A small place but really great staff. The falconers are very knowledgeable, the birds well kept and only currently £4 for an adult ,£2 for children . They even do birthday parties as well as falconry and owl experiences. Norman the Eagle owl is lovely. Definitely worth a visit.

Had a great time at our owl handling experience. Sadie was fun, engaging and passionate about what she does which only made our time here better. Charlie the Indian Eagle Owl was a real character. Absolutely recommend.

Feathers and Fur came to a local WI meeting with some of their birds of prey and owner Sadie was a joy to watch and listen to. Passionate, knowledgeable and funny, Sadie is based normally at Moss End Garden Centre and if she's anything like she was at our WI meeting, I'd highly recommend going to see her if you are at all interested in birds of prey. Sometime small is beautiful and that is very true of Feathers and Fur, I attended a photography experience which was very relaxed Sadie was very helpful and the static settings for the birds gives some very natural shots. We'll worth the money and a place I will be visiting again. Have returned for another Photography experience and really must say that Sadie provides one of the best experiences around the area, her handling of the birds is superb allowing the opportunity to get some great photos. I am just staggered by the photos I am getting from the centre and cannot praise it enough, if you are thinking about trying a photo experience do not hesitate you really will not be disappointed.

We had the most excellent time with Olivia. Very knowledgeable and passionate. The very best gift for my Mums 80th birthday. As a lifelong owl lover, to be close to these magnificent birds was such a privilege. Thank you!

Absolutely terrific. Got given a birthday gift for the half day falconry experience. Put in a group of 6 people, perfect number as you get a lot of bird time! The lady in charge was absolutely splendid - so knowledgeable and charismatic as well. Would highly recommend!!!

Came across this lovely little place by chance and my husband and I throughly enjoyed it Good value for money ,I mean £4 each that's cheaper than a couple of pints these days Nearly all the birds were visible, though being daytime some of the owls were tucked up in their houses All the pens were very clean and the birds looked really well cared for .We were chatting to a lovely young lady ( sorry didn't get name) who was very knowledgeable and seemed passionate about her job Would definitely recommend a little trip if you're in the area

Feathers and Fur is amazing! We came all the way from the US, and it was worth it. We did the half day bird of prey experience, and it was amazing. The birds fly to you while out in a field, meanwhile Sadie tells and teaches you all of the interesting things you never knew about that particular bird. I can't recommend it enough!

Amazing and unforgettable handling experience, up close and personal with several beautiful owls. Olivia is so informative and clearly loves and cares for the birds. We were treated so kindly and time wasn't an issue. They were all very healthy and free flying. Very highly recommended for all ages.

Such an amazing day out for any bird or nature lover. I was a spectator whilst my partner was a voucher holder. Sadie was so engaging and knowledgeable. We have learnt so much from today. Honestly I’d go again tomorrow. Thank you so much

My son did the Junior Falconry experience with Sadie today and he had a fantastic time. The 3 hours were relaxed and fun, as well as informative and interesting. Sadie was great at engaging with the kids and delivered the session at just the right level to keep them fully engaged. He learnt all about what goes on behind the scenes and got to clean out an aviary, weighed an owl, learnt about the equipment and knots used and prepared their food. Being part of a small group meant that when it came to flying the birds everyone got plenty of handling and feeding time, and lots of photo opportunities. Sadie is obviously devoted and passionate about the birds at the centre and this certainly shone through. My son now wants to do the Photography experience so we'll definitely be back! Thank you Sadie for an amazing day.

Lovely place to visit owls and falcons in their enclosures, including large owls and smaller birds each with their own personalities. Loved seeing Bailey the barn owl, a personal favourite who was a great host and even came forward to speak to us.

Great 121 session, really personable, answered all questions, amazing birds and shared some interesting insights. Well worth doing as an experience, learning about some fabulous animals and host fantastic!

I have visited Feathers & Fur several times this year and yesterday, we did the Family Fun day, where we got to experience some of the birds up close. It has been amazing every time! Their birds are in very good health. Well situated in their roomy aviaries and obviously well looked after. I highly recommend visiting if you have any interest in these beautiful birds. A word of advice though: If you are thinking of getting one of these types of birds as a pet, it is nothing like what it looks like in Harry Potter for example. Do your research and realize this is not a dog or cat and these birds bring a risk with them due to their very sharp beaks and even sharper claws.

My bird crazy wife was in heaven. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it too. Sadie is passionate and knowledgeable and gave us a wonderful experience. Being so close to these wonderful birds and seeing them fly was amazing. Highly recommend doing the full hands on experience. Feeling them land on your hand and seeing them close up was so good.

Did the half day experience recently and had an awesome time. The birds were magnificent and it was a truly memorable day. Sadie was hilarious and the group is small so everyone gets a lot of time with the birds, would highly recommend.

