Popped in here while on holiday after coming across it while looking up doggy friendly places in Angus. It was closed the day we went to the Castle but as we were staying quite close by we returned later in the week. I had heard of the Gin bothy before as our local shop sells some of their gin liqueurs but didn't realise it was in Glamis village so we had to go. Wow, what a selection they've got. We sampled a couple and of course had to buy some to take home. I'm pleased to say since getting home I've discovered our local shop has quite a few of the flavours in stock now so we won't run out but will definately be back. Great wee shop and area telling you all about how the gins are made. Well worth a stop off if in the area.

What a great experience! We really loved the gin tasting. We felt so warm and welcome and had an amazing time with delicious gins and great company by the other guests. At first we were a bit surprised that the tasting was not accompanied by a person but with a video. But actually it was really good that way, because during the tasting itself we to know the other guests better and had a lovely time together with them! We also ordered an additional sharing platter for two people and shared it among us three. We definitely can recommend that experience! Even if you're more into whisky tastings that's an awesome experience.

Always a great spot for coffee or juice. Staff are wonderful.. Limited choice of cake or snacks but pleasant surroundings, could be a great biker’s stop if more food options were available. Special place to buy some gin for another time. Highly recommend.

Whilst on holiday nearby I did afternoon tea & gin tasting here with my mum. The food was delicious, gins lovely, authentic atmosphere with bothy singing. Very friendly, helpful staff. We loved it! Wish it was nearer as we would definitely visit again.

Lovely shop selling locally made things. Staff all lovely, I tried a few gins and come away with 2 bottles - successful visit! I did this while visiting Glamis Castle - do the castle first as the exit takes you past here

We just stopped for something to eat and drink - amazing outdoor space, fab friendly and helpful staff, lovely display and explanation of the business. The video could rather be on a motion sensor as it was rather annoying to listen to ask the time while sitting eating. The ploughman's was lovely but could do with more cheese and less bics and bread. Sweets player was amazing, especially the shortbread - unfortunately there was none left for us to but to take home. Cocktails, though very well presented and tasted great im not convinced they had any alcohol in them. Very covid safe which, for an outside venue, is so welcome as most outside spaces are just left to clean themselves. All in all it was a wonderful experience and we would be back.

Gin tasting was excellent. 4 different gins with mixers to try out in a beautiful bothy setting. Video takes you through the different drinks which can be done at your own pace. Glamis is very pretty and this felt like a little step back in time. Would recommend as a place to bring overseas visitors
