It was a great experience fr my 13, 11 and 5yr old. The instructor Alice and Barry were very kind and patient with my kids in helping them again and again when they got stuck. It was a very safe and secure trail which they throughly enjoyed and did again and again. We were the last team on the site my older kids more challenging rounds by Alice which they felt very happy about. It was a bit pricy at first but then every penny was worth as they gave us many rounds, we only left when the kids got tired, though it was an hour’s experience my kids spent more time on it as we were the last batch. Highly highly recommended…!!!

Ropeworks is fab! Did the high ropes course with my 11yo son - challenging but abley led by Jack the expert. Well worth the price as you get the added bonus of the leap of faith and giant swing!

Staff were friendly and knowledgeable and great with the kids. My two had the high ropes course to themselves and were set plenty of challenges to keep them busy. The big swing is definitely worth a go on! Kids club looked like great fun, and all the little ones there were having a fantastic time.

We went to Ropeworks Active today with an 8 yr and 5 yr old who both took part in the low ropes challenge. They had three complete goes through the hour around the course and it was a huge confidence boaster for them both. The course was challenging to both and the instructor was very encouraging and guidance was pitched perfectly. It was much more keenly priced that other similar (and much more widely advertised) places and my children are very keen to return for another go before we finish our holiday which I take as a five star review from them. The high ropes course looks amazing and we will be back to do it next time.

We went there during the Easter Break. Had the place mostly to ourselves. Our 7 and 5 year olds had a wonderful time. Their sessions are by the hour and you can do as many circuits as you can within that time. Ours managed to do two circuits before calling it a day. They have instructors with every child guiding them through the course. The instructors are blessed with infinite patience and a great sense of humour. Parents can join them on the course or watch from the ground. Filming is allowed of your own kids. Cafe serves hot drinks and ice-cream to keep everyone happy. The Slate museum next door (free entry) and this are enough to keep your kids happy for the whole day. We are definitely returning if we are in the neighbourhood again.

Very lovely people. Took my 4 yr old on the low ropes, helped by her older sister. She struggles a bit with climbing around parks, but she was helped every step of the way by the instructor, steadying the ropes for her and offering constant encouragement. We were all really proud when she come off having completed the whole course. Cannot thank Barry and Jan enough for their help. Price was £13 per hour which we thought was more than reasonable. Would definitely go back.

Our two girls, (7 and 9), really enjoyed the low ropes. The staff were fantastic, encouraging and helping them when needed and, ultimately, made it extra fun. They were extremely patient with our youngest in particular when she needed help and we were lucky enough to get one-to-one attention as it was quiet. As an added bonus, even the coffee was nice! Highly recommended.

Brilliant experience on the low ropes challenge for a five year old. Instructor was brilliant and really encouraging. Child went from nervous and panicky on some challenging sections to wanting to come back again after a brilliant three runs of the course in the hour. A great confidence booster and really good fun. Many thanks Ropeworks Active
