Really interesting visit. The centrepiece is the magnificent Concorde which has a hangar and displays to itself. The other exhibits tell the story of the Bristol aircraft from the Boxkite through to the Airbus 380. A few more complete aircraft would make this even better, but they are constantly working on this in their restoration hangar.

A very good experience for somebody who's an aviation enthusiast. A place depicting history of aviation. A good collection of goodies to take back home. Interactive experiences are also really nice. Displays of true scale sizes are nice too. Concorde steals the show. Absolute masterpiece

Such a great find, we were visiting family in the area and this came up on a Google search. The ticket price meant we could go back again for a year without paying but sadly we are not local. This was so interactive for the kids, lots of different things to do that I've not seen anywhere before. The play park is great, what a fabulous design! All the staff were brilliant, the cafe was lovely. Highly recommended on so many levels.

Really welcoming friendly knowledgeable staff, lots of hands on for the children. Great displays and detailed information, love the fact we can use our ticket over & over again for the next year. Lots of free parking. Really good cafe with choice of hot and cold food, and excellent service. The gift shop has a wide choice of gifts but is very expensive it needs more pocket money priced souvenirs for children. We will definitely be back

For £18 entry which entitles you to multiple entries up to 12 months this is fantastic value for money. The main attraction is to see Concorde, but also explains the importance of aviation in the area, and the importance of it in the first World War. I was only there 90 minutes, really could have done with another hour to properly see everything and the other hanger. Your entrance ticket is like a flight ticket which was a nice added touch.

The museum was very interesting, the staff were wonderful. There is much more to see here than I thought, well worth the visit. Big free car park. It's great to have a cafe, but it could do with a rethink. Nice soup, but it would have been better if it was served with proper bread rather than cheap sliced bread.

I'm no plane geek but I really enjoyed visiting. The information on display was really interesting and all exhibits set out chronologically. Interactive bits for kids to keep busy on too. The restoration hanger had enthusiasts working hard to restore a plane and the guides were so knowledgeable. We spent a good while in there listening to their stories, David in particular had such fascinating tales to tell. I could have spent hours with him. Top exhibit obviously is Concorde. Beautifully displayed and pristine. Actually felt quite emotional seeing it, such an iconic aircraft. Absolutely recommend anyone to visit this fabulous attraction.

Very interesting museum and lots to keep the children entertained. Some great exhibits. Concorde is fantastic, but the others are also very good covering all the history of aviation (focusing on the local contribution of course, which is a very large contribution!) Staff and volunteers were fantastic and very knowledgeable, some having even worked on Concorde!

I was pleasantly surprised how good this place is! You realise the rich Aerospace history of Bristol. More than 110 years of developments, well presented and enough activities to keep the kids interested. I went with my eight year old nephew and he didn't complain once that he was bored during the two and a half hours' visit. Plus, the ticket is valid for a whole year, so you can return. All in all, if you are interested in aircraft history, this place is well worth a visit!

We eventually got to visit after booking tickets nearly a year ago. The place could do with more signs to find it as the area is very new and doesn't show up on my sat nav! Once we'd parked we went into the museum and spent a very interesting couple of hours looking at the history of Bristol aviation in all its forms. Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. A special note about the cafe - very good value and fantastically friendly service. It was great to see and go on Concorde, one of the many iconic aircraft to come out of the Bristol factory. Including food we spent over 3 hours in total and it is certainly somewhere we will revisit, especially as the ticket covers entry for a year!

Booked this last minute but was a great fill in on a rainy day with kids. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The highlight was of course the Concord (No20) and we all learnt a fair bit on the tour. Defo worth the visit 👍🏼

Absolutely amazing! Book in advance £18 adult or £19.50 on the door. You can then return anytime free for a whole year! 3 Hangars in total, amazing food from the cafe. Hangar 2 just Concorde and you can actually get onboard it, fabulous 3 to 4 hours to cover everything. Tues/Weds/Thurs watch live restoration going on in Hangar 3.

