The castle and grounds are beautiful! Stayed here for my honeymoon & couldn't have been happier. The hosts were very nice but not intrusive (something I worry about with b&B's). My husband and I had a whole half of a castle to ourselves! 10/10 would stay again!

This was honestly one of the best experiences I have ever had visiting anywhere. The hosts went above and beyond my wildest expectations with their hospitality knowledge and willingness to share as much information with me during my stay.

Very friendly fantastic breakfast spread excellent like something else out this world. Highly recommended to anyone. Amazing history sue will give you a great tour and historic talk on arrival. Close to lovely restaurant. We used sue recommended taxi driver he was very friendly thank you for the most wonderful experience of my life

Always get a great welcome when I'm here. The castle is full of historical features and is well placed for visits to Edinburgh, East Lothian and the borders

Lovely cosy rooms on 2 levels, woodburner wifi books games tv great views from private battlement. Fabulous friendly couple in great guiet location, just east and above A1 outside Edinburgh. Will recommend n look to visit in summer
