Very warm and welcoming dining room. The gentleman who served us was very nice. The mixed kebab was delicious, as was the rice and salad. Tasty tzatziki. Great place overall.

Lovely experience. Staff were super friendly and great, I have to be honest, the only slight let down was our food did not taste as amazing as all the review put it. I came in with an expectation of re-tasting the tagine from my marrakesh trip, it was lovely but not as flavourful. Would still recommend, but I hope my experience helps you set your expectation so you will enjoy your visit 🙂

What a brilliant experience. Got a warm welcome. Hummus was exceptional. They've lots of good options to choose from including vegetarian options. The taste was very good and authentically Arabian. The decor was lovely. Overall good value for money. Try this place if you're looking for authentic middle eastern/moroccon cuisine.

Came here as a group of four, and ordered a selection of dishes. We had also brought a couple of bottles of wine from the nearby waitrose. Fantastic service, and quickly gave us buckets of ice for the wine. The food came quickly and were very large portions. Great food, and easy to keep on a budget due to the BYOB. Fully recommend.

Beautiful cousin. If you are looking for food made with love, fresh ingredients and great flavors you must try this restaurant. We have had our Christmas lunch here, which was a buffet and it was DELICIOUS. Great choice for vegetarians too. They do not sell alcohol but you can bring your own. We definitely need to go back to try their a la cart menu.

We had a great dinner at this restaurant. I would highly recommend to try. The food was delicious 🤤 beautiful and calm atmosphere. And very friendly customer service. Saalih (owner of the restaurant) was well respected person and tried to provide assistance a lot. Apart from kebabs, i really liked the samosa and felafel.

Great couscous.. I specially recommend the moroccan sausage because it’s just delicious, cooked to perfection and well-seasoned.. The ambience is also lovely..

Had an amazing Moroccan feast here and the food was very tasty. We tasted the majority of the menu and it didn’t disappoint, Fresh and well cooked meat, will visit again for sure.

Great atmosphere in this lovely restaurant - we booked after seeing reviews online and we’re so glad we went. The food tasted so fresh and delicious - we shared falafel for starter, then had a mixed kebab each and shared bread. Everything was great portions and the staff were so friendly! Absolutely fantastic restaurant, great atmosphere and great food! Owners are lovely and really take care of you. Can't wait to go back! The seabass is particularly excellent as is their great tagines! A taste of the Mediterranean! A highlight of Brighton. Not to be missed!

I booked a party of approx. 25 people for a birthday party recently, and we all absolutely loved the experience at Taste of Sahara! Sabri is incredibly helpful and well-organised, he helped me set everything up and reassured me constantly throughout the evening. The food was delicious, served hot and promptly. Everyone brought their own drinks of choice and it was all a very smooth process - thank you Sabri for making the process of organising the birthday party so much less stressful for me. We will be back!

My partner decided to take me here to celebrate my new job. As I am North African, he thought I'd enjoy it. We ordered our food, and then were told we have to pay cash. Had we known this before ordering, I would have told my partner let's go elsewhere. The food arrived. The salad tasted and looked as though it had been made about 5 hours before. The rice and Kofta were bland. My partner had to leave me and go to the ATM to withdraw some cash in order to pay. When the bill arrived, my partner tried to pay and the waiter said we have no change. So my partner had to either go to the shop and get change or give them £16 extra. This is most likely a tax evasion tactic, and a way to get more money out of customers by claiming to have no change. Was very poor service and food. I would not recommend.

We recently had a table for ten to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had a selection of Veggie and meat Arabian Feast platters. The food was delicious and plentiful, to the point where the leftovers were boxed up for us to take. The owner and staff were attentive and warm. The ability to bring our own wine kept the price down. We really enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere.

The food is exceptional! My first visit, it is very tasty and well prepared and you can chose among many menu options. I love the service at the place and the owner Sabri was so friendly and made me immediately want to come again. They take care to offer amazing quality and I highly recommend this as the best restaurant in Brighton!!!

Loved the grilled seabass. Next time I will go straight to main dish to share and order little side dishes . We ended ordering too much with the mezze for 2 and it had the same patatoes as the fish, and a tagine with couscous . We were 3. The mezze is a bit expensive for what it is Perhaps suits a bigger group although is 2 of each. Good atmosphere, music and service.

We had our Christmas group dinner here and was an excellent experience. Sabri is an attentive and friendly host, the food is amazing with great atmosphere. BYOB with no corkage as others have said. Will definitely be back in a smaller (and quieter - sorry Sabri!) group

An unbelievable experience! The waiting staff could not have been more accommodating for us on our pre-Christmas dinner evening meal. There were times where we were overzealous and the waiting staff calmed us down politely. The food was wonderful and there is a reason why we return year on year. Thank you to the floor staff and chefs. We will be back!

We were a fairly large party but the staff didn't let that bother them at all - they were so helpful and friendly with us the whole evening! There was a variety of tasty food available, the portions were huge (which was great in terms of value for money), plus they provided takeaway containers if we couldn't finish. A few members of the party were vegetarians/vegans so they made sure that amongst all the sharing platters there were things we could have which was really appreciated. Will definitely go back, not just for the food but for the atmosphere and people :)
