I had my final check up today after having the two cataract procedures six weeks apart. The results were amazing, and I am really pleased with the outcome. I can see colours so much better and reading is far clearer. Having lens replacement surgery was best decision I have made. It has transformed my vision and no longer need contact lenses nor glasses and have almost perfect vision. I had cataracts which were causing poor vision and my optical prescription to change rapidly, so I contacted Dan Nguyen for help. After an initial (free, no obligation) Zoom consultation, I went to meet him at the Spire Yale. At all times Mr. Nguyen was pleasant, friendly and professional – I was very at ease with him. My eyes were thoroughly examined, and then we discussed treatment options for lens replacement. Mr. Nguyen explained the pros and cons of the various lens types available, and we agreed on what we both felt was the best option for me to be as glasses independent as possible. Finally, he explained the surgical procedure, the risks involved, and gave me an honest indication of the results we’d be most likely to achieve. The treatment costs were very competitive and well worth the money. I was very nervous before the first procedure, but needn’t have worried - both operations were quick, with no pain and negligible discomfort. The staff at the Yale were lovely. Recovery was quick, and the results have been amazing – I have better than 20/20 vision for a good range, so I am mostly glasses independent. If anything the outcome was better than predicted! I will probably get some readers to help with fine print close up, but my vision is fine unaided in almost all circumstances. Dan Nguyen is a magician!!

Due to my high prescription, I found that my glasses and/or contact lenses just were seemingly just not ideal for me any more. Also, with having the first signs of cataracts developing too, I decided to take my optician's recommendation to have a chat with Mr Nguyen. Mr Nguyen is a very likeable man who chatted with me about my ideas of what I hoped for after lens replacement surgery. Of course, I had apprehensions about this decision, but Mr Nguyen listened to me and we discussed what would be the likely outcome of the surgery. He certainly put my mind at ease. I opted for lenses which would give me the best distance vision, and was happy to accept that I'd still need reading glasses for close up work. This was my personal choice. The procedure was as explained, and Mr Nguyen talked me through the operation as it was happening which I found reassuring and helpful. There was no pain or even discomfort during the procedure for me and any worries I had about the operation were certainly not warranted. I had both of my eyes done on the same day, and had to wear clear eye-shields until the next morning, and then only at bedtime for a week. Eyedrops were given to me to use (along with a concise sheet of paper indicating the times of day to use them). I have worn contact lenses for 50 years and to finally see as well as with them, but without them, was really fantastic. Mr Nguyen is a man who I can recommend so very highly and I'm so happy, not only in choosing Mr Nguyen for the procedure, but also with the results too! Everything was first class from start to finish and if you're thinking of having eye surgery, then my experience with him is the reason I can recommend that you talk to him too!

I had clear lens extraction operation 2 weeks ago at the Spire Hospital Wrexham. Dan Nguyen was the surgeon and from the very first consultation with him I felt totally at ease. The operation lasted 20mins approx and I never felt a thing.I had this operation done to improve my reading sight and I have to say that I am overjoyed with the Result. Reading Glasses free for the first time in over ten years. So Happy now , its like a new lease of life. I can't thank Dan Nguyen and his staff enough.

Consultation available quickly. Laser treatment provided at the same time for one eye and need for cataract operation identified for the other eye. Cataract operation was quickly arranged. Procedure on the day was quick, totally painless and I was well looked after and supported throughout. Following the operation I had no pain, no grittiness in my eye and my sight improved dramatically and very quickly. Follow up consultation was good with both eyes checked and tested and advice provided on activity, optician's appointment and future expectations. Dan was totally professional throughout with lots of advice and thorough explanations. I totally recommend him to anyone considering cataract or laser surgery.
