Friendliest coffee shop in the Lakes. The owners are wonderful - talked me through the different bean options, without too much detail so i wasnt blinded with science. Coffee was delicious. The food was great, I had sticky fruit cake, my partner had carrot cake. The space is beautiful, really light and airy, with big high ceilings. Just a really wonderful place!

The only place in lake Windermere that felt genuine and not inauthentic by catering to just tourist crowds. Really nice atmosphere, unique modern decor, great selection of books and drinks and leaning toward what you'd expect in a place that respects life and nature: wholesome vegan options. We missed their events sadly and tried to go back twice, but was shut. So check in advance before you visit.

A hidden gem in Windermere, definitely worth a visit! A cosy, laid-back cafe with great coffee. Fully vegetarian with vegan and gluten-free options! The staff were so friendly, and we loved all the little extras scattered around the place.

What a great find! We’d just had a long wait at another Windermere cafe and ended up asking for a refund before leaving and quite literally stumbling on the rookery. Lovely staff, great coffee and treats and just a fab space - shame we were only visiting Windermere for a short time as they had some amazing events on too by the looks of it! 100% recommend. They even gave us a book from the book swap even though we didn’t have one to swap it for! Lovely place run by great people.

An absolutely lovely place! Friendly staff, Shane, John, Mailis, who are always willing to help. A choice of the house roast and guest roast, both of which are very tasty. Currently, a lovely house roast light, not bitter with a caramel-y note and great with cows or oat milk. Got to try the guest roast as well, a darker roast with an interesting jammy after taste. Both roasts don't leave a bitter after taste, and would recommend either if you get the chance!

Great coffee, great food, beautiful spacious and light venue, nice people - what more could you want !!
