Radcliffe camera is the part of Bodelian library. It is a science library and serves as reading room as well. If you wish you to see the insides of the library the only way you can do is by taking the extended guided tour of Bodelian library. We could not go inside as we were not aware of this information that time ! But we did manage look it from outside !! Hope this review helps

I have always admired this building the architecture is so impressive. It was built to house the great collection of books belonging to Sir John Radcliffe. Sadly the library is not open to the public but it is still a must see in Oxford.

This is a little gem set in a beautiful square. It a fascinating academic historical background and good views of it can be found from the spire of St Mary's Church next to it. It is a shame that it isn't open to the public but it's function is educational and not as a tourist attraction. It regularly forms the back drop to scenes in Morse and Lewis on television.

One of the oldest libraries in the world and an iconic photo spot! The library is a working, reading library and entry is restricted but the area is open to visitors.

This library building in Radcliffe Square, Oxford has to be the oldest library in the World and it provides a picturesque scenery of ancient British architecture. It signifies the revolution of British masonry through time. A nice picture to be taken for your travels here in Oxford. If you have the time, do drop by the library as well.

If you can find a place to study it is a great place to do so, unless you dislike areas that have a lot of people. The underground library is also quite nice, has many good reads in history.

Beautiful! Can’t go inside though, you have to be a student (or maybe a guest of a student.) Still worth visiting just to marvel at its beauty.

The Radcliffe Camera is part of the Bodleian Library! It seemed that the architect was playing a joke and decided to deal with all the traditional angles and correct angular measurements. One of the most famous photo spots in Oxford. If you haven't taken a photo here, you haven't been to Oxford!

Beautiful architecture, must visit in Oxford.. I would suggest getting a walking guide if you'd love to hear more about the history. It's walkable from Christ Church.

Lovely and spectacular design 👍🏻 it was gloomy and raining when we went there but I was still in awe. I hope I was able to get inside. Probably next time. Still, worth a visit 🙌🏻

The Radcliffe Camera (colloquially known as the "Rad Cam" or "The Camera"; from Latin camera, meaning 'room') is a building of Oxford University, England, designed by James Gibbs in neo-classical style and built in 1737–49 to house the Radcliffe Science Library. It is sited to the south of the Old Bodleian, north of the Church of St Mary the Virgin, and between Brasenose College to the west and All Souls College to the east. The Radcliffe Camera's circularity, its position in the heart of Oxford, and its separation from other buildings make it the focal point of the University of Oxford, and as such it is almost always included in shorthand visual representations of the university.
