I got in this place to buy a beenie and I ended up buying 5 other pieces! The quality of the products is great and the price is great! What makes this place special though is its owner that happens to be the head behind the brand! He’s an amazing person that gave amazing suggestions and also made our buying experience great! It might sound exaggerated when I say he’s the nicest guy in sheffield, but he really is!

Stu and Ben are wonderful lovely people who run an amazing little shop on Division Street. The Alternative Store us full of amazing clothing ranging from hats with adorable minimalistic animals on to shirts trousers and dressed all at an amazing quality and an even better price. I personally have bought many rings from there which are always very high quality, never run colour onto my skin (like many cheaper made rings do) and have withstood as much abuse as I can throw at them. They pretty much always have a deal on whereby you get a 3rd item for free should you buy 2 items which makes the already reasonable prices even better. I am always served with a smile and Stu always has a wonderful vibe about him, a company which is there for the customer and community before it's own profits. If you happen to be in Sheffield don't leave without taking a glance into The Alternative Store.

Such a lovely warm shop! I had a general chat with Stu about Christmas decorations and mentioned how I’d been on the hunt for a Christmas decoration in memory of my mum, who’d passed away. We’d spoke about how I couldn’t find one that was perfect, and told me his wife had hand picked a few and would try sort something out for me. Much to my delight the perfect decoration was found. Not only was it beautiful, but had the essence of my mums Indian heritage in it. We spoke about how the design looked like an Indian sari, and how my mum would have loved it. Safe to say we both had a little cry. I may have lost my mum, but I gained a friend through the Alternative Store.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Talked us through all of their products and sizes. Wonderful T-shirts and sweaters and hoodies. Beautiful Sheffield quality clothes. Will shop there again. Great 3-for-2 deal on currently.

This is a great shop! It has very good quality T-shirts, hoodies, jeans, etc. and some really lovely jewellery. They do good deals and are also friendly in an authentic Sheffield way :)

Great prices and deals. Has a good mix of branded items and own brand, which the own brand items are super quality. One of my favourite places to shop in Sheffield!
