Selling a house with a chain of people you know nothing about cam be troublesome especially if they chose a conveyancing solicitor that is inept and does not want to communicate with anyone to progress the sale. Our estate gaent was of little help and oftem relayed inaccurate information to us which added to the difficulty in getting timely information to relieve the stress and anxiety from the lack of meaningful progress that led to a Completion date ,which in our case took over 5 months, We were extremly lucky in tapping into the Estate Agent used by our vendor who took hold of the reigns and managed to get the solicitors at the bottom of the chain to start talking to each other and progress the purchase and sales to reach a conclusion. The leadership and project management by Edlin and Jarvis based in Newark was exemplary , chasing those inept at making progress at the lower end of the chain and keeping all parties informed of progress and educating those that had little or no knowledge of the what can be a long drawn out process when selling a property.
