Simply sensational. 8 of us went for 2 nights & 3 rounds of golf. Not one complaint from the entire group. Both courses are immaculate, greens are phenomenal. The bar & restaurant service was first class, food quality & presentation were exceptional. Up there as one of my best golf trips. Hope to return.

What is not to like about Close House? Exceptional from the staff to the courses. Nobody can do enough for you here, and always with a smile. The courses are lovely and the accommodation is phenomenal. Nothing is rushed and it is just a perfect location for golfers. The only thing missing is a (decent round) pool and steam room, that would be the cherry on the icing on top of a spectacular cake, but we rarely get everything we wish for! Second visit and we’re already planning for 2024. Thank you to Alex and all the staff for making our visit so special. We look forward to seeing you next year.

Well worth a visit. 2 very good golf courses the Colt being the most challenging. A very well organised set up. The accommodation is amongst the best I have stayed in . The club house , bar and restaurant were very good and our evening meal was excellent.

The Close House Golf Club restaurant which we visited on Easter Saturday is truly lovely. Wonderful value for money but most importantly superb service, genuinely lovely tasty and great portion sized food. Fantastic scenery overlooking the famous golf course. This is a great place and would heartily recommend it!

We stayed on the room, dinner and breakfast deal at £179 midweek. Check in was seamless and welcoming. The room "Wentworth" which was more of a suite was very impressive with vast space and a large bed along with a roll top bath. The room was generally clean with some age related marks on the carpet and walls, however what cannot be excused is the shower head which was covered in black mould. Food was excellent with tasty large portions enjoyed in the lovely clubhouse. The service was good except the blonde haired waitress who stood for over a minute on her phone behind the bar whilst we waited to be served. Overall value for money and would stay again.

Enjoyed the day there. Shame my golf wasn't acceptable. We played the Filly course and it was in great condition. It is an expensive place to eat and drink but the staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit.

We had booked for afternoon tea in No19 restaurant.Although the food was good the venue and service were not. Tea/Coffee arrived at least 15 minutes before the food, so we had to ask for fresh pot as it was not offered. Also ordered 1 glass of Prosecco and it was a shocking price £11.50!!! Not the ambience we had expected for a special treat. It’s all about the golf!

Absolutely lovely 2 days playing both courses. Staff from the club house, bar staff, serving staff, club pro shop were all fantastic. Will definitely be back to try and beat my scores and have more of the great food.

This is a golf & country club complex that high quality out of every corporate pore. The golf courses are home to many top class amateur, DP World Tour & Asian Tour events. So, as you would expect, the off course facilities reflect the same quality. The clubhouse, the dining, the rooms and the practice areas are equally delightful. Come to stay & play soon I say!

Ok no doubt the course is amazing and my mate and I loved it !!! Great course , great accomodation the lot , BUT ! I didn’t find the staff very welcoming, we came all the way from Australia and the feeling in the pro shop wasn’t welcoming , sorry this is just very honest feed back .. PS one of the bag / course guys was amazing .

Absolutely fabulous courtyard rooms, location is the best, food excellent combined with top class service along with 2 x golf courses which are in really great condition. As this venue caters for both, golfers and non golfers i thoroughly recommend this to all In my opinion Close House deserves a 6 star rating.

Enjoyed my 18 Holes today around the filly course. We have had loads of rain so it was a tough ‘knock’ in winter conditions. The greens and fairways are great the only area that needs serious attention are the bunkers should be GUR. Dan in the Pro shop was very helpful. Really enjoyed the BLT at No 19 (not cheap but very tasty) great day just work on those bunkers (ack all the rain)

Stayed for 2 rounds of golf, dinner, bed and breakfast. It was March and the course was in really good condition for the time of year. Staff all very helpful. The rooms in the courtyard are spectacular.

Anyone looking to go away playing golf should go to Close House. Courses brilliant, accommodation fantastic and food in the restaurant was great as well. All staff super friendly. Will definitely be returning.

