I am a big lover of gin! And this is exactly the place where gin lovers need to go. The distillery has been hidden in the lovely historic basement. The staff were very welcoming and lovely. We came and had a glass of classic gin like a warm up starter. The guide introduced us the bit of gin history and the process of making the gin. He was so funny and really enjoyed every word of the story. We moved to the another room, where we had 4 gins to try. It was absolutely delicious! In the end you will get 10% off shopping the gin and the drinks at the bar. And also emailed 10% off from online Edinburgh gin store, brilliant isn’t it? The tour was 60mins and the toilets available!

Attended the Cocktails Through the Ages tasting at Edinburgh Gin and had such an incredible time - I would recommend this to absolutely anyone! The event was hosted by Natasha with help from her colleagues Chloe and Jeni. All three were so lovely, welcoming and put us at ease straight away. Natasha was a fantastic host, giving us lots of information in a fun & engaging way. There was even a little quiz with the chance to win some cool prizes which I loved! The cocktails themselves were divine, I'm not usually a big fan of negroni's but they converted me at this tasting. There were also fruity cocktails, citrusy cocktails, floral cocktails - you name it, they had it! A real dream for anyone looking to expand their taste and try something new. The atmosphere Natasha created was phenomenal, my friend and I ended up going to a bar with some of the people we met at the tasting as we were all having such a good time we didn't want the night to end!

The tasting session was fantastic value for money. A regular pub would charge more for the amount we actually got to sample, let alone for the engaging and in depth lesson about gin we got from the wonderful Colette. Would highly recommend for anyone in, or just visiting, Edinburgh who enjoys a spot of gin.

Best gin I have had. We did a Gin tasting at a restaurant near by and found out about this distillery. They have both spirits and liqueurs. The gin flavor combinations were amazing! We loved all the flavors for mixing with tonics and waters. We bought as much as we could fit in our suitcase. We love the shops friendly staff and fun atmosphere. We are so sad we can’t get this gin back in the states, fingers crossed we can one day. I ended up getting the Elderflower gin liqueur duty free b/c I wanted it so bad. Decent pricing as well. We also loved the raspberry liquor. You should get some of this gin it will change your G+T game for ever.

I’ve attended more than a few Cocktail events however none as exceptional as the ‘Cocktails Through the Ages’ Event at Edinburgh Gin Distillery Hosted by Natasha, who was an incredibly engaging, knowledgeable and chilled out host, and supported by Chloe and Jeni who created some amazing cocktails behind the scenes for us, this is a relaxed, fun and thoroughly enjoyable experience for cocktail lovers everywhere! EXCEPTIONAL COCKTAIL TASTING THAT YOU’LL WANT TO DO AGAIN (AND AGAIN) The range of cocktails covered opened my eyes to new ways to create a number of classic cocktails. Will be back for another event without question Highly recommended

We really liked our experience at Edinburgh Gin Distillery. We took the £25 tour and could taste 4 gins with possibility of adding tonic and other toppings, a gin tonic and a gin liqueur. Our guide Callum took us through the history and process of gin making, was super interesting and funny. An hour went by super fast, with 30 min more time it would have been less of a rush. Highly recommend if you are in search of an alternative to all the whisky tasting in Scotland!

We booked for a group of 6 and, unfortunately, one of our members fell ill the morning of our booking. Edinburgh Gin was so accommodating and sent us home with a “driver’s pack,” so our friend could have her tastings when she was better. Our guide, Freddy, was super knowledgeable, funny, friendly and put on a wonderful tour. The gin was fantastic and the company was great! Would recommend.

We opted for the gin and chocolate pairing and thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Peter was a brilliant guide and the whole experience really changed my view of gin.

Paid £25 a head for a tasting and felt it was worth it. Adrianna was a great guide and the gin tasted nice, too. Would recommend it if you're a fan of gin.

We had such a great time at our gin tasting experience! Natasha, our host was simply the best - kind, funny and very knowledgeable. We went over their gorgeous store at Hanover street and bought some gin to bring back home. It was definitely a highlight and we highly recommend doing this during your Edinburgh trip!

Probably the best thing we did in Edinburgh. Bit of a hidden gem - we had a (fun) history of Gin, tour of the small batch manufacturing setup and then the tasting of 5 drinks in total. Courtney was ace - thanks guys!

