This cafe is wonderful! The staff are super friendly and the food and drink is fabulous. The place has such a lovely atmosphere. I've been in for pleasure but also used as a work base too. Free (good) WiFi for 2 hours. Perfect.

Not much to look at from the outside, but inside, it looks like a big city coffee shop, only its situated on the outskirts of Mansfield in the sleepy suburbs of Pleasley. I popped in and had a latte and a Danish pastry, both very nice. They use 200 degrees coffee, and I'd make an assumption that they also used the same for training on the basis that although the coffee was nice, it wasn't quite hot enough for my liking, which having visited a number of 200 degrees stores, seems to be a common feature (you have to ask for it to be extra hot !) In the big city, or even out in somewhere like the peak district, this place would be packed, I just hope they manage to get enough trade to stay open as it really is a nice coffee shop.

Beautiful place !! Been several times now for the biscoff latte which is amazing. The best place for coffee! The staff are lovely too, very knowledgeable and passionate. Thank you, can't wait to come again!

Lovely place. Went over Christmas just as we were driving past and what an amazing, random find it was. Great selection of tasty cakes. Food was great, simplistic menu but good choices and made fantastically. Looking forward to going back.

I live about a mile from Roots,and drive and walk by regularly. But I never noticed it. Now, I call in quite regular for a cappuccino which is to die for. It is so creamy and tasty. It beats C@%&A and the like any day. I have never tried the food, but what I have seen looks very tasty. The staff are very polite and friendly. The premises is quite large, and there is a decent size room for private functions. The single use toilet is always very clean. There is parking to the front. All in all a great place for a meet up with friends for a catch up and a coffee and a snack. Opening times. Sunday closed. Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. Saturday 9am to 2pm Closed Bank Holidays. Except school holidays. 9am to 2pm.

We popped in on the 18/11/23 for some lunch and a hot drink. As usual it did not disappoint :) we had one margarita sub and a cheesy pulled pork ciabatta... highly recommend they were so so nice :) The staff were great as usual, especially the brown haired lady with glasses who had exceptional customer service in what seemed like a busy environment at the time :) Myself and my partner love this place and visit when we can as it is always divine :) Highly recommend popping in :)

What a find! The decor is really inviting and the atmosphere lovely. I had the filled jacket potato and it was very tasty. Service was with a smile and very attentive with our finished plates being cleared away quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed my coffee; the roast would be hard to beat in my opinion. The free parking is also a positive and it’s dog friendly! I’m looking forward to a return visit in the near future.

This is fast becoming one of our favourite dog friendly places and ideal venue if you've been walking pooch at nearby Pleasley Country Park. Love the comfortable seating, the warm welcome and atmosphere, the food and drink and the parking facilities. It's not often that you get parking right outside venues like this!