What an amazing museum for enthusiasts of all ages. The main hangar is set up really well with visual, auditory and written displays. The little cutouts with information distilled for children demonstrates the thought that has gone into the setup. The Concorde hangar is an absolute delight and being able to walk through airframe 20 is the icing on the cake. Hangar 3 with the live restoration of historical assets is equally amazing. The staff on-site are engaging, committed and have interesting stories to tell. Do engage with them to get a richer experience. The cafe, ablution facilities and outside seating is all clean, tidy and well thought out. The family ticket is good value in my personal opinion and especially as it provides access for 12 months. I will certainly be returning again. My 10 year old son was fully engaged and had a great time on his summer holiday visiting this wonderful place.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Bristol Aerospace Museum, and I must say, it was an incredible experience that took me on a captivating journey through the fascinating world of aviation history. Located in a charming setting, the museum offers a blend of educational exhibits and awe-inspiring artifacts that will undoubtedly appeal to aviation enthusiasts and curious minds alike. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a remarkable collection of aircraft spanning various eras, each one meticulously preserved and accompanied by insightful narratives. The museum's dedication to preserving the heritage of aviation is evident in the attention to detail displayed in the arrangement of exhibits. One of the highlights of my visit was the interactive displays that allowed me to experience the feeling of being inside a cockpit and trying my hand at flight simulation. It was both educational and entertaining, providing a deeper understanding of the challenges and marvels of aviation. The museum's staff was knowledgeable and eager to share information, which added to the overall enriching experience. Another highlight was, of course, the most tested plane in history and the last Concorde that flew. Seeing the plane up close and being able to go inside and see what it was like to fly in one back then- amazing. I also come to appreciate the amount of work the engineers and scientists put into their craft and producing these brilliant inventions during such a critical time in history. Inventions that laid the groundwork for all the modern technology we have now. The Bristol Aerospace Museum also delved into the human stories behind aviation, showcasing the courage of pilots, the innovation of engineers, and the determination of explorers. I was particularly moved by the tribute to the pioneers who paved the way for modern aviation. The museum's layout is well-organized, making it easy to navigate and fully immerse oneself in the exhibits. The attention to historical accuracy and the dedication to preserving aviation heritage are evident throughout the museum's halls. In conclusion, the Bristol Aerospace Museum offers an exceptional journey through aviation history that captivates visitors of all ages. Whether you're an aviation enthusiast, a history buff, or simply looking for an engaging and educational experience, this museum is a must-visit. I left with a renewed appreciation for the progress of flight and the remarkable individuals who have shaped its course.

It's a great museum, which could be described as 2 separate attractions. The first is a well laid out history museum, with great and large exhibits. The second is the Concorde hanger, this is very impressive.

Fantastic museum including a history of aerospace contributions from the Bristol area, including interactive exhibits, good descriptions and interesting variety. The highlights of the museum include the opportunity to learn about and get onboard the Concorde. I would also recommend the free guided tour of the restoration workshop. Tickets allow return visits for 12 months so opportunity for many repeat trips.

I've got a bucket list to visit every remaining Concorde in situ and I have to say this is the best venue I've visited so far. The Concorde hangar has had no expense spared and the projected images on the front of G-BOAF are a lovely touch. The aircraft is obviously loved and it's worth the money alone to visit. The covid safe route and plentiful hand sanitiser was very reassuring. The toilets were exceptionally clean and well maintained. The cafe has a good selection of food and drink and the menu for hot meals was quite reasonable for a museum. The main museum is very heavy on Bristol based aircraft history, which is something that I've not been very knowledgeable about prior to the visit (Brabazon excluded). I'm pleased that the museum has successfully educated me on a rich part of British aviation history. The new addition to visitors is the hangar where volunteers can be seen working on aircraft that are being restored. Chat to them as they know and love their subjects. Every volunteer and staff member at the museum are exceptional in their role. The gift shop staff were also very friendly and knowledgeable. I would have liked a few more aviation diecast models as the few they had were bespoke and quite pricey. The only other qualm I had was the lack of smoking/vaping allowance within the museum fenced area. There is a very large open space between the hangars that would be suitable for a smoking area. A small but great museum that's worth a visit.

A lovely experience for all ages

Two hangers, one a fantastic Concorde Exhibiton and the chance to go on the last Concorde to ever fly which is brilliant. The second a walk through aviation history with really good displays. Also has a cafe and outdoor kids play area on site. Really well put together, great place to spend a few hours, family friendly.

This is where the last flown Concorde aircraft is stationed for display. Other exhibits include the developments done in Bristol with respect to aeronautics. But not to miss the Bristol brand car and lorry. Ticket price is 19.50 per adult and can be purchased over the counter and online both. Museum is not crowded. This museum has 3 hangers. First hanger has Bristol brand Lorry and Car, some early stage aircraft’s and later commercial and fighter planes, helicopters, missiles etc. second hanger has the iconic Concorde. Before gettin on to the plane, a volunteer explains the history and facts related to it. Short documentaries are also shown projecting onto Concorde’s body. One group at a time is allowed inside the plane due to its narrow passage. There is an exhibition room where some stories and artifacts related to Concorde are on display. Third hanger consists of the aircrafts under restoration. There is a guided tour hourly to see how aircrafts are restored. It does not take an hour for the tour and last one is at 3.00 pm. If traveling via public transport from Bristol, ticket is 2 pounds per journey. Day pass is 6 pounds. Better to buy tickets using the app or ticket machines located at main bus stops in Bristol because some buses don’t sell tickets.

