Dropped in here on the way back from the Lands End area - good situation on the A30 just past Penzance. Good to see a UK local drink business flourishing and was worth a second visit. There is a wine tasting experience - tried the Sauvignon Blanc, the Bacchus and the Rose Pinot Noir. Ended up buying the Bacchus - very good and comparable to the one Denbies produce. Could have bought any of them though as the quality is good. They also produce ciders (nice elderflower one), apple juice and lemonade. Shop is well stocked and staff are pleasant, welcoming and knowledgeable.

Lovely place and amazing wine.. we spent almost 2 hours exploring different apple and grape plants. There was fortunately someone who explained about the plantation process and harvesting too. As in, when and how to do it. It was really insightful and informative. I’d definitely visit this place again. P.S. wine has never been something I’ve been fond of. However, I really enjoyed the taste of wine over here. I enjoyed the white more than the red tbh.

Best pizzas in Cornwall! Had a great experience eating and tasting their amazing wines. Peak season can be draining for staff, but our servers were in top form. Amazing service and great fun I’m local and I’ll be back :)

If you only visit one Vineyard, make it this one. Really nice tour of the vines followed by a good tasting session. Emma who took the tour was on hand to offer tasting advice and as one the owners clearly takes pride in what they do and why it's different. Lunch was excellent (Welsh Rarebit) and not expensive. The service from the team really good and there has clearly been thought out into the setting, as it was a nice place to be. One opportunity to improve Polgoon, disappointed to be charged £3 more for the bottle of (Excellent) Sauvignon Blanc that we had with lunch, over the shop price. Nearly lost a star for this however as the overall experience was so good you've had a reprieve.

Spent three nights in a beautiful cottage in the vineyard with an amazing hot tub. The stay included wine tasting at the vineyard.. The owners couldn’t have been more hospitable and accommodating. The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed. It is located within easy distance of all the must see sites in this part of Cornwall..

Beautiful family run orchard making both wine and cider. We did a self-guided tour of the orchard which has a beautiful view of the sea at the top! We had two flights afterwards so tried most of their award winning wine which was all delicious (we bought 3 bottles in the gift shop). The food was also great, with really good GF bases for pizza. Highly recommend. We caught the Tinner bus from Penzance and it was about a 5 minute walk from the bus stop to the orchard.

Reviewing Polgoon as a restaurant; this is a nice relaxing place to eat but this is not a conventional restaurant. The menu us not massive and don't expect big fry ups, but what you get is a good variety of meats and cheeses, with olives, pickles, and bread. They do pizza as well, but not on the day we visited. The coffee is good and the shops worth a visit, you have to walk through this to get to the restaurant anyway. Worth the visit, we will be back.

A lovely place to visit. We went on an escorted tour of the vineyard. The young man who took us around was a font of knowledge. He made, what could have been a boring tour, very interesting. He explained the wine making process with great knowledge, without being boring. We were allowed to sample some of the wines at the end of the tour. Thank you.

We visited Polgoon for lunch and a tour - what a brilliant afternoon! Pizzas were exceptional... extremely tasty and well sized. The cafe has an excellent selection of local beers and ales, in addition to the wines made on site. Ed (who served our drinks and was also the tour guide) was brilliant... knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly in equal measure, and a huge asset to Polgoon. We learnt a lot about wine production in the UK and the history of this particular vineyard. We would definitely come back and will recommend to friends.

This is a fantastic example of a family run, organic, British vineyard and orchard producing some great wines, ciders and more. Went on the guided tour & tasting today and it was great! Well recommended and you can buy thier produce online too. 👍

Very informative and interesting wine tour. Suitable for all ages (we were a group age 18-83) and all really enjoyed it. Lovely food options to have with the wine and the tasting samples were generous.

Had a lovely sunny afternoon doing the tour and tasting here. Emma was very knowledgeable, friendly and answered all our questions. The tasting had a great variation of wines and we brought a few bottles to take home. Highly recommend, for £15 you can't go wrong.

Our wine tour and tasting at Polgoon was probably one of the highlights on our two week trip to Cornwall. Ted our border terrier was also allowed as they are dog friendly. The tour guide Ryan began by taking us on a tour showing all the local vines and explaining the process behind making the wine. Ryan is very passionate about his work and really knows a great depth of knowledge. After this , we returned to the main seating area to sample some of the produced wines which were amazing. We were informed how to taste the wine and given notes to look for. The portions of wine given was very generous! We then bought a pizza to share which was very tasty. Overall , I would 100% recommend you visit Polgoon. The whole experience is exceptional value and should not be missed. Tip: buy some of the wine from the shop as you exit, it’s a long trip back / delivery charge if you run out!

Lovely day, lovely people, lovely place, and a welcome break from our kids! We enjoyed the guided tour and tasting followed by Scallops and Welsh Rarebit for lunch. Delightful. Have come away with a case of wine to top it off!

We had an amazing time at Polgoon. We booked onto the vineyard tour. It was informative but informal. The tour guide was lovely and was happy to answer everyone's questions. At the end we were able to taste five different wines (white, rose and red). After the tour we also bought a couple of their ciders which were delicious (the elderflower was our favourite)! The price was incredibly reasonable (£10 each for the tour, including tasting the different wines) and I would highly recommend it if you're near Penzance. It is also really easy to walk to from Penzance!
