We spent a really nice time in the Lake District - in Herdwick Cottages. Rooms were super cozy and bathrooms big and comfortable. We were six of my family during 4 days. The living rooms very spacy and also the kitchen. All appliances really good.

I spent a week at the old cop shop in early June 2023 and luckily the weather was fabulous. The cottage is situated in a very quiet lane but just a very short walk to the main road and 10-15 minutes walk to Glenridding. I only used car once in 7 days as there are so many great walks from the door. The cottage was clean and well equipped with great views. The only down side is that there is only a very small yard as outside space, whereas other cottages in the lane have gardens. As we were out walking most of the day, this wasnt an issue but it was only big enough for the table and chairs. I cooked most days and found everything I needed except an oven glove…for health and safety I think this needs addressing by the owners. I also had cause to speak with Maria at Herdwick cottages on a couple of occasions and found her to be very helpful, friendly and courteous.

A beautiful home in Ambleside! All bathrooms are updated and nicely appointed. Lovely garden with rabbits and lots of birds. We will be back.

This is our second time staying at Laal Ewe in High Gregg Hal Farm and it was so lovely and peaceful. We brought the dog this time and he loved it!

We stayed in the pig pod for 2 nights and couldn’t recommend it more, it is perfect for couples and families. We went with our two year old, she loved the bed and loved being outdoors, looking at the animals. The fire pit was a lovely touch and we enjoyed spending our nights by the fire and watching the stars (the sky was so clear). The pod was clean and had everything we needed as well as added touches such as coffee, milk, butter and sugar. Hosts were on hand if we needed them and were easy to contact. We cannot wait to book and stay here again.

We stayed at the shepod in smardale and were welcomed along with our two dogs warmly. The shepod was clean and very comfortable and well presented. The view is amazing and it was so peaceful,we could even hear an owl hooting at night.Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and we would highly recommend this gem of a find.Cant wait to revisit in the future.

Great location. Views superb. The Mortal Man opposite. Excellent facilities at the cottage (range of kitchen equipment, furniture, bedding, washing machine, dishwasher, garden furniture, etc.) Local amenities adequate - but we had access to 2 cars so not a problem. Only issue was power cut on 6 Sep from 14:00 to 04:20 following morning. Heating overnight not needed. But for dinner, we had to order in food. We had a wonderful stay. Really convenient as the wedding we were attending was just a 10-minute drive away. Thanks again for providing this accommodation.
