Really enjoyed a morning round today in dull conditions with virtually no wind. Course is very forgiving and really good fun. Green complexes are fabulous and in great condition. It's a links and after a dry summer fairways and tee boxes were not pristine but didn't detract from the experience. Didn't know whether to play here or at the old course and am glad I chose the dunes. A great experience

Fantastic experience at Machrihanish Dunes yesterday. Lovely little clubhouse, very informal and relaxed atmosphere. Staff couldn’t have been friendlier and more accommodating, in particular Jock who was thankfully still around when we finished our round at 7:30pm to help us start our car (dead battery). Course is a brilliant, natural links that meanders through the dunes. Every walk to each tee box was exhilarating as all holes are hidden until your reach the tee area when you are presented with a fun, challenging hole ahead. We were lucky with the weather with it being sunny all day which I am sure helped our enjoyment but even in poorer weather I am sure the course will still be a thrill to play. Will 100% be back!

Such an amazing course. Near perfect October weather. Natural layout, in great shape, and beautiful views. A must play if you can make it over

We played this on a windy, drizzly late afternoon in early May. It was a battle of man against the course and it's great protector, the weather. The course is really well presented and possibly the best signed I have ever played. Every shot was a compromise to beat the weather. Needless to say pars were hard to find. The greens are multilevel and superbly kept. Good luck intrepid golfers. Jerry from CFGC, Bucks
