A stone's throw from the beach, this little french restaurant offers a perfect mix of cocktails, superb food and friendly service. Everything tastes as good as it looks. They do a Sunday roast as well which looked great so will definitely be back try it out!

Spectacular French restaurant in Brighton. Everything was perfect and delicious. So happy I went here and I highly recommend it. If you want truly delicious classic French food in a low key setting with good service. This is the place!!

Lovely restaurant with a cosy ambience. The menu, as expected with a fine dining place, is lean and refined. Good selection of wines and cheeses too. In the attached pic, at the front is my pork chop main course and at the back is my wife's vegetarian courgette tempura main course. Both were excellent. I've tried the beef main course before and that was great too. Wwe will most certainly go back to Petit Pois in the future! NB: restaurant is shut Tuesday and Wednesday, so plan accordingly.

Fantastic food and service in this lovely vibrant French restaurant. Loved the steak, though all the menu options looked lovely. Exquisite creme brulee for pud. If you are in the area it’s a must visit for a great meat and fun selection of wine. All the staff were very attentive and helpful. Reservation recommended as it was busy at evening.

Delicious! A little gem After 5 years, I came back and had the cod fritters as a starter and the pork chop as a main. Both of them were cooked lovely. However l, my partner had the duck breast and thought that it was a bit bland and overcooked. I still think it's a little gem and would come back again. I think on the day that we went they were extremely busy (Saturday afternoon).

Gotha cheese croquettes are so delicious. Pork chop is not bad; its smashed potato is so delicious! I don't recommend Skate Wing. It's pretty tasteless. Service is delayed, and we have to wait too long for food. *Note: It’s the first toilet I’ve visited with free sanitary towels!!!! That is sooooo great!!!! Congrats 👏💜👏

Only a small restaurant, so we've tried before to get lunch there while shopping in the Lanes but it's always been full. This time we were lucky though, and wow wow wow! Fantastic French menu and the friendliest, most welcoming front of house team. The salt cod fritters were the stand-out starter for me, while the cod, scallops, and beef cheeks (3 separate dishes!) were all beautifully cooked and seasoned by the team in the kitchen - it was also lovely to be able to see them at work, too. Outstanding food and a lovely atmosphere... the best lunch I've had in Brighton. I'll definitely be visiting again, and would recommend it to anyone... just remember to make a reservation!

The best Sunday Roast in Brighton is French! We've tried at least 10 spots in town for the Sunday Roast, but none has beaten Petit Pois. Just the right amount of food, top notch quality and a lot of flavours. Their gravy is superb as well! Highly recommended! :)

Friendly staff. The duck was delicious. However, snails were somewhat bitter, with bread not included (snails in a French restaurant with no bread...). A price of "bread basket" (6 pieces of bread and some butter), of 3.5 pounds, which was added because of that, is over the top.

Had the best birthday lunch here. The ‘Prix Fix’ menu is definitely value for money. We also added their specials dish of asparagus and wild garlic pesto. They even provided me with a birthday chocolate and candle. Lovely staff and amazing food!

Loved this restaurant. Staff so pleasant and attentive without being over board. Food was so good, really good and I think the price of the food is very good. We had the snails, the duck and other items including entree, mains, desert and drinks. I would definitely recommend this French restaurant. Photos may not do the food justice.

Excellent little Gem, with authentic French Chefs. Explosion on the pallet, highly recommend the Oyster's followed with Duck. Apologies for no photo of the Trio Creme Brulee, it was gone before I remembered to take a photo, great size for sharing, but I wouldn't be sharing it again, far to good to share. The Portion size of the mains could be a little more, but still great value for ££. The Staff were very attentive, constantly on the look out for when service was needed. They let us stay a little longer to finish our wine whilst they prepared for the evening bookings. This is where we found out it's a family run business which I Love, I personally can't stand a chain Restaurant. This is 100%not a Chain. The atmosphere is relaxed, great for romance or group's, would be great for a little bit of light music in the background. We will definitely be returning to this little Gem. Let them know Brian Recommends.

I was bought a gift voucher for my birthday and had never heard of the restaurant. I thought it was going to be pretentious, fancy food in a posh place!! I was very wrong. The food was really, really good and the portion sizes were great. I would order a side of veg next time though. The staff were excellent and very friendly. The only negative was that the tables are VERY close to each other and it felt a bit claustrophobic in there. You are approx 1-1.5 feet away from the table next to you, just enough space to squeeze between tables to get out. The whole experience was great and the table thing wasn't enough to put us off, but could put others off.

Overall a good restaurant in Brighton however the mains were a wee bit on a smaller side. We had beef tartare, snails, seafood Bouillabaisse and steak, 2 desserts and compliment of the chef (truffle balls) and walked out hungry 😂 The crème brûlée set was my favorite! Steak was a bit chewy, snails missed some flavor. If you are craving French place in Brighton, it’s should be your place however don’t expect French quality.

The staff were very welcoming, from placing our order, our dishes came out relatively fast and the food was amazing. The chefs really know what they're doing at Petit pois. If you want to try a good food restaurant, then give them a try. We will definitely return again in the future

Tasty French cuisine by the beach front in Brighton. Snails tasted just right as a starter, and the duck breast was also full of flavor. They have around 10 tables only, so be sure to book ahead; even for lunch.

Petit Poisbrighton is a French restaurant located in the heart of Brighton on Ship Street. The restaurant has a cosy and intimate atmosphere, with elegant decor and soft lighting. The menu features classic French dishes, such as escargots, coq au vin, and bouillabaisse, and vegetarian and vegan options. The quality of the food, and the ingredients are fresh and cooked to perfection. The beef sirloin and the duck breast were just divine. The portions are also fairly generous. The wine list is also highly fantastic, with a good selection of French wines that complement the food well. The service at Petit Pois is excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who are knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations. Petit Pois would make a wonderful place for a romantic dinner or a special occasion, with its intimate atmosphere. However, the prices at Petit Pois are on the higher side, and it may not be the best option for a casual or budget-friendly meal. Overall, Petit Pois is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates quality French cuisine and a romantic atmosphere. While it may not be the most affordable option, it's an excellent choice for a special occasion or a romantic night out. Venue/ambience 9/10 Food 9.5 Staff 10/10 The only very slight downfalls were the tables were quite close to one another and the bread needed a little refresh in the oven or to be freshly sliced. Just one more thing as a preference. I thought the goats cheese croquettes were some for of dip. Maybe a fig honey or something along those lines Possibly the best meal I’ve had in the UK and would put it in my top 20 restaurants to try around the world!

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch here, with delicious roast crackling on the pork belly that I’m still thinking about a day after! Really friendly service from the crew too. Thank you so much!

It was a wonderful dining experience. We booked our table in advance. We ordered Charcuterie, Bouillabaisse, Chicken Breast, duck Breast, Asparagus pesto and snails. Every dish is delicious and even my 8 year old cleans his plate. I love the Bouillabaisse as the soup is creamy and has a little spicy kick. Our desserts Profiterole Pistachio ice cream and Apple Tarte tatin were amazing. definitely worth the try.

Fantastic place with exquisite food. We both had the duck for main and it was so so good. I had steak tartare for starter and my partner had the cheese selection. We shared the snails. Staff were so lovely to us- a must visit when you go to Brighton.