Had a wonderful time, as this was my birthday gift. It's hard to discribe the feeling when one of these majestic creatures land on your left hand. Maybe I could do it with a poem... These stunning birds are well taken care of. We were also lucky that weather was great. Sadie, the owner, is fun and intelligent lady and I want to thank her for the experience.

A really excellent operation, with beautiful birds, a highly knowledgeable and friendly staff, and a lovely layout. My father and I passed a wonderful morning flying various different birds with Sadie, who constantly peppered us with anecdotes and valuable information, and who made her enthusiasm and love for her feathered charges abundantly clear. Would recommend to anyone who has a few hours to spare and who enjoys up close experiences with awesome avians.

Amazing place for the kids to learn about birds of prey. We had our daughter's birthday party there and all the children loved it. Sadie is amazing with children and you can tell how much she loves and cares for all the animals there.

What an amazing 10th birthday treat. This was a party of 3 adults and 7 children, the youngest being 6… the eldest 60. We had an amazing experience. Thank you Olivia for spending over an hour teaching us about your beautiful birds, your love and passion for them literally filled the room. SO much information and really interesting facts. Our experience was having a beautiful barn owl first flying to each of us after we had been given a handlers glove and explanation of what to expect and how to behave in the interests of the birds. After the barn owl came the kestrel and then the Harris hawk. An outstanding experience which we will 100% be doing again. As an extra special treat for our birthday girl she got to hold a snowy owl (that looked just like Hedwig.) you could feel her vibrating with the excitement of that opportunity. So a very special thank you to Olivia for recognising a fellow bird lover in that little girl.

love this place ! birds were all well looked after and kept . we came in late so they were feeding the animals at the time ! nice to see 💗 also the workers were very nice .

What an absolutely great experience. Our 6-year-old absolutely loved meeting the owls (Especially Ash and Gimli) and we're already planning to come back! Massive thank you to Olivia who was super kind and patient - it's not easy to hold a young child's attention but she was brilliant at it!

We did a 2 hour session flying various birds. Sadie was very very helpful with modifying the session to fit in with our plans for the day and being safe given the coronavirus concerns. We had a really great time. Sadie was knowledgeable and the birds were friendly and very interesting. We got some really great photos and would highly recommend it.

After not being out much in the last several months due to the virus we had the most wonderful and welcoming visit at Feathers and Fur Falconry. The staff were happy to let us watch feeding time, talked to us happily about each bird, then we spent along time stroking the gorgeous dogs. My kids said it was their favourite place ever and we can't wait to visit again!!

Despite the weather, my 14 year old had a great time meeting the birds during her 2 hour falconry experience. Her favourite was the Barn Owl. Sadie was fantastic with the teenagers, really engaging and knowlegable. If you want to do something different with your kids, I'd thoroughly recommend this place.

Such a lovely place to visit. Not huge so doesn't take long to go round but some lovely birds. I took my mum who is in a wheelchair and the paths are ok. Gravel is a bit hard going but really no issue. My mum was delighted to see the owls especially and Sadie was on hand to tell her a bit about them. She was even happier when she was offered the chance to hold one. Thank you Sadie; you have really made my mum's day x

Went here for a birthday present, a very good day out. Flying the bird's and a very informative instructor who made the whole day fun would recommend for all ages. Kids would love it.

I bought my daughter a falconry experience. This became the start of a new hobby and love of photography of these beautiful birds. She was looked after by patient and knowledgeable staff. They were happy to oblige with some of her photographic ideas. She has gone back a few more times as she felt so relaxed and comfortable at the centre.

Having had to reschule ... well worth the wait.. slightly chilly at 7degrees but the session was hands on from go and listerning to all the information and handling some beautiful birds of pray can say this is a must do. Thanks to Sadie for taking us through the session and sharing your passion with us.

Nice place...not really wheelchair accessible, but it's ok.... Cages for the birds are small but they are only in the small cages for short time so that's ok....least they're happy n well looked after, being made to feel as part of the family!

Was ok, but not much to see. Might be disabled friendly, but not really fit for wheelchair. Cages for the owls were very small imo. Actually, thnx for that informative reply, it had reassured me regarding the birds. So I have upped my stars from 2* to 4*. Thank you, I will definitely be visiting again feeling a lot more happier

We have visited the centre on a few occasions now, some merely drop-ins other occasions for pre-booked session, always made to feel very welcome, the information provided is vast Sadie's enthusiasm and drive is always very upbeat which only adds to making your visit more enjoyable, cannot wait until we return for our next visit.

Just come back from a fantastic morning. Sadie is so passionate, interesting and knowledgeable the experience was brilliant from start to finish. Only allowing small groups of up to 6 made it even more special. Highly recommend!
