Great selection of beer and food. Portion sizes and pricing is fantastic value. The food itself is of great quality. Not the best selection for vegetarians, something to keep in mind. Lighting is a bit too dim...but that's a small thing in the grand scheme of things. Good for a night out/catch-up or whatever.

I'm a local and I've been here so many times, every time it is amazing. Service always great, amazing beer, food always on point. This is easily one of the best places in Reading.

I have just visited Bierhaus for the first time, it was on my list for long time. And I have definitely not been disappointed. Brilliant selection of beers. That are fresh and taste amazing. Didn't have food this time, but what I could see it looked great. Staff was nice, pleasant and very helpful. Will definitely come again. Excellent pub/restaurant, highly recommend a visit.

A wonderful bierhaus in Reading Staff were so helpful and friendly A great selection of German beers on tap and in bottles along with some Belgium beers too. The food was really good value and also very good with lots of traditional fayre available. We booked a table ahead of the evening which made it easier on arrival. Thanks for a great evening

This place is great. Massive meal sizes and really tasty. Good value for money and great service with friendly staff. Lots of options of German beers so the place loves up to it name, you can get steins (1 litre glasses!!) To help your German experience. Brilliant place if you want to try german food and a very casual atmosphere for a chilled meal and a few drinks.

2nd visit here & both have been great. No frills but good honest authentic German beer and food. First time I had bratwurst which were delicious & the sauerkraut the best I've had outside of Germany. This time Beirhaus roulade, pork filled with cheese/gherkin & pan fried, it was tasty but unfortunately rather overcooked on one side which made it tough. Think it was probably an oversight on chefs part as all other meals have been top class. The wiener schnitzel is amazing! I particularly liked the strawberry beer and the banana beer also went down well. Would recommend a visit if you like trying different cuisines, we will definitely return.

Proper beer and great food, if you like your German grub (or are curious) then this is the place to be. Be warned, your eyes will be bigger than your belly, but thankfully they offer takeout boxes. I've missed going to a bierhaus since moving out of London, so glad to have found this place, will be back again, and again, and again....

Great place to go for authentic German food. Nice atmosphere inside. You feel a little bit like little Bavaria. Good selection of German lager and my favourite Erdinger Weißbier. Very friendly staff. Food freshly cooked and delicious. Had the Jägerschnitzel and I can only recommend that. The restaurant is located near the octagon, about 10 minutes walk from the oracle. Perfect place for a family meal, get together with friends or just to have a pint of great German beer. 2 thumbs up!

Very nice and cozy German beerhouse. The food is tasty and original. I would definitely recommend for a pint and some tasty curry wurst.

We had two mains there. Potatoes, pickles, sauerkraut and all drinks were pretty good, but as for a place that represents German cousin sausages were bad. People who tried sausages in Austria or Germany will agree with me.

Had a wonderful evening with my wife. Great atmosphere and food was yummy. Not you average British fayre… felt like I was back on holiday in Europe. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a great place to relax , chat , have a few beers or tuck into great food!

First time in there have to say the beers are fantastic and there range is very impressive but being German I suppose they would be, the young lady serving was very nice and pleasant all in all a nice experience

Awful, have spent 12 years in Germany, that was not Krombacher. Also complained that glass was warm, said it was her hand warming it up. Did not offer a colder glass.

Tasty and good value. It was quiet when we visited even though it was a Saturday night which is a shame as it’s a great place!

Big portions of good food, beer was great quality, decent prices, great atmosphere. If anything the only complain was it took a while to get seated because they're so popular!

Absolutely love the food here. I used to live in Austria and always miss the food, so it's amazing to finally have the option to eat a schnitzel! Great value for money as well as the portions are pretty big. They also have great vegan options. Only wish delivery is more readily available!

This is one of our favourite restaurants in Reading - fantastic menu, really tasty food and vegetarian options. Also great to get a tankard of beer. Nice friendly atmosphere. Beware, the platter is way too big for two people!

I love Bierhaus. Its as simple as that! Great food, great beer, great people. Its my go-to place for German food - and did I mention the beer? THE BEER! So many choices - a great range of canned & bottled but its the draft that are my favourite. I cannot recommend this place enough. My only qualm is I have tried to go for lunch a couple of times when they dont open until later in the day!

Love the beer here, and the food is good traditional fair. Staff are always friendly, but what let's it down are the erratic opening times. Took a friend one Friday as I had told him how good it was. Should have opened at 4pm, but 4.20pm and still not open, so we went elsewhere. Not the first time either
