Visited the 'Dippy on Tour' event. Was great to see the dino again - made even better by its spectacular backdrop. The cathedral is amazing, and so beautiful lit up at night. Such a huge space to wander around. All the staff and volunteers were so helpful. Toilets on site were modern and clean.

An amazing place to visit and won't break the bank. The entrance is very welcoming. Very open and modern with lots of information on offer and no extra mandatory charge for it, like some cathedrals. You can wander around freely or go on a tour. I chose to walk freely but would recommend a tour if you would like more info or at least picking up some of their booklets. The buildings themselves and grounds are very well kept and are nice to walk around. I am glad this cathedral is being looked after. The upstairs is accessible with a lift where the cafe/toilets and library are situated. I was lucky enough to visit their library on a day where they were allowing visitors to view their older books. This for me was an incredible experience and I am grateful to have seen the incredible volume of books they care for. I did have to park a little bit away but Norwich does have a good amount of parking about, and its the only thing you would have to pay for in this trip.

A stunning building and welcoming staff who were happy to answer questions and add some personal knowledge and stories too. For the history buffs the cathedral is remarkably intact and still has a huge amount of its wall painting surviving and a good number of remarkably complete tombs well worth a visit if you are in the area. It's also donation encouraged rather than the ever increasing admission rates some cathedrals are charging which is very welcome..though I strongly encourage donating what you can

Stunning predominately Norman style Anglican Cathedral with the second largest cloisters in England, lovely stained glass windows from several period, some original medieval painting still on some of the walls, and an amazing collection of medieval bosses on the groin vaults. Lovely grounds too. Well worth spending an hour of two there.

A nice and quiet place to look around in Norwich. Not a place I would usually visit myself due to my religious differences, but definitely a beautiful place to appreciate the architecture if you're not religiously inclined.

A beautiful cathedral in a beautiful city. Great history. Fantastic art and architecture. Peaceful surroundings to rest and contemplate. Excellent facilities for the disabled visitor. Superb cafe which is accessible and can cater for food allergies/intolerances.

What an amazing place to visit. You pay what you think is appropriate on the door and tours are free. We don't normally follow tours, but on this occasion did and found out so much more about the history behind the cathedral and found it very worthwhile. We also had lunch in their cafe and would definitely recommend their salads - yum! Cathedral was dog friendly, but if eating you have to use outside tables.

I absolutely loved our visit to Norwich Cathedral. They have super helpful volunteers on the door that are extremely nice and make you feel really welcome. We joined a free tour which was superb, it lasted just over an hour and I could have listened to the guide all day. The architecture was simply stunning and the information that the guide conveyed brought the history of the cathedral to life. I loved the carvings of the Green Men dotted all over the place. Entry was free (as it should be for a place of worship) but I was more than happy to make a donation to this wonderful place.

Very impressive cathedral, amazed it was free to visit! I particularly enjoyed the treasury and seeing the painted brickwork up close, many people don't know that these historic buildings were painted when they were first built, that paint has largely faded over the centuries.

A must see on your to do list if visiting Norwich. We visited around 2.30pm on a Sunday in December. We were welcomed by a very friendly, bubbly, informative lady at the entrance. Entrance is free but if you can give a donation it all helps to keep this incredible building in the remarkable condition it is. We listened to the organ playing whilst taking in the breathtaking stained glass windows, incredible architecture (remember to look up) and the history. Pausing to light candles in remembrance of others and for peace. Sitting for a few moments of prayer and contemplation. There is a wonderful cafe attached to the side of the cathedral, scrumptious cakes, scones, rolls, pastries, mince pies; eat in or take out. We sat and had a delicious cup of earl grey and a nibble of naughtiness. Would highly recommend to all.

A must see. Upon entry you are greeted by staff who give you a guide and explain a few things. No entry fee however there is a voluntary donation desk if you wish to donate. Donation is gratefully received and appreciated. Inside the Cathedral there is lots to see with beautiful art work and architecture. Soak in the peaceful atmosphere and view the beautiful glass stained windows. There are guided tours. gift shop, cafe and toilets.

Lived in Norfolk for over 20 years now and never visited Norwich Cathedral, Did not have much time, but decided to have a quick look and wow it's very impressive. plenty of Romanesque/Norman and some lovely carving/sculpture in wood and stone. with more time there is plenty to see and photograph if you have a steady hand or a high ISO.....

Really lovely cathedral right in the middle of Norwich, in walking distance of the train station. I only popped in for a quick visit so really didn't get the full experience. I'd love to come back and invest a bit more time as there's so much to look at and so much history to learn about. I recommend giving yourself a couple of hours if you really want to explore everything, however it's still worth going in if you only have a little bit of time.

This is an amazing and beautiful place to visit. My favourite area is the cloisters with it's history and lovely views of the cathedral through the arches. My recent visit was to see Dippy the dinosaur and it was amazing, with Dippy standing majestically inside and the volunteers were helpful and enthusiastic.