What a fantastic place ! The home for now of one of aviation's most incredible feats of engineering.. Concorde. The museum itself is full of fascinating artifacts from a bygone era topped off with the facts and figures that shows how the Bristol area helped forge Britain as a leading innovator in aircraft technology. Do yourself a favour and go see this amazing piece of history before they move the Concorde again.

Excellent museum. Many interesting exhibits which will interest everyone and chance to get hands on experience with the numerous interactive displays . Lovely cafe and facilities. Adults and children of all ages will not only learn but enjoy the day. Of course the highlight is Concorde which is presented in pristine condition. You can view the flight deck and move down through the cabin and savour the luxury . Staff are friendly and helpful and clearly enjoy their work. We had a great time and you are able to have free admission for twelve months.

Great visit, very impressive museum with amazing history of Bristol Aerospace. Three hangers charting the history of early flight right to up to Concorde. Some lovely displays of both early and modern aircraft. I was lucky enough as child to see the very first Concorde flight from here in 1969. So it was great to actually step onboard and have a look at this amazing aircraft. Very nice and knowledgeable staff also a good cafe serving a good menu. Would definitely recommend. Also your ticket is valid for a year so you can revisit!

There's so much to study in the range of history & science they cover (engineering & social history) that we've visited 4 afternoons on the annual ticket. Good coffee & cakes in large cafe, and enjoyable basic lunches too. Exciting to climb inside the original Concord and lots of hands-on science & engineering projects for kids (but sadly many not working). I loved the social history - women entering the workforce, trades unions, cold war mentality, etc, while my husband loved all the planes and their engines. We both liked the beautiful Bristol car and local tram as well - there's a whole lot there!

Great place to while away a couple of hours. It’s nicely done, intimate and a little amateur but staffed by people who truly care and share interest. Only negative is the price -entry for 1 year is great if you are a enthusiast or with keen children. One visit is plenty and for that entry price should be 50%.

Nice museum, covering the history of plane production over the past 120 years. At the center of attraction is the last flying Concorde, which divine a separate hangar. Rather steep ticket prices at £19.50….with only very few planes to see.

Had a fabulous visit. The red arrows simulator was great, the main museum was much more interesting than expected but, of course, Concord was the real star. It really took my breath away. Well worth saving time to visit the workshop to see people restoring some old aircraft. Really glad I went.

We visited the museum during the Feb half term. It was lucky to have the BMFA team in and showed model aircraft flying. The display is very interesting and unique, especially the Concorde. The ticket is designed like a boarding pass. The canteen is also very good, price is very reasonable. The only thing is the queue to order food tends to be very slow moving.

Brilliant visit. I highly recommend it. Getting up close and personal with the technological marvel that is the Concorde, was undoubtedly the highlight of the visit, but that takes nothing away from the rest of this museum. Brilliant. Top job to all involved.

Great place to visit even if you're not into aircraft and the iconic Concorde. Took our two grandchildren what had been before but still loved their visit. So much to see and an interesting place to visit to learn not just about the aircraft but also about the social history of Filton and surrounding areas. Well worth a visit.

  • 5/5 Graham B. 2 years ago on Google
The full history of Filton Airfield using aircraft, cars, boats, missiles and satellites as well as interactive exhibits, photos, maps and other artifacts. And the star of the show is the last Concorde to fly in it's own hall with it's own exhibition. If you are lucky you may even see them drop it's nose. A fascinating day out for everyone. Very educational. In one of the hangars where it all happened. And the restaurant is very relaxed too.

Great museum, perfect for an aviation nerd. The staff were helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and had lots of great stories. Wonderful museum! Well worth a visit it you are interested in aviation, Bristol or both. There is a lot of local information for the surrounding Filton area too. Planes, helicopters, ground to air missiles, cars and even satellite exhibits on show to name a few. There are a good number of interactive exhibits too. Polite, friendly staff always on hand to help. Ample parking, stairs and lifts for elevated areas, clean and very tidy facilities with a really great cafe serving hot and cold food and drinks. The best thing is you have a whole year to return as many times as you like, just hang on to your boarding pass (ticket) and away you go! Excellent value for money!!!

