We loved it! Although we were late to see the puffins (mid August), we enjoyed the trip (Isle of May Experience). The high speed trip on a rig, to and from the island, was very exciting. Our skipper was friendly and engaging. He made multiple stops to show us wildlife (including seals) and provided lots of commentary. As the weather was uncertain, we were offered waterproofs, that came very handy, specially on the way back, as we experienced some sea splash. 100% recommend!

It was such an incredible experience. My friend and I really enjoyed the boat trip and the beauty of the island. We saw a lot of seals around the island. The staff of the boat service was friendly, and the boat ride was safe. They tried to show the every corner of the island. I highly recommend the boat trip to anyone.

A week or so before our scheduled trip we decided to visit the Isle of May last minute, and I had unintentionally booked the Osprey and I am SO glad that I did! It was a splashy ride over, but that only made the experience that much more exciting and enjoyable. Our skipper Simon was excellent! He was able to tell us so much about the island and we learned a lot from him. Seeing the puffins is of course so magical, and we loved having nearly 2 hours to explore the island on our own. The Isle of May is truly breathtaking, and there is no better way to get there than on the Osprey with the Isle of May Boat Trips. We will absolutely be doing this tour again the next time we visit Scotland. Other notes: They provide weathers so you don't have to worry about getting wet. I am also very very prone to sea/motion sickness and did absolutely fine on the Osprey ride both ways.

Make sure to book cruise/ seaborne tour prior to your visit. This could get filled early. If you like a little bit of adventure choose seaborne not cruise. We went in September but the season is April-June that you could see most of migrant birds (specifically puffins). Seals are year-around. We saw at least a 100 seals and pups which makes the island magnificent. I highly recommend this Boat service to anyone. They are so friendly and showed us the every corner of the Island.

The trip was safe and fun. The island is kept beautifully preserved with many interesting trails to explore to see the various bird species that inhabit the island, including puffins between April to August. It might be best to wait until late April into May, onwards, for puffin viewing, as when I went at the beginning of April, they were just starting to return to the island, and there weren't many around just yet. Nonetheless, the trip was amazing and very enjoyable, well run and operated.

Such an incredible experience! We were so comfortable in our waterproof gear, the journey and destination were once in a lifetime! Rab was very nice and funny and engaged our younger kids in the whole experience. Puffins are just about the cutest bird I’ve ever seen and I can’t endorse experiencing them in this trip more!

Have wanted to do this trip for so long, and I'm finally glad to have done it. Our skipper Steven was very knowledgeable and informative. The wildlife was fantastic to see especially the seals and puffins

Terrific excursion and priced right. The 45 minute relaxing boat trip was followed by a 2 hour fabulous visit on May Island. Tip: Pack a wee bit of lunch(we took pizza) and stroll about a half mile down the Holyman's Road and sit on the bench and watch the Show! Puffins flying every which way, crashing waves, and privacy among the natural beauty. It was well worth our time and money!