Fantastic Anglican Norman cathedral - one of the highlights of Norwich. Nestled in lovely grounds which also lead down to the Riverside walk. Fantastic architecture and some amazing stain glass windows inside. Includes a shop and decent cafe onsite too. Normally have different events running throughout the year as well. My go to place for a lunchtime stroll around the grounds or a quiet place to sit in the cloisters.

The Cathedral of Norwich made me remember, how much I love Architecture, Art and all the History connections with that place. The attraction for discovery was impulsive and raw and I couldn't hide my emotions. Believe me it was dark and I was ready to get home after work but I guess the Gothic influence in that project from the past of our ancestors made me look like a child staring at the mesmerising palace!! Really special. Live life 😳😜

It was such an amazing place to visit! It's quite an old catedral but preserved very well. The architecture is beautiful, and the grounds are so peaceful to walk around. The entrance is free as most catedrals, there are toilets, shop and a cafe. There is no parking but you can park at some of the many parkings nearby. Even if you're not religious, you must visit this magnificent building!

It is a fantastic building worth exploring if you are in Norwich. Some lovely stained glass windows are framed by the architecture, and the craftsmanship is incredible. Free to explore and see what the building has to offer. There is a cafe, toilets and a gift shop and a labyrinth in the cloister. I visited late in the day so the cafe and shop were closed along with the exhibition but reason to visit again one day

Beautiful Cathedral. Free entry there are many donation points around. We did a free tour which lasted around an hour and was full of information.

The cathedral is nice. The staff very welcoming and friendly. Lovely place to relax if you need to quiet your mind. What's really lovely though is the surrounding area. The most beutiful chocolate box houses you've ever seen

Stunning architectural building made many of our group feel so emotional. To think it took 50 years to construct is truly amazing especially considering it dates back to 1096. Our son took part in being a chorister for a day last Saturday. It was so special and something we will always remember. The staff were so committed and passionate. It was a real privilege. Definitely recommend the shop, too. Lots of lovely bits and pieces to buy for presents or keep sakes to remember the day, reasonably priced and good quality. We give 5*

An amazing building, stunning architecture, beautiful fan vaulted ceiling and huge cloisters. The cafe is superb too! They also allow you to take photographs and use a tripod.

An amazing building. With fabulous cloisters, Edith Cavells grave, tiny chapels and lovely tearoom. All made better by being welcomed, and with lots of information provided. No admission charge, which was refreshing, of course donations were welcome, but we're very much opposed to people being charged to enter a cathedral/church. Would highly recommend.

One of the oldest church in the town. It is famous for Romanesque architecture as well as its fascinating history. At the entrance you will get a guide who tell you about the church free. There is also a cafe upstairs with a great atmosphere and service. U can park your car within walking distance as they dont have its own public car parking..

Stunning. Definitely would go again but on a weekday. Such a different without place being overcrowded. Beautiful architecture inside. Free to visit. Toilets at the premises too.

Phenomenal is the only word for it. It is free to visit and Dogs are allowed, which is rare. The building is HUGE, with so many Chapels within it. The whole building is beautiful and so well maintained. Allow two hours to see it properly. There is a Cafe on the upper level too.

Just not enough time to explore this amazing building, it's actually really big and the courtyard reminds me of something from Harry Potter or X Men. You have to come here with 2-3 hours to appreciate. Also wrap up as it's cold in here too!

Amazing Cathedral to visit. Free to enter but donations recommended. Plenty to see and take in the atmosphere as there are services going on daily. Worth talking to the volunteers and guides as they give more perspective and history of the cathedral.

Such a beautiful building and grounds. The message at the Sunday service was insightful - asking if we are listening to our prophets. They are always speaking. The choir sang beautifully. A wonderful place to worship.

Staff were really friendly & helpful. Good guide leaflet. Could spend weeks here as so much to see. Wonderful blend of ancient, old and modern stained glass. Flowers in all the chapels. Beautiful!

Greeted by a lovely lady who shared the map and some useful information. Entry is free but you can leave a donation. We were lucky that they had a rehearsal so we got to listen to some beautiful singing while exploring the inside. It’s a beautiful place with lots of interesting things to admire, and as a non religious person I particularly enjoyed the stained glass windows, so much intricacy and beautifully crafted scenes. There’s an exhibition area up some windy steps which I did not visit but it looked like it had a lot of ornaments and history as you view it from downstairs. If you’re in Norwich it’s an absolute highlight (and make sure you approach it via Elm Hill).

I enjoy visiting churches and cathedrals for the architecture rather than for any religious reasons, and in Norwich we are lucky to have 2 cathedrals and they are well worth a visit. I took photos of 3 modern stained glass windows. Really interesting to see them

Enjoyed our trip to the Cathedral. The free one-hour tour was well worth it. Informative guides.

Extremely happy to have finally seen Norwich Cathedral. Sunday service we on so had limited access. Still incredible. The two falcons on the spire topped it off.
