Great find off the beaten track of the lake district hot spots further south. Clean and tidy campsite with all the facilities you need in a campsite, unless you are the type of camper that needs piped music in a toilet block along with swimming pools, hot tubs and the rest of the things I go to get away from. Well spaced plots nicely set out along side the river. The surrounding area has some good walks available and the side have very little traffic and are perfect for cycling. Couple of local stores nearby for the essential food purchases so no need to go for miles for that. In all a perfect location in which we will return to explore a little further.

Absolutely Lovley site. Will definitely go back. Nice owners and do all the work themselves. Well done. Just been again. Not disappointed. Keep up the good work.

Site is too dated for 2023..we asked for hard standing by river..but you have to drive or walk over mud and grass to get to it..so everything is constantly getting filthy..we knew about what people classed as quirky facilities,personally they are in need of desperate updating,shower wasn't that clean,toilet full of cobwebs..no where to let your dog have a run off lead on site or even within walking distance. They say dog area by river..its not. Owners pleasant but we paid for 4 nights..have left after 2. After 5 years of caravanning having stayed at a fair few sites this one is definitely a no go sorry.

Nestled in a remote area off Penrith is this little gem. Beautifully kept and privacy around the pitches. Small but accommodating toilet and shower in the 2 parts to the touring park. (OH is a big bloke and he managed) The site also offers free range eggs/honesty box and does have wifi and a small price. Literally on the river bank so perfect for the dogs to splash about. 1.5 mile walk to the small village or 12 miles to Penrith. If your after a quiet, peaceful Adults only site this is a ray of sunshine.

We’ve just returned from a ten night stay (extended by 3 nights it was so nice)at this gem of a site, with easy access from the M6 it is beautifully kept by John,Gill and Miley the cat. For peace and tranquility surrounded by wildlife it was second to none, their website is packed with info and worth a look, we hope to return again. thanks…

First time here. It's a beautiful setting. Very well kept and tidy site. Picnic tables dotted around for you to enjoy. It's so quiet and right beside the river. Lovely walk round the neighbouring fields with the dog. Loving it.

Just had a 10 night stay. Wonderful quiet peaceful place. Privacy pitches in the millrace area are superb. Owners are always on hand should you need help. Toilet and shower huts are a very nice touch and very equipped. Nice area with the running stream further down. Thank you for a quiet pleasant stay. Keep up the good work. Will definitely return soon.

Delightful little gem of a place... Quiet, private and cute toilet and shower facilities.... Your pitch enclosed by high hedges so nit encroaching on neighbours.. Added bonus Adult Only... Also fresh eggs available with honesty box.....
