Comfortable apartments, great Internet, and most importantly you'll feel safe here. Travis, the manager, is one of the most responsive, professional, reliable and friendly people you'll ever meet. Do not worry a single bit about getting any maintenance or issues sorted, Travis got your back!

Onyx residence was a lovely place to live. The location is great if you regularly need access to the city centre or the train station and the accommodation itself is very welcoming. There is a strong sense of community in the building, which is down to the concierge, Travis Ambrose. He is often the first face you’ll see in a morning and loves to stop and have a chat. He knows the residents well and so makes sure any problems are dealt with quickly. He organises community events that all of the residents can take part in which is a good way to meet new people in the building. He does a good job of making Onyx feel like a home instead of a block of flats. Being relatively new to Sheffield it was nice to have Travis around to ask for support and advice which he was happy to provide. A big reason why many people in the building, including myself, renewed for another year was because of Travis. He goes above and beyond for his tenants.

I lived here for a year. The apartment was in a perfect location, close to the trains tation and university. I felt very safe in my flat, which was important to me as I was living alone. The corridors and main reception were cleaned every few days, feeling clean warm and inviting. Travis was incredibly firendly and helpful when I had any questions. All problems I reported with the flat were dealt within a few days of me reporting. I rented a car parking space which unfortuanately on a few occasions was being occupied by people that did not pay, Travis was quick to sort this. Internet was average, worked on my laptop but not on my phone for some reason. Unfortunatley following my stay I was hit with a massive £120 cleaning reduction from my deposit. But due to a lack of response, incorrect documentation and a lack of evidence from the very unhelpful deposits team, I was able to dispute this claim with the TDS and I reciveved it back, 4 months after moving out. Just remember to picture everything when moving in and out, this saved me!!!

I stayed on the first floor of Onyx. Is a well equipped property despite the size. I liked the fact everything I needed was inside the apartment. I would say the bathroom is cold as insulation doesn’t seem to be the best and the hob space is small. Sound does travel throughout the building with activity from other tenants. Location you can’t complain about. In terms of customer service and the overall process of living there, Travis is a credit to YPP. He addressed any issues I had and always followed up. Throughout my tenancy he was friendly and took care of me. He amazed me on many occasions with his knowledge and understanding of everything offering his own time to ensure I was moved in on day one addressing any issues and even when my tenancy ended he went the extra mile. I would give him 5 stars if this form was about my experience with him.

I was a tenet here for 1 year. I enjoyed my stay and was impressed with the communication and friendliness of the concierge (Travis). When ever I needed something he would help me. Overall very satisfied and impressed with onyx residence and I would recommend this place.

Only been in the accommodation for a year and if I could make any recommendation it would be to sign at this accommodation just to have Travis as your receptionist, lovely guy who will have a lovely conversation with you to cheer you up if you are down etc. This man needs a promotion or a raise as he is a super star

I've been living here for the past 2 years and it saddens me to leave this lovely place. This building is filled with loving people and always willing to help out one another. The receptionist, Travis, is exceptional and very friendly as well as Adrian, head of maintence. Everything gets fixed swiftly with Adrian and he's always reachable! his dedication to his job is exceptional and is always very friendly.

I stayed at Onyx for a year and never had any issues. It felt very safe and I was comfortable. Travis was always helpful and available when I needed help. Would definitely recommend for students and young professionals.

Lived there for almost 3 years, loved it! The staff were so friendly and I would always have a good chat with them throughout the day. Especially Travis at Reception, who would go above and beyond to help with any issues found. Really appreciate how lovely he is, and Travis has even helped send me a parcel that accidentally got sent to them after I moved. Loved the style of the flats and location! Wish I could have taken the whole building with me when I left! All maintenance issues were quickly resolved and conducted in a professional and polite manner.

I moved into Onyx in September last year and I have already renewed for next year as I love living here so much. The building itself is modern, priced well considering the great location and everybody is very welcoming. Travis Ambrose, who is usually on reception, has been amazing in every aspect. He is prompt in dealing with any issues if they do arise, very friendly, talkative and approachable. Really recommend Onyx, the location is fantastic and it is very ideal for students / professionals working in the city centre area.

A beautiful place to stay, closed to almost everywhere, also support staff. Travis was always willing to help and excellent.

Really great facilities and the building manager is really nice!! An affordable luxury apartment. Very worth the price, especially for students!!
