The gardens were simply at their best on our recent visit, I've never seen them looking so good! Our friends, one of whom had not been before was rightly impressed, an amazing garden and park adjoining, via a long path, across the flood basin you walk along a wooden cake walk, you can access the Mersey River, where long walks can be enjoyed, well to its source and opposite way going inland. Great for the intrepid hiker! You must go and sample the delights of this beautiful oasis and its flora and forna, you will not be disappointed!

Such a lovely park with many access routes. Stroll through the woodland area into the large fields. Lots of foraging to be had along the rows of trees. After the walk head back to the botanical gardens and to the cafe where they serve hot and cold drinks and food and do an amazing baileys hot chocolates, flat whites and have a bar! Dog friendly in all parts except the botanical gardens. Toilets and accessible toilet near the cafe

Loved this nature haven, spent a couple of hours walking round the rockery. Reminds me of temperate rainforest. Very beautiful and well maintained. Café lovely too, all outdoor but looks like there is great food on offer. We only had ice cream and sorbet.
