Miserable weather, was forgotten when entering the distillery. Warm, welcoming, friendly greeting from Fiona. Due to cancellations we were the only two taking the tour. David one of the owners was friendly talkative and very knowledgeable, on what is partly a hobby and a business. They are passionate about what they do and this shows in the quality of the processes and end product. David demonstrated the art of pouring the perfect gin. You will need to go as I am not divulging any secrets!! As part of the cost you have a bottle of gin each to which you add a label,write a message and then get to hot wax the seal. See pic of gold seal attached. We bought some more product along with a lemon drizzle gin. As we were going out for dinner that night we copied the pouring lesson and enjoyed a lovely G &T. Did a distillery tour and tasting. Really interesting and informative. Would have liked to see the bottling process which would have completed the experience from still to bottle. But a lovely afternoon with very friendly staff. Plus the gin was excellent.

What a fantastic day .this is such a great friendly experience with people who are so passionate about the gin .It tastes fantastic and the cocktails are great also .very well worth a trip to visit and will certainly be spreading the word of this great gin experience thank you

A fun afternoon with an interesting and informative tour through the distillery. The masterclass was relaxed and we enjoyed our perfect G&T after being shown how to do the perfect pour. A nice cafe and gift shop area to enjoy a drink in. Staff were very friendly and up for a laugh. A great date day activity. Thanks!

A warm welcome and a enthusiastically led informative tour. The tasting masterclass was very interesting (and of course tasty!). Perhaps if the team could find a way to include two or three tiny samples to compare and contrast different gins would be helpful in the masterclass too, but a suggestion rather than a complaint!

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff at the distillery. However, felt the gin tour was quite short, and it would also have been nice to have been able to sample a couple more of their gins. Maybe this is something that could be considered for future tours. Enjoyed the G&T lesson at the end. Lovely shop onsite where I took advantage of the £5 off and purchased a bottle of Rosies Gin, having already had this before. I may have purchased more gins if other samples had been offered.

We had such an enjoyable afternoon here with Craig who is an absolute gin and whiskey expert. His knowledge and expertise is second to none. We had a really interesting and informative tour through the distillery followed by a gin tasting, where we got to experience the true taste and aroma’s of the gin itself. A beautiful setup in a beautiful area. A really enjoyable time and you get your very own Shortcross glass. I’m looking forward to going back for a Tipsy Tea.

Fantastic day out! I chose the Shortcross Gin Discovery Experience which was a tour of the distillery and Masterclass for a group of friends and this did not disappoint! David and Fiona have a beautiful estate, are passionate about what they do and it shows! Do your self a favour and visit the first Gin Distillery Northern Ireland, try the wax dipping, personalise your own keepsake bottle and of course sample the drink menu offerings!
