Stayed here for 5 nights with a few friends and had a brilliant time. The hostel is very comfortable, clean and the kitchen has all the equipment you could need. Lee was a great host with all his knowledge about the area. Would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic gem of a hostel. Lee has worked wonders to provide a relaxed and welcoming place. Not much in the area, but plenty to occupy evenings as books, games and DVD's provided

My experience of staying here was very memorable (I went with some friends). Lee is a wonderful host, the hostel location is perfect for a bit of walking in the Scottish highlands and Dalwhinnie distillery. The hostel was super clean, fully-fuctioning kitchen and loads of optional extras such as hiking pole rentals. We also shared a drink and many laughs with Lee who told us several stories from his travel experiences, wonderful wonderful times. I would highly recommend this place :)

We have stayed at a range of hostels for our summer walking holidays for over 20 years. The old school house hostel in Dalwhinnie, is outstanding for friendliness and efficiency. We will definitely be staying at this hostel when we are next in the area.

Wonderful place, 50m from railway station. Hosts are very kind, the kitchen is well equipped, rooms are clean, the idea to have a curtain in shared rooms is excellent. You can watch tv or read books about Scotland in the evening as shelves are well-stocked with them. A great place to rest after many adventures. There is WiFi, clean showers, and a hairdryer! On site there is also a shop with all the things you need for your adventure.

I had the loveliest two nights stay here! The hostel is clean and spacious, and the roaring fire is wonderful, I enjoyed curling up on the sofa after a day in the cold! The kitchen has everything you need and the shower was blissfully hot. Lee is lovely and welcoming, and makes sure you’re comfortable. Lee has done an amazing job at making it a home for travellers. Thank you for showing this English girl just what The Highlands has to offer - I’m very happy I came!
