Food was nice though unusual if you haven’t tried anything like this before. Very communal and social way of eating as a group.

Delicious food and excellent service. We had vegetarians and meat eaters in our party and everyone loved the food of which there was plenty. Every dish was flavoursome as was the coffee. Recommend and look forward to returning.

This was one of the loveliest, most chill lunch experiences I've had in a while. Relaxed, laid-back atmosphere, and the food was delicious. We had the veggie combo (which was so tasty) and yebeg derek tibs, accompanied by a few Ethiopian beers and a cracking coffee at the end. Genuinely great value, flavour and vibe for the price. Best Ethiopian restaurant in Leeds. Friendly service and draft beers available. The waiter often just ask you your food preferences and prepare you a whole variety of delicious food. Extremely good value and fun night out.

We came to here last night. I have never been before. You walk through the door and immediately taking in wonderful spices. The music isn’t too loud. The lighting is soft. Its a really nice environment to be in. The staff were really great, not pushy, just lovely people. We ordered two large platters, one meat and one vegan. The food was simply amazing. It was a feast and great value. A great place and excellent food. Thanks so much. Highly recommend.

Top Tier Authentic and Amazing Ethiopian Food. After years of ethiopian food in Africa, my family always hunts for ethiopian places in different countries where we stay, and we came here, had a friendly chat with the waiter, ordered our platter full, with his additional suggestions, and cleaned it out. Lovely place, felt perfect, and incredible food.

Came because a friend wanted the vegan platter. She loved it. Enjoyed the crispy fried fish. Impeccable service in a pleasant and relaxed dining environment.

The food is really the star at Piassa - you can expect good portions of absolutely delicious food. The restaurant is clean and the staff are very friendly. If you haven't eaten Ethiopian food before, it is not like anything else - expect piles of fragrant spiced meats and lentils on top of a type of bready pancake, and there are tasty dishes for vegatarians and vegans. Really recommend this place - I'll be back, in particular the sharing dish for 4 with a bit of everything is recommended. Note that the physical menu is more extensive than the one on their website.

The best Ethiopian restaurant in Leeds. We had vegan and non vegan meals to share ,honey wine and traditional Ethiopian coffee. Great food, good service and reasonable price. Looking forward to visit again.

First time eating any kind of African cuisine before and it is absolutely delicious. My order went wrong but it was rectified exceptionally and I would recommend to everybody and anybody, especially if you want to try something new!

Only serve their people better, I was set for long time waiting to be served, it was apparent I was ignored. I’m Eritrean and I thought all Habesha were the same but I was wrong. When the food arrived it was cold and spoiled, I think they served me the day before food. Cold cold service, what a shame.

Amazing food and great service. It's the second time we've been to Piassa and once again the service was spot on. We got a veggie sharing dish for 3 and an added side of the chickpea dish. The portions were huge and we were offered more of the bread when we ran out. Each of us had 2 beers and the bill came to just £40, great value. Can't wait to go back.

Delicious food, really interesting flavours and great value for money. Our first taste of Ethiopian cusine and we were hugely impressed. We loved the relaxed atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff and clientele. I highly recommend giving this place a try. We were guided in our menu choices and enjoyed many different dishes as well as the coffee at the end of the meal. We had a mix of meat and vegetarian options (gorgeous lentil and veg tasting plate - we had a lamb dish and a spiced chicken dish too) all were bursting with flavour. We will return. Thank you.

Was looking to utilise the eat out to help out scheme and came across this gem. Was completely blown away, absolutely delicious and fantastic service. My first dive into Ethiopian cuisine and I’ll definitely be back soon. Quality.

I don't know where to start. Me and finance went there to eat and when we were about to get in, one of the people there who looks like a regular customer wouldn't want to let us in and said it was closed when we have already booked a table. Not sure why she did that and after we were sat at the table, she was was staring at us non stop. Foodwise, Not the best food. Food is low quality and no taste. The meat aka tubs was so dry and no flavour. The Cabbage was dry and lentils were nothing special. I asked for Ethiopian coffee but the waitress said they have Italian. Very embarrassing to say this as its an Ethiopian place and they should have at least have the option to provide Ethiopian coffee. They won't check if your meal is OK or anything like that, very poor customer service. They brought 'awaze' which doesn't even taste like one. It looks like they mixed chilli powder with lemon. Please don't go to this place and waste your money!!

Excellent choice to eat out. My 1st time eating Ethiopian food, and it was good. Had a big vegan sharing plate, which suited all of us - being vegetarian and vegan. Staff very helpful and friendly, we followed their suggested menu. Coffee is an experience worth going for. The bill was really good value. I'd recommend that you give them a try.

We just had a wonderful dinner at Piassa! I knew from reviews to ask the owner for advice and he set us up with a platter for four including really good dishes and quality cuts of lamb and beef and some vegetarian sides. Some dishes spicier and some milder with great flavor and seasonings. The bread it came with was also homemade and very delicious. Great service and food and a really nice experience!

Been here a couple of times I had amazing, fresh, hot food. The veggie platter fantastic choice for vegetarians and the meat platter has an amazing choice of different Ethiopian dishes so you get a comprehensive try of loads of different thing. Really good if you want to try something a little different- after both my visits Ethiopian cuisine I would now say is in my top 5 favourite cuisines

We came here as a group of 4 on a Sunday night. It has a great atmosphere and the food is incredible. Good prices, plus great vegan options. Easily able to socially distance inside. The host was really friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back again.
