From somebody who loves bridges this superb piece of engineering has it all, beautiful stone arches and supports cantilevered suspension steel chain all riveted by men using hand tools shows a perfect example The views up and down are wonderful, out over the straights is just as spectacular we were lucky to have a clear day just as the sun was setting, nice walk over in each direction. There is a nice pub on each side both serve good food and drink so a couple of hours soon pass

A majestic construction and one of the best bridges I have ever seen in the UK. The surrounding area is beautiful as well and worth a walk while enjoying the view of the bridge.

An impressive and beautiful bridge. We drove on it few times during our trip and the view is stunning. But I suggest to have a walk by the water to admire it from outside. It’s a really nice spot for some pictures.

There is a good chance you will cross Menai Bridge by car if you’re going to Anglesey. But I really recommend to stop at a nearby car park and make a small walk around. It’s a stunning bridge with the nature around.

The Menai Suspension Bridge is simply stunning. It spans the Menai straits from the main land over to Anglesey. Its not without its problems though, currently it is under going some re strengthening work due to a lack of maintenance over the years, so extra supports have been put in place. It's going to be one lane only with traffic control inplace untill 2025, then hopefully she will be back to her full glory. If your planning a holiday to Anglesey or the near by area don't let this put you off, she still looks magnificent and is well worth a visit. You can see the bridge from a different view when you go on one of the local walks that takes you underneath the structure, this gives you a sense of her size from a different angle and an appreciation as to how she was constructed all those year back by Thomas Telford. Photo credits to Anglesey Boy.

The Menai suspension bridge brings you between North Wales and the peninsula of Anglesey. You can walk around this historic site on healthy trail. Just park your car at the nearby Waitrose. The trail even leads you to the new bridge within eyesight.

The Menai Suspension Bridge in Bangor is a remarkable engineering feat and a must-visit attraction. Designed by Thomas Telford and opened in 1826, this bridge is a stunning blend of stone towers and iron chains. Its elegant design and attention to detail will leave you mesmerized. It is a Good Place to spend your evening with your family, especially on the long Summer days .