I visited Aerospace Bristol for the anniversary of Concorde's last flight with my children. What an amazing day and experience. A huge thank you from Susanna and kids ❤️

What a great place to go! It's huge and full of great historical items, stories and facts. So well maintained and reception staff very helpful. Children will love it, there's also a task book for children to complete and find tasks as they go around. The concord exhibit is just wow. So much history around it and the fact you can walk through the plane is great. I'd highly recommend the online cafe. Lovely hot food with plenty of choices, kids menu and snacks plus cream teas. It was raining when we visited but I think there was a small outdoor play area for little ones. Plenty of car parking to and there's also a retail park nearby

For anyone with a love of aviation, there can be few better ways to spend a few hours than perusing the exhibits charting the history of aviation from a local perspective. The jewel of the collection is the last concord to fly. Finally, the tickets you buy grant you unlimited return visits for a year.

So glad I took the time to visit. I was like a big child as soon as I walked into the Concorde hanger, it's without a doubt the coolest thing I've ever seen. The only time I saw Concorde in the flesh was at an airshow at Aldergrove in the early 80s, but to be able to touch it and get inside it, fantastic. And there's so many other cool things to see in the main hanger, and it's laid out very well and great information is made available. The personal tour round the active restoration hanger was a real treat too, Andrew was so informative, and it's nice to listen to a guide who's so proud and passionate about his home city. He picked up on our NI accents (not hard to do) and was able to give us info that linked to our input into many of aviation projects. He was also very knowledgeable and well able to answer our questions. Great value for money, I hope the powers that be invest more in this attraction so they can display even more.

  • 5/5 Christopher S. 1 year ago on Google
Aerospace Bristol exceeded my expectations. Staff and volunteers were approachable, friendly and helpful. The three parts of the museum are all equally interesting in different ways. Concorde is definitely a 'wow' experience - from the first time you see it to learning all about the engineering magic that went into creating it. The Restoration hanger is made even more interesting by the volunteers restoring the planes there. The main part of the museum is well laid out and clearly relates the role of Bristol in the advancement of aviation. And, the food in the cafe was good, with friendly service. The two kids in our party found plenty to interest them so the day was a resounding success.

  • 5/5 Yosi R. 10 months ago on Google
The most interesting part is the part of the Concorde plane. Everything else is not impressive at all. The part of the Concorde plane is very impressive and worth a visit. There is a real Concorde plane there and you can even go inside it. A very impressive plane. Worth a visit.

Aeroplane museum in Filton bristol a great way to spend a few hours. They have a whole hanger dedicated to concorde and a few Aston Martins in the back. A great signposted one way system through the various exhibits and wheelchair accessible lifts throughout the building. There's is a cafe and gift shop on site.

  • 4/5 Emilio 10 months ago on Google
This museum does have quite a few airplanes and motors while also teaching you about the history of Bristol's aerospace industry. However, almost everything interactive was closed by 3PM and I felt like it was a little too geared towards children with oversimplified explanations and not much for adults to do beyond look around. Still a worthwhile visit IF you're nearby.

A wonderful day out, we saw planes from WW1 & 2, life size displays of boats, emergency helicopters, transport helicopters right through to old cars & trams. Then there was the life size Harrier Jump Jet, ground to air missile launchers, rockets & of course a hangar for the very last Concorde plane, which you can see from both inside & outside, including the cockpit. Nice cafe onsite too with coffee, breakfast & lunches, sweet treats. Fabulous experience.

I'm a bit of an aviation geek as I used to work for BA up until the pandemic. So this museum ticks a lot of boxes. Not only a great deal of the history of Filton areas association with aviation, of which much still happens to this day with Airbus and Rolls Royce still based in the area, but also the iconic BA Concorde. That alone is worth the visit. It's so well kept and presented when you consider the one at LHR is just out in the elements, this one is so well looked after in its own hangar and exhibition space. Also has the added bonus of a talk about owls that was excellent. I brought tickets in advance but I don't think it's totally necessary unless it's going to be a really busy day.

It is a really fantastic place to take kids: WWI and WW2 planes, engines, wings, details of construction, working conditions. Then interactive displays, videos, rockets, satellites... then the Concorde with excellent accessibility and technical and historical information. And a café, a shop and a playground too. Really great!

  • 4/5 Ruby F. 3 years ago on Google
The museum is tiny by international standards, which is a huge shame, because there is a rather significant history at Filton that isn't particularly well-explored or presented. However, the respect exhibited for G-BOAF is simply remarkable. This is the most considerate and sympathetic presentation of the Concorde I have seen yet (seen seven), and I suspect it may well be among the most well-cared-for specimens in the world.

