Plan a day without rain... and when you have energy! A wonderful place to see. The views are breathtaking and the sense of theatrical history is wonderful. Nice tea shop to take a rest after the climb back up. Be warned... the drive there is alarming at times - narrow and full of twists. Also, it's all on a cliff edge so it's very much a case of loads of steps. Worth it, though.

Very beautiful. We made the sensible decision not to use our rental on this day but take the buses available as the drive would have been crazy. With that stress taken away, it was an amazing place. You could spend an hour exploring. The views are amazing. The staff were nice in the visitor area and nice exhibition about the history of the theatre. Unfortunately we went around the time of heat wave. I guess it will be even better in the autumn and winter months and to see a concert in action will be fantastic.

NEVER EVER MISS this place when you visit Cornwall! This is a must see!! Magical and very unique!! The blue sea, the clouds and the sky, and the stones meet each other which is a perfect combination for the scenery! Plus the special participation of the succulents/plants/flowers! Everything is like a vitamin to the eyes! Never miss this place, or Cornwall will haunt you 😁

Loved the experience and scenery here! Was a great place to stop by and explore especially with the outstanding views that it had to offer. Only a small price to see and learn about the history of the landmark. It also has its own cafe and wall-through museum as well as daily performances for tourists. There is also a beach right down to the left of it which people could also go to after going through the area. Very cute and amazing views you can see and take pictures of!!

Stunning spot with an interesting history..well worth the visit..£8 for entry & parking..cafe & gallery as well. For those with mobility issues, its built into the side of the cliff with steep steps. Beautiful view of Porthcurno beach below. If you want to go to Porthcurno, you need to park down the hill in the coin only car park..£2.60 for two hours.

It's an amazing build and what a great idea. It has many steps to go up and down the theatre, but worth it. The views are stunning in every direction. If we are down there again, we will be booking a show as it must be something else to see while sitting on the side of the cliffs?

This place is just wonderful, the fact it was mainly built by a single lady and a few gardeners adds to the wonder. Everywhere is covered in personal touches carved into the concrete stone. There is so much to see. The parking is pretty decent, and you’ll need to be fairy mobile to see the full theatre. It can be quite precarious going certain ways, but take your time and look for different ways. The cafe has snacks and drinks, not much more. All the facilities are clean, and well looked after. 2 hours is enough to see the bulk of what’s on offer, kids will love the climbing, but there’s places to chill and see the views from nearly every vantage point. The views are amazing, to the beach on one side, to the boats coming into view from the other. The beach is great , but you will need to drive to a different car park to get to it. The gardens and plants are lovely to look at. It’s definitely a place to go if you get chance. We were lucky to see kids practicing a play. It restricted a few areas at times, but only for a short time. I’d check the timetables before planning a visit. Just in case something is on. You can pre-book (like we did) it saves time.

This is the most amazing place in Cornwall. I loved every detail of it. Beautiful gardens, in a breathtaking setting, surrounded by incredibly blue see and compelling sandy beaches. It's not easy to get to by car, but it's worth the challenge.

Great theatre, great view. I will say that years ago they never used to charge for entry but now they want £10 per person to go in there. Just shows that everybody wants money, but I suppose you get that anywhere, which is unfortunate. Worth a visit if you've got a bit of time and don't mind paying money for something you never used to have to pay money for. They have managed to find a way to charge you for air in the UK so I cant say I'm surprised.

This is a must see if you’re in the area or even if you’re not. Breathless views and stunning architecture, combined! I didn’t see a actual performance, however the was a gentleman given a a kind of performance telling his story and history of the theatre. Lots to see and can walk around exploring everything there. Lots of parking and staff was nice. Would advise going early before it gets busy.

The Minack is well worth the journey. The scenery is stunning, especially as a background to early evening performances. The acoustics are amazing, even for someone like me wearing hearing aids. Remember to take cushions and a blanket, the temperature drops a lot even on a warm night. Food supplied before and during the interval looked good and fresh although you are allowed to take in a picnic including alcohol. Access can be quite challenging for us in later years, so we chose to sit in the upper area, you still get a great view.

