We’ve just returned from having stayed at Chestnuts Country House for five nights - it was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed at with lovely gardens and surroundings. Our room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable - breakfast was amazing it was very difficult to choose from the extensive menu!! Very generous portions and absolutely delicious!! Each day we would return from our travels to wonderful home baking left in our room which was a really lovely touch and most enjoyable. Our hosts David and Kelly couldn’t have been more kind, generous and helpful and we look forward to returning there again sometime in the future.

Wow! What a find! We had a perfect weekend stay filled with luxury, comfort and beautiful surroundings. David and Kelly were the perfect hosts and the breakfast was out of this world. The suite was spotless, spacious and had everything and abit more of what you needed for the stay. We will be back and would highly recommend to those visiting the area!

What a wonderful stay, beautiful location and lovely rooms. Comfy beds and sofas to relax on. We really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was excellent, nothing was to much hassle! Just spent an amazing couple of days here, enjoying 5 star plus accommodation. Kelly and David have to be the best B&B hosts – and we’ve experienced quite a few over our decades! The breakfast menu offers a wide variety of innovative options featuring some Victorian treats with delicious locally sourced and home-made delights. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived and would highly recommend a visit. Andy and Ally.

Stayed overnight in the Tack Room with our well behaved golden retriever. The room was amazing - everything we could wish for including delicious home made cake and flapjack! So quiet and peaceful just sitting on the lawn under the apple trees having a glass or two watching the sun go down. Beautiful walk around the grounds before the most amazing breakfast. Kelly ‘s cooking is worth the visit alone - all local produce or home made and David is the ultimate host. Can’t wait to return for longer next time

A wonderful and memorable stay - thank you. From the moment we arrived, Kelly and David were warm and friendly and the room was immaculate and super cosy and Kelly's cake and flapjack went down a treat. This bed and breakfast is another level and the breakfast was divine. I've never had such delicious food to start my day and my son gave the pineapple and pink peppercorn jam and his pancake stack a big thumbs up. We will definitely be back to enjoy the grounds, sunrises and sunsets in another season.

The Chestnuts definitely deserves all the five star reviews. The bedroom was immaculate and very well equipped, they've thought of everything. The breakfast was superb, so much choice. We stayed for a couple of nights whilst going to cricket at Trent Bridge, and hope to return to the Chestnuts next summer when we can sit outside of an evening and hopefully play croquet. Wonderful accommodation in a lovely setting.

What a delightful stay - a beautiful and peaceful part of the world. This place definitely is 5 star. From our welcoming arrival from Kelly to the luxuriously appointed rooms, homemade cakes and the amazing breakfast with homemade yogurt, compote, jams, sauces, breads and a very tasty full English, everything about our stay was perfect. Even Joe (one of Kelly’s sons) was the most attentive waiter on his inaugural shift! Can’t wait to stay again when we are visiting our son in Ruddington!
