👍👍 Very delicious food and quick service, about 5 min to prepare the order! Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere and delicious food. We tried the first dish (noodles) on the menu, and chicken teriyaki (with rice), both are very delicious, please see pictures. It's a bit expensive though, just over a tenner... Very delicious food and quick service, about 5 min to prepare the order! Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere and delicious food. It's a bit expensive though, just over a tenner for a dish, but definitely worth it! 😋

Delicious ramen and starters. We fell in love with Little Moons desserts, amazing! The experience was unforgettable, we had a great time. Staff was really kind, professional and fast. Food was just amazing, splendid, made with love. The restaurant is also very cute. Highly recommended, we will be back.

I enjoyed everything we ordered and had at Maki & Ramen. Sushi was fresh and delicious with perfect rice. Ramen flavors and boodles were amazing. The staff were very kind and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Ramen was good for taking photos only. Noodle was cooked too soft, soup was not rich enough but salty and I only got 2 thin slices of pork. At such a price, I’m not going for second time. Sorry.

Such a pleasant atmosphere, great food and lovely staff! Would totally recommend the Hell Ramen and the Little Moons ( coconut was my favourite 😋) absolutely do not pass up eating here, and don't forget to leave a Post-It doodle for the wall!

Samples the chicken ramen during a solo Sunday lunch and it was very good. The chicken karaage was fresh and generous portion-wise. The broth was tasty and had a slight heat to it as billed on the menu, as well as good depth of flavour to it. The handmade noodles were excellent too and there was plenty of seaweed and ginger in the dish, too. The restaurant is comfortable inside with big windows in which to watch the world to buy and a slightly open kitchen where you can observe the hustle and bustle of the kitchen. Staff were very efficient and professional and the toilets were spotless.

The food at Maki & Ramen was delicious and authentic, with an aromatic blend of flavors that left my taste buds wanting more. The ramen was particularly outstanding - the broth was rich and savory, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and welcoming, and the service was top-notch. Overall, I would highly recommend Maki & Ramen to anyone looking for an amazing dining experience in Edinburgh!"

Okay, this is the best Ramen I've ever had and I implore Chef Lee to open one in London. Its so delicious and there are so many choices. We happened upon this restaurant and went back the second night. Sooo good. The spicy ramen and the burnt garlic one were our favourite 😋

Absolutely great fan of Maki Ramen. I come to this Maki Ramen on Leith Street a lot. Not only because I freaking love their ramen, but also because they’ve got amazing service here. The staff treat you like a friend and they are very attentive service wise. Favourite two ramen are STEAK TATAKI RAMEN and HELL RAMEN. They are both spicy, but the eh are SUPER good. Steak Ramen has coconut cream in it which gives it a slightly more refreshing taste and less spicy than Hell Ramen, but if you like something creamy, savoury, and full of umami of pork bone, go for Hell Ramen!! Pumpkin croquettes, pork gyoza, and spicy teriyaki chicken are all heaven, they are totally my go-to options for sides. Shame that i don’t have such a big appetite, otherwise i will order all three at once. (But I guess this is better for my wallet) Note that this restaurant don’t take any reservations, neither do they do sushi, so if you are in this part of the town and want sushi, go to SJQ, another cute branch of theirs, although I myself vibe more with Leith Street. Sometimes they could be super busy, so if you plan to visit, come in advance.

First time we've tried Ramen in Scotland and we definitely weren't disappointed! The food was delicious - we had Hell Ramen and Steak Tataki Ramen with a Prawn Bai - and the service was very attentive of their customers. We'll absolutely recommend the restaurant and will return ourselves😊 Try also the lovely rice tea!

My husband & I had dinner at Maki & Ramen for his birthday and it was a pretty good experience. We did have to wait for about 20 mins because they were packed, but as soon as we sat down they took our drink and dinner order. I ordered their vegetarian ramen and my hubby ordered their chicken ramen. It was pretty good! Not the best ramen I’ve had but it was pretty good. Their portions are huge! So definitely go with an appetite. Our waiter was very direct and to the point. Not much interaction but understand with how busy they are. However, the gentleman that closed our tab was super friendly. The place in general is cute, cozy, and colorful. The post it notes are just adorable. I would recommend this place for sure!

