👍👍 Excellent little hideaway that most people miss. Fantastic for viewing seals and really peaceful if you manage to get there when no one else is there. Warning thought, driving down to the bottom involves a very small steep road until u get to the bottom where there is room for about two or three car...

Picturesque harbour on the road to Dunnet head. Steep road down but worth the detour. A good place to get photos of the seals that hang around there.

Often visit this beach. The drive down can be hairy as it's only wide enough for one car and there are no passing places and its steep. But it's a lovely beach and we love looking for interesting rocks. Good for fishing off the pier. I know it's as Brough beach.

The pier at the northern end of the Thurso harbour which faces in to the Pentland firth and the Orkneys, theres no islands directly offshore from here so most of the pics on here been taken somwhere else and wrongly placed here , always bring warm clothes as it can be chilly

Nothing much to see here other than the northern sea of mainland UK. Bring warm clothes as the wind is rather strong. A good walk from Thurso station. Very calm and quiet.

Great place to swim for open water swimmers.

It is the edge of the sea. Its the walk along the top of the sand. There is an excellent burger van 'The Griddle', at one end of the walk, at the harbour: where A&D Mackay furniture shop is & the fish shop

Great spot to walk to in the morning to look out and listen to the waves crashing on the rocks. With stunning views on the high sides as well. The Little Rock searing provides great shelter from the wind.
