Poor service I arrived for my appointment approx 5 minutes early. The receptionist was lovely and called me within minutes for the preliminary test. It went downhill from there , despite there being no other customers waiting. I sat and waited to be called. 30 minutes later still not called and no one came to give me any updates.There was lots of staff chatting , but I was just ignored. I could have made a scene but simply walked out . Such a waste of time. Do they not think people have other commitments and have time to waste.Won’t be going again.

I’d had an eye test before and was nervous about finding my first glasses. But on entering Optical Express I was greeted by Matt who was friendly, knowledgeable, and took all the anxiety out of finding the right pair for me as a new wearer. Great service. Wide selection on offer. And a relaxed, non-pressured environment thanks to Matt. I will be back to make the purchase soon. Highly recommend!

I went in today to see if the inner pads of my glasses could be fixed. I was greeted by Ronan, who was absolutely wonderful. They were able to deal with my query and fix the inner part.

Good experience with eye tests and purchase of 2 pairs of adult glasses (1 free) and a pair of child’s glasses. Matt who served us was great, professional, friendly and very efficient. Seamless process that is usually less so. Second time going, will now use permanently.

Booked in online which was easy enough. Delay in being seen but I appreciate patient time can run over. Tests were fine though I wasn’t told what my pressure reading was at the time so asked when I returned to collect my glasses and still wasn’t told (I asked but forgot to remind them before I left). I had new lenses as my frames were fine. All appears to be good with them though they are varifocals so still getting used to them.

Went for a laser eye consultation yesterday and I can't praise Kerry and Patrick enough, they were friendly, personable, patient and very thorough, explaining everything I needed to know in clear detail. One of the best experiences I've ever had in an opticians. Needless to say, thanks to their care and attention to detail, I'm now booked in for laser eye surgery next month! Thank you.

I went for my daughters glasses at sheffield meadowhall optical express store. Their customer service was amazing, from the minute they welcomed us to the end til we left the store. Matt & kelly served us. The way they made us feel so comfortable, made sure my daughters aged 11 and 8 years glasses fitted them perfectly. The both staff members had brilliant sense of humour & dealth with my children so kindly & with full respect. Im so glad we have changed our optician from martin kemp to optical express meadowhall where we are well looked after. Thanks once again Matt & Kelly. You are amazing assett to the company.

Matt did a great job fixing me up with an eye test and 2 new pairs of specs, He was very professional and has a good sense of humour - highly recommend him at Optical Express Meadowhall. ( not sure about his Ninja turtles Xmas jumper though!)

I actually have not had a face to face appointment at optical express but I am giving them 5 stars because of their excellent customer service. Easy to get in touch with, answered all my questions (a lot), they answer quickly, outside of office hours, friendly and very helpful. I am very impressed with their approach.

My appointment was to check if I was suitable for laser eye surgery. Even though I was suitable my expectation was to be free from glasses, I have excellent vision for reading but need glasses permanently for distance. As he explained the pro’s and cons, unfortunately the laser eye surgery would mean I would be swapping the need for glasses for reading, I would also loose my excellent reading vision and as I sit at a computer and work using my phone a lot it would mean I still need glasses most of the day. I was slightly disappointed he said in the next 5-10 years it certainly something I could look at again. I hadn’t had any new glasses and sunglasses for about two years, so I bought some new ones that day. The staff were very friendly and professional. I’ve actually decided I will move to optical express as a customer from now on as I think the customer service was brilliant and the the lady who served me for my glasses helped me get a deal with both glasses.

Last month, while I was at Meadowhall, I encountered an emergency situation. The screw on my eyeglasses suddenly came loose, causing one lens to fall out. With my high prescription, I felt quite anxious. Fortunately, I found this store, and Helena warmly and friendly welcomed me. She not only repaired my glasses for free but also provided comforting reassurance. Without her, I would have felt utterly helpless trying to navigate my way home due to my poor vision. A heartfelt thank you to her! She is truly an outstanding employee, and the store is exceptional! 😭
