Having visited many climbing gyms this is one of my favourites. What I really loved about this is the way the chill out spaces are everywhere. The climbing was really fun with some creative route setting. You can tell there is thought put into the routes which is nice. The staff were super friendly and welcoming and the coffee is fantastic! There is a good range of climbs to try and it's really nice enjoying food and a coffee and watching people climb. I'd highly recommend checking this place out. The vibe is super chilled and friendly which makes it easy to stay for an evening as time flies by. Tried the Kilter board which I haven't seen in a gym before which you can change the angle on from 0 to 70 degrees. There is a lovely roof section also I want to try when I am back with a sloped floor so you don't fall very far.

Visited Flashpoint with my 4 year old today who loves to climb every rock and tree he sees. I knew he’d love Flashpoint but it exceeded my expectations. The kids area is perfect. His confidence climbed almost as quick as he did. Amazing value kids activity. He’s already asking to go back. We will be back.

Signed up for an intro session after receiving a gift card. The staff member who instructed us (sorry, I’m terrible with names) was great. Helped us understand what bouldering is all about and guided us on our first climbs. Didn’t take long before the bug really took hold and we’ve been back a couple times since. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and the facilities are clean and spacious with tonnes of colour coded routes. Being a newbie I’ve had no trouble finding a nice variety of different styles of climb in the lower grades. The higher grades look really fun too, hope to tackle them when my hands stop being jelly! Every regular we’ve interacted with has been really chill and helpful too, seems like a cool community there. Looking forward to my next visit.

Very beginner friendly. I can’t really talk about the pro experience since it was my first time doing this ever. The staff are very nice and helpful; they have plenty of different courses, activities and types of wall, organised by levels, so you have it easier choosing something adequate for you, and keeping track of your progress. I have never tried it before, but it feels a bit pricey if you don’t go for the membership. If you have a membership though, you can bring a friend to try it out for free their first time.

Fantastic and large climbing gym with brilliant, professional, knowledgeable and helpful staff. It caters for everyone from youngsters to the still young at heart, and all abilities and is fully inclisive too. Good coffe and good pizza to boot. Highly recommended whether a beginner or long time climber.

Always friendly staff, great facilities and the constant resets means it never gets stale! Went climbing for the first time here around 2 months ago and I've been hooked ever since. Friendly atmosphere with everyone here. Fantastic climbing center, and great food/ drinks - billionares shortbread is 10/10!

Flashpoint Cardiff facilities are very well maintained and the staff are really friendly and helpful. They also have a variety of membership options to suit everyone. I completed the Intro Session, the Beginners and the Tower Induction courses when I first joined, which was useful to learn the basics of how to climb on my own. The different walls are reset every few weeks, which allows you to go back to any tricky problem another day and to have enough variety of problems at the same time. The atmosphere is also welcoming and they have a little café. I had never tried bouldering before I joined this centre and I find it an enjoyable form of workout and mentally stimulating. Time flies when I'm at Flashpoint!

Really great place for bouldering! Lots of routes with plenty of difficulties to suit all abilities. Not much there if you’re a rope climber exclusively, they have an auto belay but it’s a relatively small section, so probably a place better suited to those who prefer bouldering. The staff are friendly, there’s a little cafe to get drinks and food etc.
