Lovely coffee in nice surrounds. Staff very friendly and welcoming. The premises have recently been refurbished to a very high standard by the owners. The seating etc in lounge is beautiful.

Food was not bad apart from my partners steak which had more fat on it than meat. But why you only got a 3 star was went to the bar to get a gin and tonic everyone else was getting a gin glass we got a soft drinks glass then the bar tender proceeded to pull a giant tub of limes when one of her colleagues pulled something from the top of it which was in tin foil (don’t know what was in the tin foil but shouldn’t have been in the tub with the limes)and used her hands to put the lime in the glass. With all that’s went on with covid and health and hygiene we shouldn’t be using our hands to put stuff in drinks glasses. Disappointing after all the great reviews

I like the Fort, a friendly and welcoming bar in Broughty Ferry. Offering a wide selection of food and drinks - with a great outdoor space (covered roof that retracts in better weather). The one thing I didn't really like are the TVs - they're a distraction from good conversation. I can stay at home to watch TV, I go out to meet friends.

I was at your restaurant on Sunday for tea. I was served by a girl called Bronah. She was soooo lovely and helpful. I'm a really awkward customer as I like my food and coffee a particular way and Bronah accommodated all of these for me. All of the staff were lovely, but Bronah's customer service was outstanding. Very valuable member of your team!

Started great night, young host with glasses (apologies didn't catch name and shame he wasn't there all night) superb food and good night was being had with old friends. End of night soured by Eddie munster lookalike who was barking orders about table being required back every 5 mins. I know its a busy time of year but there's ways and means to speak to customers. Said host Might just need a calming down a bit. Shame, probably will be back but did spoil the end of our night!!

Tasty food and nice to see half portions as an option so was able to enjoy a favourite as a lightish lunch. Service was good and nice atmosphere. Recommend booking ahead as it’s popular and usually quite busy.

Great food for a decent price. Decent friendly service. It was quite loud with so many people sitting in one area but you can't really do anything about that. Overall, worth a visit.

Great family owned pub. Lovely beer garden, great decor. The food menu has a great selection and offers half portions. The Guinness was really good too! The staff were friendly and efficient. Overall a great pub!

The food and service are excellent. The menu is varied and should suit all tastes. Probably best to book a table, which goes to show how popular it is for food.

Really nice relaxed atmosphere here. The place is pretty big, nice proper pub vibes on one side and relaxed dining as you move throughout the building. The menu is simple but varied, definitely something for everyone's taste and the place gets busy, so during peak times I'd advise booking in advance. The food is excellent, there were 4 of us, we all ordered different meals, and we all enjoyed them all, good size portions means you'll leave here with a full tummy. The staff were attentive and friendly, really nice having the craic so all in all a nice experience. Gets the thumbs up from me

Loved it. Decent sized pub that turns into a club later on. Food was solid, pints were cold. Lots of seating, didn't need reservations for a Saturday lunch. Really close to the harbour, so you can have a walk and see some nice views too.

This was my first visit to the Fort, I had been told alot of good things about it's food so went to try it out, the staff are friendly and attentive, I ordered Haggis bites to start, I enjoyed them alot, I then had the steak, the steak was cooked perfectly to my liking serverd with peppercorns sauce chips onion rings and mushroom and tomatoes and for desert I had sticky toffee pud now imo this was the star of the meal, very sweet moist sponge covered in sweet toffee sauce, I would recommend you to try the fort for yourself and yes I will be back to enjoy other tasty meals from your menu

Great service despite being very busy on a Friday evening. Girls very attentive and could not do enough for us. Macaroni cheese to die for and half portion more than enough for even a big appetite. Defo be back.

Visited yesterday after it being recommended. Very friendly welcoming staff.we sat outside the front for drinks and inside.I liked the idea how it was separated into different sections so one for eating one for drinking and a lovely good sized beer garden.defo go back again next time we visit the ferry.

A lot of hotels and restaurants could learn from this place. They serve smaller portions, though when you see the size of them, you just wonder how big the normal ones are. I usually end up taking some of mind home as I can't eat it all. Food is well cooked, well presented and served by very friendly staff. Been back 4 times in few weeks as it is on our road home when away doing weddings. Great excuse for not cooking when we get home.

Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and staff were very nice however one of our party was involved in an accident when a chair gave way. Staff were very good in getting an ice pack and checking if anything else could be done to help. It would have been a nice gesture if the injured party had been offered either a discount or her meal for free.

Dreadful. Took one and a half hours to get any food, and 4 attempts to order to get that far. Food was mediocre and even the chips were not hot. The steak pie we sent back as it literally looked like a dogs dinner. There were multiple staff members but no one seemed in charge, or directing anything. It was terrible. Such a shame, used to go a lot, wouldn't go back after today.

We visited for dinner tonight and are v glad we did. This place is trendy and smart, catering to all ages. A short cocktail list but good variety and a great selection of gins. Service was good from booking, to arriving and to serving drinks and food. V impressive all round. The food was delicious. Fajitas went down a treat, with the usual salsa, guacamole, sour cream and lots of cheese on the side. Our vegetarian enjoyed the mac and cheese with the garlic bread commended. Great value with smaller portions of many dishes for smaller eaters. We were so full we couldn't manage dessert but will definitely be back. Would definitely recommend the Fort!

Lovely place, lovely food, I got a hair in my food and it was delt with quickly and replacement was quick and piping hot. Place is lovely and staff are friendly. Good value for money. You can order small portions or large portion. Note when you get the small some people say it's about your average size meal. Large is fairly big it filled me up for most of the day 😊

Staff are great, very helpful. Room was very clean and quiet. In a c-19 environment they are definitely looking after the resident. Great value, good selection of lagers and the odd cask. Centre of town & five mins walk from the beach. I was lucky with parking but there’s plenty of street parking within easy reach. I didn’t eat here but it looked great. I even found live sport around the corner (see photo) Great place in a great “superb” of Dundee.

First visit to new beer garden with friends for lunch. Easy booking system, confirmed with an email. Friendly staff, track and trace, at entrance with gels to use. sat at table with swing seat. Ordered drinks and wrote our food selection on a sheet just tick the boxes at what you require. We had steak pie, fish n chips and baked potato with tuna, all freshly made and delicious. A slight drop of rain and the canopies above us were utilised, just before the heavens opened. Lights came on in ceiling and sides, making a luvly atmosphere listening to the rain. A very enjoyable lunch/ afternoon had by all. Will return. :)

We went for mother's day and had quite a large party (9 in all, with 4 kids). They put us in the beer garden which was fine, a little bit chilly but totally doable. The food was nice, burgers are tasty and the fish and chips was popular too. The desserts were good as well, all in all a nice, reasonably priced pub meal.