I highly recommend coming to this place, either if it’s for breakfast, lunch or dinner :) Special shoutout to Robyn! Amazing service and personality, easy going and talkative. Definitely coming back… My friend and I both work at Michelin Star restaurants and highly recommend this place, and meeting Robyn of course <3

It's my second time here. I really enjoyed having a hot soup on a cold day. The ramens here are quite authentic. The broth is so rich in flavour.

We were VERY happy that we came here. The food was amazing! I had the hell ramen and it was next level good! Very spicy so be prepared. The seaweed side dish was also very good. Lovely staff and service. The place is covered in post it notes from everyone that has visited which is lovely. Highly recommend.

45 minutes waiting time, in the rain, before a free table. Top choice for me as a vegan, but the price was very high. Fast Service, but some stuff where out… (Buns and Cola). Delicious food!!! Portions are not so big, so without sides, it happens, that I leave the restaurant and go straight to a next one. ;-) No one asked us for drinks. We sat next to the door and the door doesn’t closed automatically, so the wind came in side… and must close the door by ourselves. The restroom are not so clean…

Incredible place to have some really nice ramen. I come here to try the Edinburgh Ramen and I have to say : I was impressed. The food was gorgeous, full of flavour and tasteful. I have the basic ramen with some takoyaki. Everything was delicious, the takoyaki was really hot so pay attention when you get it. I had the basic ramen and it was amazing. It miss naruto as usually in U.K. 🥲. I have been served by this young lady, professional on her job and with her kind carisma and her amazing smile made me enjoy my meal. Really suggested to come here to experience not only the food, but also the ambient as it’s look traditionally Japanese. 10/10

The service was really quick and friendly. We both had vegan ramen dishes which were really good. A bit too much seaweed for our taste. The kimchi was mild but really good! We came in a few minutes after 12 am and after mere minutes the restaurant was filled to the brim.

Food was good but the service was the worst in Scotland. Outdoor tables need some more love. We asked for water 4 times to 2 different servers when they passed by. They all said sure but we havent got any water during our dinner here.

We enjoyed the meal. I wouldn't say that standing in line to get into this restaurant is recommended. The service was great, and it's a cosy atmosphere. We didn't get the ramen, but those looked really good.

Loved it! Ramen was amazing!! We also tried the pumpkin croquettes and the the takoyaki and they were lovely too!! Honestly, everything was delicious and with really good price, it's really worth it. Staff was nice.

What a great place!! Small ramen restaurant in the city centre. Awesome quality, food was 10/10. The service was really good too, hats off to the South Carolina guy! He was very nice to us and our baby and made things very easy for us.

I love this restaurant in Edinburgh, ramen is my favorite! This restaurant has a very cool vibe, very lively. The service we received was a bit slow. However, the manager was very apologetic for the situation. It looked to me like they had a staffing shortage, so I couldn't blame them for the slow service.

Reasonable prices. Fast and friendly service. Delicious Japanese cuisine. What else could you ask for? If you like Japanese food give this a try it'll be much worth your time!

It was a pleasant experience to taste this delicious Asian cuisine. I loved the salmon sushi and the ramen, were totally delicious. It’s not my first time there but is always a unique taste experience. The staff is very kind and ready to allocate your table, there weren’t any waiting time but sometimes you should make a booking to get a place. #maki&ramen #asianfood #edinburghtestaurant #asianfoidedinburgh #tastyfood

We popped in for lunchtimeish after a long drive and we were seated quickly, this is one of their smaller stores but there are a couple around Edinburgh. We love our food, always a comfort food and the restaurant has a cosy atmosphere.

Strolled past this restaurant trying to find our way in Edinburgh. so glad that we did. Best ramen I’ve ever had. Came quick and was delicious. Downside is that if I want to have this ramen again I have to make another 250 mile trip from Leeds.

OK, so this is seriously good Ramen, veggie and vegan options too. The Seaweed Salad is the hidden gem and even the Tempura is good (so often it's too heavy and oily this was just right). Staff the perfect blend of friendly and not intrusive (which is so important when you are dining solo!) Highly recommend. Oh! and reasonable too!

Taste is great, but disappointed in portions. Never seen a sushi roll this slim and TINY in my life. On the picture they look MASSIVE. Ramen only takes half of the big bowl, small in portions. Very different from the menu.
