I was one of the first scouts to camp here when it became a scout camp in the early sixties and I did so several more times over the years, it is a fantastic woodland site and is very peaceful. I wish I could turn back the clocks and go there to camp and relive those good times spent there.

Best Scout campsite ever. Nice fields and woodlands. It's a perfect site for a camp.

Great for camps in tents. And accommodation in some original buildings and new one too good for wildlife as autumn watch used the site. The entrance can be missed in the dark or coming from other direction so come in from the southern end just before the 30 mph sign on left golf on right. Check web site for more details.

Lots of tiks, everyone in my camp group got them

Nice quiet site ideal for small camps. The new toilet block is very nice with hot and cold water. We stayed in Mortimer Lodge. The cooking facilities were very good with plenty pots, pans and cooking utensils. The bedrooms are "cosy" but not good if you are claustrophobic. Close enough to Silverdale Railway Station to walk even for Cubs!!

A wonderful woodland scout camp

Super scout campsite. Lots of great places to visit nearby. Easy access by train or road. Very friendly staff.
