I have been under the cedar centre for many years and had fantastic support up until the last couple of years, now not very good at all, made to feel on my own. calls are hardly returned and if they are im told only have a few minutes I really have to go, so made to feel like a nuisance .This last year when like most people have needed the service more than ever hardly any contact. Totally feel alone and no where to turn !!!!

Three years here got nowhere

Most of the Staff at this centre are WONDERFUL unfortunately one of the lead professionals is sadly lacking and clearly is in it for MONEY !

Even more useless than camhs.

Spoke to a mental health nurse ahead of my appointment with the consultant during a crisis, she emailed everything to my consultant who I saw online (he couldn't be bothered to see me in person, even though I see him once a year), and I asked if he'd seen the email so that he was aware of what was going on. He said he received a lot of emails, and if he had gotten it, he forgot. Lovely levels of professionalism. Mental health nurses here are lovely, and Olivia who is trying to sort things out with a new team, but some of these consultants are here for the money and don't give a toss.

To these you are a number and statisic they are not worried about your mental health in the slightest. My wife has been crying out for help from these for over a year and she is no better off over 12months on. I support my wife and fight her corner only to be kicked out of appointments becouse they don't like to be told the truth that they are a complete waste of tax payers money.

Overall a good experience with the cedar centre and consultant psychiatrist. If you're expecting weekly or even monthly appointments you will be disappointed. Fill the gaps by seeking a therapist whilst reading psychology through pioneers such as Carl Jung, Jordan Peterson, James Hollis, Marie Louise Von-Franz; and you will be halfway there. Remember the services are stretched and these people aren't magicians, they can only give you the wand to wave yourself. Good luck on your journey's.