Stunning place, it was on my top list to visit while being in Cornwall! However, booking is essential, we came here not being aware off it, but parking staff explained us they're preparing for an evening show and offered us booking online so we did that and came next morning. Be aware that lanes are very narrow to drive, place is not suitable for people with mobility issues too. Staff member downstairs was very friendly and told interesting stories about the place. Really magical atmosphere!

One of the best tourist spots in Cornwall. Parking lot is available and easy to found. All staff were so nice polite and friendly. There were comedy show when i was visiting. No life, steps only. Dog friendly. Don’t miss their museum. Nice to hang around 1-2 hours. Buy and book ticket in advance. Highly recommended!!

Disappointing that google doesn't have opening or closing times. Unfortunately the Minack Theatre was closed on the day we visited. Still plenty to see & do awesome views from the cliff side overlooking the ocean. Definitely recommend doing a small hike or 2, check out the ocean from the cliff sides, you will be amazed, while taking in some fresh air.

Fantastic venue, it really is sublime. It's terribly uncomfortable if you end up in a bad spot, or have some issues sitting on rock. We had cushions etc but still it was difficult for my back. There are many, many steep steps and trips are of course possible. They complete every show unless the weather is dangerously bad. That's impressive. However it can get rather chilly after the sun has gone. Take a blanket and anything else if the weather seems even a bit inclement. If it seems nice at home/camp it will be worse there. Bring a picnic, beer, wine, bubbles, whatever you wish, just take all the waste away. We saw 'The Breath' and its worth checking them out too. Every staff member is super helpful regarding being seated. There was a small coffee shop available with bare minimum supplies, so do take your own for now until the renovation ends on the bar - restaurant. Definitely worth a visit.

A place to definitely visit if your in Cornwall. If your planning to come check out the shows in advance. Bring cushions, make sure you have a hat. We saw the afternoon show my partner has previously been to the evening show. We saw Living Spit Comedy of Elizabeth virgin Queen. Great laughs, topical jokes and the guys could sing.

Amazing place to visit, definitely worth a trip if you’re in the area. The history of the theatre is retold by a brilliant actor at a couple of times throughout the day. On a sunny day, it’s actually really nice to just sit and soak up the sun and atmosphere, and watch the movement of the sea. The gardens are really pretty and full of tropical plants. There’s a cafe on sit, toilets, a small museum and film about the owner and the history of how the theatre came about. The car parking on site is very organised and staff direct you where to park. There is a (steep) walk down to the beach via stone steps cut into the cliff sides. We weren’t brave enough to try it, but the views looked very pretty. The route to the theatre is full of winding country roads and steep hills, but don’t let that put you off!

A really special place! Had no idea about the history or how beautiful it actually would be but wow it really is breathtaking and managed to go on a good day in October! A bit expensive for drinks in the hut but it is very isolated and a lot of steps to run stock up and down from! Would definitely recommend going if you can! The museum was really worthwhile too

We (Family of 4 - Girls are 11 and 13) had a great time here. We watched a show @ 10:30 about a lonely lighthouse keeper. Very entertaining, lots of audience involvement. The views are amazing - The photos do not do the views justice - You need to go and see them. We highly recommend.

We went to see a one-man show on a beautiful Monday afternoon and were absolutely blown away. Not only was the performance captivating, but the setting was truly spectacular. Situated with the ocean as its backdrop, this amphitheater offers a breathtaking scenery that enhances any performance. The natural beauty of the surroundings seamlessly blended with the artistry on stage, creating an unforgettable experience. If you have the opportunity to catch a show here, don't miss it.

I have visited the theatre before and the views of it alone are breathtaking! Tonight I watched my first play there and it's truly an amazing atmosphere. To see an open air play is great, to see it with such a backdrop and the sound of the sea in the background was incredible. If you are lucky enough to visit for a show, make sure you read the tips beforehand, be ready for any weather, bring extra layers and a cushion!

Went to a half term play. "The kiss that missed". My 8year old son enjoyed it as did I. The staff were excellent, and the theatre is something out of a fairytale. One of the best experiences you could have in Cornwall. Very well coordinated as well. Fantastic job!
