Just came here with friends. The restaurant is very nice clean and well looked after. There is a nice choice of food..see included menu images. I had the special lamb shank.. it was fantastic. All the dishes where very good and well presented. The staff where all helpful and friendly. Thanks SoPa for a very nice night out. Well recommend if your looking good Thai food.

Best Thai restaurant that I've been too in Southend, stuff are so friendly, and polite. Coming from Thailand my self, the food taste just like how it was in Thailand. The atmosphere in restaurant is also quite traditional, with the painting on the walls, and the Thai music on in the background. Would definitely recommend going here if you're looking for the Thai experience without being in Thailand.

Quick lunch to try the place. Pleasant service. Good choice of dishes on the menu. The place is also a deli so fresh food all around. Sirloin steak salad was very tasty. Second visit 04/2022 Still impeccable food!

Very clean restaurant and all dishes were well presented. I’m not usually a fan of Thai food but this restaurant is now one of my favourites to visit. The food is phenomenal. Great value for money too!

Great Thai food and the place reminded me of some of the restaurant I visited in Thailand, with its basic functional fixtures and decoration. The food was lovely and authentic with a menus that you should be able to find something that you like, including those who don't want to eat fish or meat. It was busy and the service was a little slow, but the staff were polite and friendly. If you are looking for good Thai food SoPa is worth a visit but I would recommend booking.

Amazing restaurant. Food is something else!! Authentic Thai food. Staff are very welcoming and very attentive. We went in a large group and they caterered for us perfectly. Can't wait to return thanks guys!!

Delectable food and outstanding service. A smallish restaurant that’s simply furnished and down to earth but offers up outstanding taste. I had the lamb, papaya salad, fish cakes and tempura prawns. The fish cakes were just ok but the lamb was frankly amazing. Recommended.

Had an amazing time celebrating my nieces Birthday at this restaurant. Food was delicious, service was brilliant! Will definitely return and fully recommend this beautiful Thai food.

Ordered via their app which was very easy to use and manage to get some discounts using it! Called up to ask some questions and staff were polite and helpful. Made a big order for 8 people and it was ready for collection within 35 minutes which was great and staff were very nice. Food was good quality, some dishes could be spicier but taste was good

Absolutely delicious dinner. I’d had a takeaway from here a couple of times but wanted to try the restaurant. I was not disappointed, the food was incredibly delicious, you can tell a lot of care and love went into it! The service was excellent, I cannot fault anything. Will be back soon!

Lovely thai food!

Unfortunately, this restaurant was closed when we came here today (although it stated that it's open) and there was no information outside if they were closed for the holidays or if the restaurant has been shut down.

Lovely place, great staff and the food was amazing!

Good food and good beer. Starters were delicious I had tempura fried squid with chilli and spring onion, the squid was perfectly cooked. I also had satay chicken skewers which were very tender with that delicious satay sauce. ☆☆☆☆☆ The stir fried chilli Thai basil beef with sticky rice was nice had a good kick but Ive had this dish somewhere else and it was better. So I give this a ☆☆☆☆ Topped off with 2 Singha Thai beers; a perfect pairing 🍻 Also friendly staff which is always a plus 👍

The food was ok but unfortunately we were rushed out. The bill was presented to us the moment the table was cleared. Quite rude tbh. Wont be returning.

My favourite Thai restaurant and probably the best Thai food Iv had outside of Thailand. Really friendly staff and so reasonably priced. We normally get takeaway but have been in for dinner a few times and it’s always a great experience. Highly recommend this place 10/10

Sopa Thai is a great little restaurant. The food is great, the waitresses are friendly, but, and it’s a BIG but, the owner keeps all tips given by customers. Waitresses rely on tips to top up there basic pay and to keep this as well as all her profits from running the business is pure greed.

Had a great meal we had the laughing tiger and it was honestly amazing. We were served by a girl called Kessie who offered incredible service. She is such a credit to you and can't wait to revisit!

What a gem !! We discovered Sopa Thai with friends just last weekend.. loved it so much we went back this evening with family... we're going to taste our way through the whole menu!

Such a great restaurant- food was amazing! Our waitress Kessie was one of the best waitresses me and my partner have been served by. So kind and very polite.

Arrived as a pretty late walk in on a busy Friday night - and the friendly hosts had us seated quickly. Top class service throughout, regularly checked in on for drinks, food arrived quickly (a big order for a party of 3!). Everything was hot, fresh, well presented and tasted amazing. A fantastic menu. This feels like a real hidden gem in westcliff - something you might ordinarily pass by, but you’re in for a treat here.

Really enjoyed this place. Will be back!

Thank you for our wonderful Thai last night! As well as delivering on time the food was delicious It was by far one of the best we have tasted. I loved the massaman curry and pad Thai noodles. Will definately be ordering again soon!

This place could be amazing, the staff are friendly, the food is amazing one of the best Thai food we’ve had. But if you’re out for a nice evening then I wouldn’t recommend, it’s a shop in the day and a restaurant at night. We were sat at the very back of the restaurant, among cardboard boxes, shelves, I had a fax machine to my left and the toilet on the right, at one point we had Just Eat standing over us about 4 of them talking about what was going where, our starters came out at different times and it took ages for the mains to come. My husband and myself just laughed, I booked it and my husband said where have you brought us (in a joking way) we asked to move when a table became available, but it was just a strange experience. Like I said this place could be amazing, but it just doesn’t have the right set up or professionalism to it, it’s old and dated.

Lovely food but service let's it down

Hate to leave this review as i really enjoyed the food the first time we came here but the 2nd time i pre ordered for 8.40 - 8.50. The guy rings me at 7.50 and says the food is ready and i can come and collect it when i want. I explained i requested it for 8.50 its an hour early unsure why they had cooked it, they said they would put it in a hot bag and it would be warm by the time we get it - i said i wanted it cooked fresh for when i requested. The manager/owner said hes not willing to cook it fresh as hes already had to pay someone to do it and i can either have this one or cancel the order. Disgraceful customer service why take orders for certain times if your going to cook it immediately and argue with the customer

Great food and good atmosphere. Really busy Saturday night but still fabulous.

Really slow service even though the restaurant wasn't that busy. Didn't get two of the dishes we ordered. Starters were ok, main dish was actually quite tasteless which is unusual for Thai as usually packs a punch with flavour. Really disappointing as most reviews are positive. Wouldn't recommend.

Just had takeaway and I must say it was absolutely amazing and delicious! The squid were lovely and tender, duck and chicken stir fry full of flavour. We would have it any time! Well done So Pa..compliments to the chef.

During the corona virus crisis, we were provided free food to our hospital staff by Sopa thai throughout the crisis, pretty much every day, to support our staff members and the good work they were doing. The food was authentic and superb!! We are thankful to Sopa thai for recognising and encouraging the hard work put in by our hospital staff.

can't speak more highly of the team at SoPa Thai - have eaten in once, and 3 take aways - every thing spot on. Lovely people who work there, great tasting food, good value. Have recommended to others who have all raved too. On top of this, they have been cooking meals for NHS workers at Southend Hospital - a credit to Southend community - I look forward to visiting the restaurant when things are back to 'normal'.
