Me and my brother did the Costa Rica adventure programme which lasted 4 weeks. We literally experienced so much! The pace never stops and you’re never missing home or finding yourself being bored, it’s so exciting. Each place has its perks, the finca had the quiet tranquil days and parties at night with a private pool. Samara saw a week of beaches, surfing and dolphin spotting. Monteverde was full of adventure with zip lining, bunjee jumping and waterfall hikes. Natuwa saw some of the most gorgeous animals. Overall an amazing experience! The leap then helped with our ongoing travels helping transfer us to the airport (and getting us there on time!) I would recommend this programme so highly 🤩

My daughter went to Costa Rica with the Leap for 6 weeks after A Levels. Having never travelled alone before she was very nervous. However, the team at Leap made sure all the volunteers going together were in touch with each other just before they left. She has had the most amazing experience and we have had several messages which have started - "this has been the best day of my life!" Knowing there is wrap around support from the Leap Team take all the stress out of your child's first travelling experience. Plus the weekly email updates keep you informed of what they are doing. She has made some good friends and can't wait to do some more travelling after uni. Would recommend 100%.

We booked my son on to the Costa Rica Adventure programme because he wanted to travel before carrying on with his studies. The team at The Leap Overseas were so reassuring and helpful that we knew we had made the right decision. It has been a completely life enhancing experience this past month with such a brilliant balance of volunteering, education, endless activities, lots of fun and relaxation in one of the most beautiful parts of the world. Our daughter had a trip of a lifetime in Africa with The Leap! She meet life long friends and had incredible experiences. Her only complaint was that the program was too short. Thank you to Alice and Milly for all their help and expertise along the way.

It was amazing! I did the Costa Rica scuba course in February and in just a month managed to have 30+ dives as a new diver and the reef conservation meant that we were constantly doing something new. The instructors made the trip worth it, they were friendly and so easy to get along with and I’ll miss them as much as I’ll miss the diving. It was the best decision of my life to learn diving with the leap, even if just for the conservation and the ability to give back.

In a COVID addled world, where travel rules and restrictions can change so fast, I cannot recommend The Leap team enough. They kept us informed while ensuring our son had the most wonderful time. As a parent, it was reassuring to know he was in safe hands while experiencing the best of Costa Rica while also giving something back to the community. Upon his return, he said he thought it would be good but in reality it was so much more than that. Life long friends made, both domestic and international. I would definitely recommend.

In October, we decided to send our gap-year daughter to Costa Rica with The Leap. The itinerary (helping turtles, working in nature reserves and national parks, plus time to explore) appealed to parents and daughter alike. We found the funds, but had not quite anticipated the extent of the various pandemic-related challenges facing travellers at this time. Not to worry. The management and staff at The Leap (in the UK and Costa Rica) provided outstanding guidance and advice at every stage, turning a formidable and intimidating process into something manageable, and - all things considered - as pain free as possible. Thank you so much, Milly, Zoe, Olivia and Val. Our daughter had such a good time (and valuable experience), she is now meeting up with friends she made on her trip and asking to return to South America (with The Leap) next year. Five stars.

I had a fantastic time in Kenya and the team at The Leap were so helpful organising everything, especially with all the admin. It was nice to know that they were always on hand to help if any problems rose up. Gained new confidence to travel and meet new people. Really felt like we made a difference with the community and I don't think I could have done that travelling solo.
