌟

I have been to many candlelight events from classical to pop in magnifent venues across the City, some better then others (ie: single pianist not as good as string quartets or pianist either flautist) but st Mary's doing 4 seasons was superb!

Incredible gothic architecture. Only a quick visit but the ladies at the entrance were so helpful and willing to chat! A must see. Toilets insanely clean.

It's a stunning church very old, if i remeber correctly it is , roughly 900+years. Lots of detail put into the architecture. It is free to enter, but you can do donations at the door and have a small gift shop to remember your visit.

The fairest parish in all England - according to Queen Elizabeth 1. The inside is well worth visiting with a painting by Hogarth, fascinating roof bosses and the tombs of eminent Bristolians, including William Penn, father of the founder of Pennsylvania. The services are open to all with carol services that are particularly popular. A sacred space - it is the second largest parish church in England.

Beautiful building, worth a visit! Especially when the light festival is on.

This church's architecture is nothing short of mind blowing and definitely worth a visit. I got the luxury of going inside the church during the Bristol Light Festival. The inside was lit in a beautiful ambience dedicated to only the greatest of landmarks. One of the most impressive churches to visit in all of the United Kingdom.

I was visiting with my very elderly mother. Naturally the building is ancient + not disability friendly. There is nowhere nearby to park even with a disability badge. There is a lot of walking involved to enter the building. Once inside we had splendid help from volunteers there. The church itself has beautiful acoustics for a memorable evensong

Beautiful. I'm not religious but this Church is awe inspiring. Beautifully quiet and serene. Spent an hour and a half just sitting alone with my thoughts. When you visit, allow plenty of time. For those of you who may be interested, the Church organ is a wonderful piece of machinery.

We did a guided tour of St Mary Redcliffe Church, which was informative and very interesting. We even got to go up to the Chatterton Room that was used by the young poet Thomas Chatterton. This was accessed by going up (and back down) a steep spiral staircase, so not suitable for all but well worth a visit. We also learnt about other notable figures that have memorials in the church. The guides were knowledgeable and provided us with good facts without being boring!

An astonishingly beautiful parish church, really a cathedral status ecclesiastical building. I was fortunate to be here for my son’s graduation from the Old Vic Theatre School, and I really cannot think of a nobler environment to culminate those young graduates time in Bristol

Very interesting church with just the right amount of information. Good for both art and history. Loved the part tramline still stuck vertically in the grounds from the last war.