  • 5/5 Wayne J. 3 years ago on Google
Went here in August 2020, easy to book online and good social distancing. Fascinating to know the history of Fulton and so many planes. Nice little cafe for coffee, plenty of toilets and of course going inside Concorde. The tickets can be reused for up to a year after you have bought them. Took me about 3 hours to poodle around.

Just a one time thing, should've been cheaper though. The whole walk took us less than 1hr. It's not really worth it if you're drivig all the way from London..

Excellent museum. The Concorde hanger is very special. All exhibits have excellent information panels. Old planes in beautiful condition, hands on experiences etc. Good shop, not overwhelming but well chosen gifts.

Great place to visit. When you buy your tickets you can return for free as many times as you like thoughout the year. It has a cafe and small souvenir shop plus free parking. We visited today 9th august. The staff are very helpful and friendly especially the gentleman stood out by the entrance, he made us feel very welcome and also the man stood by the concorde (i think his name is Alan) who was so lovely to everyone queuing. Every where is kept so clean , the cafe, outside seating area and toilets were spotless. I love visiting here and would highly recommend it .

We had a great day here ( well 4.5 hours ).... What a fabulous, well planned out, clean, informative display. Concorde was fantastic. The staff overall were exceptionally polite and helpful and the food in the cafe was very reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. I had the chicken burger in the black bun. Never had a black bun before, different and delicious..... Felt very welcomed and would happily go back. Well worth a visit. Ticket lasts for 12 months as well....

Some of the facts you hear about Concorde are unbelievable - 2hrs 52min fastest time to New York seems like something from the future not the past.

Fantastic museum with some unique exhibits , Concorde is superbly displayed but a great revisit of Bristol's historic aviation past. We visited during the covid issues and they are fully set up for hygiene and social distancing needs, a recommended day out for a rainy day. Quick and easy access to the motorway or Cribbs for shopping. Restaurants also had superb covid procedures, great organisation.

Wow what can I say, the Concord was absolutely amazing to see, all the seats were still in, it was the last Concord to fly, so worth a visit, lots of other stuff to look at as well

Lovely aerospace museum with plenty of planes and interactive exhibitions. We went on a Wed in September with our 2 year old. The staff were really friendly and helpful giving lots of history behind the exhibits. The Concorde looks great in its own hanger and there is a new hanger which allows you to see the planes being restored. A lovely cafe on site which was very reasonable. Also a small play park for little ones to burn off some steam. Well worth a visit!

If you’re visiting Bristol then this place has to be on your list! You probably need to have a basic appreciation of aviation, and Concorde in particular, but anyone who didn’t get to fly on this aircraft will enjoy the visit. You probably need around 3 hours to enjoy it, splitting your time between the Concorde hanger and the main museum that has lots of other engineering and aviation history, including many restored aircraft. Even if you don’t love planes I would totally recommend a visit. We arrived first thing on a Sunday and got straight into the Concorde hanger before anyone else, going straight into the aircraft to take a look. You can’t but be amazed! The service from the team was excellent, with those on station in the Concorde hanger showing such knowledge and passion. The cafe is lovely too, well worth a coffee and cake break. If you’re in 2 minds about a visit I would say it’s totally worth it!

Amazing experience, detailed information available but also suitable for kids with interactive displays and some unique items on show. Amazing to be able to get up close and personal with some iconic machines, especially the concorde which you can walk around in.

A great place to visit. Loved the gallery showing the history of the company and the engines. Concorde is stunning in her own gallery and we loved the way you've used the fuselage as a projection screen. Came with my dad, who worked for Rolls Royce and worked on the air intakes for the Olympus engines so it was a very nostalgic visit for him.

A well layed out exhibition set in two buildings. The Concorde exhibit was stunning and well worth a visit just to see that one plane. Lots of interactive bits for children and adults. Good day out

Best part is iconic Concord. Other interesting aircraft, engines, helicopters, missiles plus history of aircraft in Filton. Good for a half day visit. A ticket has return for a year free.

The personnel was very nice. I thought it would be mainly the Concorde but there is quite a few more things to see inside. They have the last Concorde ever to fly, and explain all the wonders of it. No mention to the tragic accident in Paris, though. Happy to have visited and get to see a piece of recent history.

We love looking round air museums, this one was a real eye opener about how much has happened in Bristol. Also a real treat to see the Concorde.

It was really interesting and I'm proud to be British. Concord was awesome and the staff were really helpful. It was £17 to get in but you can go back anytime within a year for free on the same ticket. Fantastic place.