First time at Close House and went with 5 other lads and we stayed in the lodge. Played the Colt and Filly, cant speak higher of the course conditions, they were imaculate. Service was impeciable in the bar and restaurant and food was amazing. Scotch egg is really good! Everyone made you feel welcome. Only criticism is that once you have finished your round of golf you have to put your clubs back in your car along with trolley and drive out of Close House to the road and back in the main entrance to get back to the lodge. I would suggest somewhere to hold our clubs and trolleys, so we could drink more in the bar. Apart from that we couldnt fault it, superp place and we will be back next year.

Group of 8 travelled from South Wales for a 4 night Stay and Play break with Dinner Bed and Breakfast….. played the Colt Course which was in absolutely fantastic condition, all staff in the Clubhouse were friendly and were great, shouts out to to names we remembered , Thomas was top lad and Jenni (enjoy your £30 bottles of water in Ibiza) - sorry for not naming the rest of you but you were all brilliant, thank you from all of us…..food was outstanding every evening and we will definately be returning in the future, and a bonus was to meet attached Pro Lee Westwood who was really nice guy and happy to take time out from putting practise and have photos with some of our group…..great job and final shout to the Golf Manager who allowed us to head out earlier on our final day, really appreciated…..now for the 7 hour drive home.😮‍💨

Absolutely amazing place... Unbelievable courses in great condition! The halfway house was a lovely touch too! The restaurant food was amazing and staff were friendly. The rooms have to be seen to be believed! Took us 3 years to finally get here but 100% worth it! Definitely recommend and will definitely be re-visiting!

Played on the lesser course which was still a good test and in good condition considering the time of year. Clubhouse was very good the staff efficient and friendly. Just a shame about the 'Westwood' factor!

Well where to start after.a 6 hour trip from Surrey we was greeted by Shaun who was front off house who couldn’t do enough for us on arrival. After playing on the Filly course which was enjoyable we went to our room which was Excellent & Comfortable and clean with plenty of space. The No19 restaurant service and food was first class and the breakfast was again brilliant drinks are a little pricey. Onto the colt course I can see why it’s within the top 100 with some quality golf holes and breathtaking views nothing was out off place but don’t let the yardage fool you off the whites & yellows it may seem short but bunkers are well placed to catch you out from the tee boxes and you can be faced with plenty of downward and upward shots the greens were very good as was the fairways for a November trip. Once our round was finished we was greeted by Shaun again who asked how we got on and spent a good 10mins chatting with us about Close House he booked us a taxi to the station which cost £25.00 and as we changed clothes he cleaned both sets off clubs and golf shoes. The colt course was top draw but all the staff at close house from the cleaners to the pro shop and restaurant are the real stars at Close House and the service we received will live long in the memory we look forward to our return in 2023 where I would expect the colt course to be a different animal with faster fairways and greens and longer rough in the summer. If I could advice on two improvements BT sport would’ve been a plus and kept us in the bar longer with it being a champions league night and perhaps a buggy run to the range as that hill is a mean walk and work out again great range and short game area so overall 10/10 thank you to all at close house.

I was given a birthday gift certificate to attend close house filly course, which I was excited about due to its prestigious reputation I arrived on the 1st of October and everything couldn’t have been better! It’s a beautiful facility with amazing staff. But after tee off, most of the greens were littered with pitch marks (average of 4-6 on each) which I spent most of my time repairing as the round went on. Apart from this annoyance which I wouldn’t expect from such a prestigious course, it was a challenging and rewarding day.

Loved both courses, stunning set up and scenery, the view off the 13th tee especially. Both courses are tough challenges of golf, but especially the Colt. (Be warned there are some pretty steep slogs that will drain any tired batteries). If you are staying over I am sure you'll be impressed with the accommodation.

😐 Just checked the website and quite surprised the restaurant closes at 9pm on a Saturday evening.
