Went out with Andy today. He was so knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area. He has some spots where he is fairly guaranteed to find Otters and Eagles but it’s not that simple!! He is expert at scanning the landscape and finding them, he has a telescope which we were all able to use to get a fabulous close up of the animals and birds. I can highly recommend this if you are visiting Skye.

A must if you are interested in Wildlife and this unique Island. Andy was the perfect guide offering an insiders knowledge of the Island and all the best spots to see the wide range of local wildlife. Regardless of the ever changing weather fronts he adapted the days tour to make sure that we all enjoyed the experience. At the end of the days trip we’d seen Eagles, Otters, Kestrels, Buzzards, Deer and numerous other species.

Meets in Portree long stay car park. Andy is very knowledgeable and can usually find Otters, White tailed Eagles and Golden Eagles along with red deer. I asked for a view of an otter defending a fish from a Sea Eagle and Andy found one 😂

We had a great day out with Andy just after new year. We saw 6 otters, golden eagles, a sea eagle, and red tailed deer. And learned a lot about Skye. It was a great day. And we saw another golden eagle the next day near the fairy pools car park, now knowing what we were seeing!

Yes! Go with Andy on a tour!! If the midges don't get to you, it was one of the best days of our three-week Scotland holiday! We got the see the entirety of the island, with all the great spots. Andy is a very talented guide and wildlife spotter, with a lot of passion. And overall he is just a nice guy to be with and explore the island with. We got to see a lot of wildlife, which obviously helped. With some great facts and even a book with the birds in Dutch. We saw sea eagles, golden eagles, seals, a lot of otters, deer and many other animals. Keep in mind that using the binoculars is quite intensive. You almost forget the beauty of the island, so look around you once in a while. Can definitely recommend!

While Andy, the tour guide, worked diligently to find eagles and otters, the reality is that if there is a sighting, it will be at a distance. While there is an abundance of small birds on the Isle, the same can't be said about the larger animals. The tour could be vastly improved by only offering the wildlife tours at peak viewing times, offering tours to amateur photographers at other times, and providing simple amenities like a groundcloth to sit on during our (byo) lunch and some cold/hot beverages.

Andy is a superb guide, knows exactly where to see any and every type of wildlife in Skye along with a wide ranging knowledge of the isle. Easy to book and the perfect way to spend a day. We saw golden and sea eagles both in flight and at rest, seals and many sea birds, and Andy's knowledge of otters is second to none. Excellent.

A fantastic tour! Andy knows the area and the animals very well - and it shows! Even on a rather wet & windy day we managed to see otters, golden eagles (and many other birds!), seals and deer. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone interested in Skye's wildlife :) Thank you Andy!
