This was such a brilliant idea to go to. We managed to time it right to go to when it was on and we took our 3 year old daughter to it. I think it was £1 a ride so we had a few goes round with her on various miniature trains. She totally loved it. It's a great place to go with the family. Toy could bring a picnic and have a nice morning or afternoon there.

One of the best kept secrets of Plymouth, especially if you are into miniature steam trains. They have a small coffee shop, and basic amenities. It's mainly about the steam railway. They also do public rides. Check their website for details when they are there. (Mostly 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month).

Excellent afternoon out and really good value. Very helpful and friendly staff, always looking for additional volunteers. Getting ready for opening for the summer season starting on the 1st Sunday in April which will be on the 3rd of April and then the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month up to and including October. See you there 😊. And now the teas, coffee and cake are back. The large amount of track work over the winter has now been finished, so the entire railway is open again. Exhibition day today which was very well attended. After a fantastic halonween day the railway is now closed for the winter, allowing all the maintenance to be done.

Lovely miniature trains. Perfect for children. As an adult it's a great excuse to take a child here so that you can play. The rides are 75p each. You may have to queue for a while but it's a cheep afternoon out. Check their website as they only run a couple of times a year. Adults can get involved and become members of the club.

Absolutely great idea for the family. Only issue I had was I had a head full of ash. Next time I'll make sure to sit further back.

We have been meaning to go here for a while and managed it for the Easter weekend. The queue was quite long but they had quite a few trains in operation so moved quicker than I thought it would. Whilst waiting we also did the Easter egg hunt through the woods and it worked really well for my 3 year old and she loved searching for the eggs. We will go back as one of the train routes was being redone so there was only the smaller track open but they did 2 laps for you and for just £1 per person it was great fun! So would love to try with the new track and bridge to go over 😍 Staff were friendly and helpful and love the trains themselves! My little one love watching them stoke up the mini steam trains with coal too while they were in the station 🚂

Fantastic little railway hidden in Southway at the end of a residential road. £1 per person, bargain.

Lovely little place. Very reasonably priced. Lovely train rides. Fab to fill a couple of hours. Very busy today as sun was out. Could do with a couple of pieces of play equipment to occupy little ones when waiting for trains but had a fab few hours.
