Impossible to communicate with these guys. They mess you around, whether there’s wind or not. You also have to chase them all the time. It’s like they don’t want to get new customers…I was trying to be one. Exact same feedback as the reviews from Sarah, Cathy, and all other one-stars’! I should have been warned…totally unreliable, totally flaky. Don’t waste your time. I was really hoping to take lessons at that spot!

Two of us did a beginner kitesurfing course. They handled the dodgy wind forecast very well and got us out on the water at the right times. The coaching was excellent and left us feeling safe and confident. We were able to make way more progress than we ever thought we could in the two sessions. They were also very helpful when we left some of our gear there by accident. Really good!

Lovely beach for exclusive use by CBK members or CBK day passes. This ensures that everyone has insurance and safety cover. Also means Bacon rolls and coffee provided by Chris Bull at weekends. Chris owns and runs CBK and is a very experienced and knowledgeable Kitesurfer, he can give you unbiased advice on kit, set ups, safety and weather/tide predicting. Low tide is protected by a large sandbar leaving a flat, waist depth lagoon for learning and freestyle. High tide can provide challenging swell and wave for the experienced. CBK has a shop near the sea front that is run by Rosemary, they have various kit and safety equipment for purchase and can sort out kite repairs and demo equipment to try before buying. They are very friendly and welcoming. Try to plan ahead as on windy and sunny days it can get really busy in the shop and Rosemary will be busy running around trying to sort everyone out so they get on the water.

First visit to Hayling and CBK on Sunday. Chris took the time to explain the free part of the beach and why there is a members (CBK) section at all. I decided that I would get a day pass and try out the spot… While out riding I was having a great time and unfortunately somehow had a kite inversion and couldn’t relaunch. Before I knew it a member had picked up my board and taken it back to the beach while I started my self rescue. I had just got aboard my sail when Chris turned up on his board and dragged me + kite back to the beach. When I arrived another member was waiting to help carry my stuff back up the beach. Saved me a good 30 mins and I was back out on the water again! Totally fantastic experience, will be back asap!

Ethan was an awesome teacher, very clear with his instructions and made the lesson very fun. I had a great time and felt extremely safe throughout the lesson!

I left a bunch of gear behind - bar, pump and harness. Rose was kind enough to lend me some gear for 24h which saved me a 5h trip home and back. She was friendly and helpful. I left a £££ deposit for her peace of mind. I returned the gear two days ago with gratitude. Would be great to have my deposit back.

I have recently joined CBK and 5/5 so far. Friendly atmosphere and always greet customers with a smile. The tuition is very good and easy to follow. Making me feel at ease every step of the way. Honestly. The club is awesome. Well done Rosemary + Chris and the other team members. I often look on Bigsalty and XCweather to check when I can get out on the water. My girlfriend got me into Kiting and was a member and this is how I found out about CBK. Have to say since starting a few years ago Hayling is one of the best places I've kited. Great location, shallow smooth flat water and waves if you want them and a great club backed up with a great shop and great tuition. Keep up the good work :-)