Great experience at the Edinburgh Gin distillery. The distillery itself is very small, however can produce a surprising amount of Gin per week. I would say it was more of a tasting than a tour as the distillery is so small, but it is very informative and interesting all the same. We received 5 shots of gin and a further gin and tonic, with an option to purchase a bottle of gin at a reduced price. Would definitely recommend to others but a note of warning, you will feel the effects of the gin, particularly on an empty stomach so just something to keep in mind.

Took my Mum as part of her birthday trip to Edinburgh. The talk about the history and making of gin was really interesting and well explained. Courtney was excellent and was a great host. You got to try a variety of gin, gin liquers and a gin cocktail. Really good value for money and lasted nearly 2 hours.

Thank you Davide for being a great host and making our experience lovely at Edinburgh Gin Distillery. Just loved the details Davide shared about the gin making process and how well he explained about the history. The current location is really approachable however was told it will be shifted soon to an even more approachable location and in a state of the art facility.

Amazing experience with an amazing host. Loved learning the brief but eventful history of the distillery. A great end to our honeymoon. Hoping to see Edinburgh Gin on Canadian shelves soon!

We had a brilliant morning tasting gin and learning lots of interesting facts about its history and the production process. Peter was a knowledgeable and fun host and we really enjoyed our time here. Oh and their gins are also really good!

Super fun Tour and our guide Vilio was incredibly knowledgeable and fun! The samples were generous and we learned a lot about gin-distilling and the company history. Definitely something to add to your Edinburgh itinerary.

Wonderful experience. My partner and I booked it for first thing in the morning, thinking it was more of a tour. Turns out that there isn't a lot of walking required to learn about Gin but there are lots of tasting opportunities. We spent an amazing hour in their comfortable underground den being very entertained by the excellent Adrianna about the different types of Gin (and tasting them). If you're not much of a drinker it might be a good idea to have a big breakfast beforehand and leave yourself time in afterwards for a good strong coffee to help the absorption.

The gin & chocolate pairing experience was amazing! The whole experience was brilliant! Loved the host, Natasha, the history, fun facts and of course the gin! My sister and I just moved the Edinburgh and wanted to try this gin properly - it did not disappoint. I was surprised at how many styles and flavours they had as well, there’s really something for everyone! It was really interesting to learn about the pairings and why they worked so well. It was also quite nice to have a smaller group size - there were 6 of us total which is just perfect! The location was so beautiful and we got to see the whole place including a change of location for the end of the tasting - the booths were super cool! Learning about the history of gin/EG and what the future holds for them was great, cannot wait to check out the new location in a few years time 🙌🍸💯

What a terrific distillery tour & tasting! Everyone at Edinburgh Gin was lovely, and especially our guide Shannon. This tour was so informative and delicious, in a very cool basement-level space. I’ve been on many distillery & winery tours in Europe and the U.S., and this was a standout: we never felt rushed, and Shannon created a lovely camaraderie amongst the tour group too. Delightful!

Gin has been a fascination for me and as a spirit it holds the second place after whiskies. It was a pleasant to attend the craft distillery tour at the Edinburgh Gin Distillery. The guided tour went well and was informative on the process of creating a crafted spirit, in an artisanal way. The tour took place in a limited space, occupying a basement area in the downtown of Edinburgh. After some explanation of how this spirit is distilled, a gin tasting awaits the visitors. In my visit it was four kind of gins that went under the test. Each one has a specific aromatic design, differing in spices and additional herbs to create the palatable taste. The gin taste was quite enriching in knowledge. Finally, the visitors were given a gin-tonic cocktail experience, using the artisanal spirit distilled at this factory. I found the tour well designed and delivered, even the limited space and utensils involved.

We had the best time at our tasting and tour! Our guide, Chloe, was wonderful and made it so fun. We loved seeing the stills and learning how the gin is made, and everything we tried was delicious. Would highly recommend! It was well worth the money.

My friend and I had an amazing time on Callum’s tasting! He was informative and funny and personable and was the perfect guide for two Americans on our gin tasting journey. The whole experience was super engaging and we would recommend this to anyone looking to discover the world of craft and flavored gin. Plus the whole space feels like a speakeasy/bond film
