From the minute we arrived the front of house staff were friendly and informative and they continued to be throughout our stay and beyond. I left a pair of diamond earrings in the room and only when back in London did I realise. The very honest team sent them back to me via special delivery the next day - I couldn’t believe my luck! On top of that, The room and en-suite incredibly spacious, the powerful shower was excellent - everywhere super clean. Really lovely quiet room with a tremendously comfy bed all Walking distance to everywhere in Edinburgh city centre. My husband and I certainly won’t bother stay anywhere else in Edinburgh again. A little gem of a hotel Highly highly recommend. 10/10

Since we arrived the welcoming was friendly and helpful. We got information about the room and the rules but also about the city and where to eat. The interiors are really charming, like a jump into Downton Abbey. Our room was bigger than we thought and the bed was really comfortable. We didn't have any trouble during our stay although we would have liked to have the breakfast included. The way breakfast work is that there is a selection of products to purchase at ground floor or pay to have a Scottish breakfast in a nearby bed and breakfast. Overall, we really liked our stay and we highly suggest this place.

Location is quiet but a little bit of a walk to shops and transportation. Loved the authentic feel of Scotland

The most spacious hotel room I have ever lived in. The front desk was very nice and helpful. The room is decorated in old fashion which is quite different experience from most hotels.

One of the best hotel in Edinburgh city centre. So local and short walk to everywhere. We went to Dean Village, Edinburgh Castle, Haymarket, Princes Street etc. The room is spacious, bathroom is a proper big one with jacuzzi bath and separate shower plus a bidet... how posh is that? We have hot drink, kettle, microwave, and a coffee maker, but we are not sure how to get the capsule for the coffee. It is a quiet place. Parking is at the back and spacious, cost us £10/night. We had a lovely time.. it's a gem.

Old English vibe to the Decoration of the rooms which is exactly what I was going for, for my trip to Edinburgh. The reception is open from 8am to 8pm which are handy times for when you need them. On-call Cleaning is available from 8am to 12pm which gives you more than enough time in the morning to ring the receptionist and let them know you might want the room cleaning or to just empty your bins. Perfect place to relax and have a nice time in Edinburgh, I myself stayed for a week and every day I was just in awe at how wonderful the rooms were and have great the service was too, highly recommended.

Great place to stay, like home from home. All the facilities you require. Options to eat in or eat out, provide your own food, basic breakfast available in one of the lounges to take to your room. Local all day breakfast at discount.

Great spot close to Dean Village and quick walk to Princes Street which leads you to Oldtown and a lot of the pubs and restos around the Edinburgh core. Raul was great in checking us in + providing some local tips and maps Rooms were big, super clean with a great antique vibe. Well maintained and service was A1

More like an AirBnb with a beautiful room than a hotel - there is no breakfast service (which we knew going in), no room service, and no access to laundry which was disappointing. The location is decent, next to the pretty Dean village, but not exactly central Edinburgh.

Rooms were large, clean and comfortable. There is a fee to park car behind the hotel. Location is good. There is someone at the reception until 10 pm but readily available by phone. Definitely would stay here again.

Friendly staff. The room windows are not sealed properly and you can feel cold wind. However the large royal curtains stops cold and wind from getting it. The hotel house is lovely. They offer breakfast next door at B+B. I found ordering breakfast via food delivery app or go to nearest coffee shop.

Lovely old residence with lots of original features with friendly staff, very clean. No open bar or restaurant as such but there was an honesty bar which is a great idea if you wish to use it.Not too far from attractions and Centre. Will definitely be back.

Outstanding accommodation. This Georgian establishment is beautiful; the room we stayed in was very big and the ensuite was large including shower cubicle, bidet and spa bath. The facilities excellent and the view from our room magnificent.

We had a Grand Suite with fantastic views across Dean Village. The room was definitely grand and spacious with a large picture window. The bathroom had a separate shower and bath and was situated on a lower level. A small niggle would be the lack of bathrobes or slippers. There's no ironing board etc in the room but I'm sure it's available from reception ?
