While on a charity ride from Eryri (Snowdonia) to Cardiff, we had some breakdowns and Chris was kind enough to open his shop late on a Saturday AND refused to take any money to repair not one but 3 bikes! He genuinely saved our ride.

We only had a few days to get our bikes serviced and Chris kindly fitted them into his busy schedule. He did a great job and good value, they are working much more smoothly now.

Turned up unannounced on a cycle tour with my front mech causing issues, not shifting. Chris was welcoming and happily dropped what he was doing and began to fix my bike. Within 15mins it was done, new cable and realigned, I was on my way! Great service on an unexpected repair!

Great service from Chris. I brought in my rather neglected but still loved bike, and he revived it with a new chain, cables and valves as well as putting air in the tyres and answering my rather basic questions with grace. Fast turn around too. A great find.

Chris is the nicest and most helpful person in the world! A group of us on a charity ride from North to South Wales were overnighting in the area and one of the girls had broken a really obscure part. Despite ringing more than 4 hours after closing, Chris answered straight away and said to pop the bike down the very same evening. Not only did he have the correct part, he didn't even charge for it, saying it was the least he could do to help a charity ride. Top guy all round, so friendly and helpful, could recommend to anyone in need! Would give 6 stars if l could!

Excellent personal attention and knowledge with an honest appraisal given on what was required for maintenance/service on an ageing/vintage bike which had not been used for some time. After an initial inspection, approximate costs were given for the recommended parts required to bring the bike up to scratch. Plenty of choice on Chris's Bikes website to choose a newer secondhand or new manual or electric model. Only 10-15 mins away so very convenient. Would highly recommend.

I can’t recommend Chris’s cycles enough! Chris absolutely saved the day during a charity bike ride over the weekend. With very little notice he fixed a tricky snapped gear cable and my brakes - the bike ran beautifully the day after and we were able to complete the ride. But more than that- Chris was absolutely wonderful and extremely generous and helpful. He chatted to us on the phone for ages when we didn’t know what to do when the bike broke, then extremely kindly fixed the bike that evening. Such a brilliant service and a lovely person to meet! Would recommend Chris cycles to anyone.

Chris turned my bike around in less than 24-hours and did a fantastic job (I had been pulling my hair out over getting the rear derailleur indexed). He also did several other little tweaks which meant the bike now runs better than it has done in a long while. Chris is now my go-to bike man. Thank you.
