Our group visited Glenshane and it was nothing short of spectacular. We started off with a lovely lunch of soup and sandwiches. Then we met Jamese, who was an Incredible host, very charismatic and knowledgeable. We were introduced to the most lovely dogs and got to see them work. Later we also also met the sheep who were very cute and friendly. This is a great place to visit to learn a bit about sheperarding, and a way to support the local area. If you are anywhere nearby it an experience you will not want to miss.

We visited this truly remarkable sheep farm with amazingly well-trained dogs. The effortless coordination between the dogs and Jamese was perfect. It was fun, really educational as well as an outstanding experience that completed our trip from the states. The restaurant , gift shop and entire facility was beautifully done and was so warm and inviting. We were highly impressed with the intelligence of the dogs, knowing the different whistles and commands and their love for working with the sheep! This will be first on our list to visit next time we are in Ireland. You do not want to miss this place!

Our visit to Glenshane Farm was nothing short of spectacular. Jamese was so welcoming and engaging. We absolutely loved learning about his farm, his family history with the farm and about the process in which his dogs work with the sheep. Their facilities are beautiful and the view takes this experience over the top. This is a one of a kind experience you cannot miss! Thank you again, Jamese. We had a great time!!

I was lucky enough to visit the Glenshane Country Farm during my visit to Derry and it was the best experience I’ve had this whole trip. We had a wonderful lunch with the best potato and leek soup that was followed by a presentation on how the farm works and how the sheep dogs are trained and work. Most educational events can be a drag but this was so interesting and they made sure to keep the crowed engaged the whole time. After watching the dogs heard the sheep’s using the calls we learned about in the presentation, you get to go into the barn and learn about the different types of sheep and hold little baby lambs. This is a family run business and everyone was so lovely and welcoming. If you come to the Derry area and don’t visit the Glenshane Country Farm you are truly missing out!

Absolutely loved this experience! I came here as part of a Contiki group and we all had an amazing time. Jamese gave us a detailed background on all the dogs. We got to meet the adorable pups and see them work. We also got to hang out with the sheep for a while. Would definitely recommend Glenshane to anybody visiting Ireland!

What a great experience our group loved every minute of it. A real authentic experience with a well prepared soup , sandwiches and unlimited cups of tea. The way Jamese shows off his border collies skills blew me away. A must see

If I could give Glenshane 10 stars I would! Jamse is the absolute best host and amazing Shepherd. I couldn’t recommend this experience more - it is a must stop if you are in Ireland. You will experience the beautiful Irish countryside and farm, see the true craft and art of shepherding and meet the incredible dogs - not to mention getting to see, hold and pet the variety of sheep on the farm and so much more for a truly memorable day.
