100% recommend this place, and as we did, recommend booking as busy (even on Sunday night) which already shows one how good a restaurant is! The food was awesome French cuisine, and we all had 3 courses and a bottle of Merlot to go with it, and as with most mainland European restaurants, you get complimentary bread and butter while waiting for your food. The Waiter and Waitress on shift were very friendly to, making sure everything was fine and our wines was topped up, and before leaving having a nice chat about life, it was 11pm by this point because we had to book late due to how busy it was, no rush to get you out the door which some establishments in Britain would try doing at this time on a Sunday particularly, so all nice and relaxing as it should be. Again a must book and eat here without hesitation! 😁👍

Very delicious food and wine! Definitely a nice date night, or special occasion spot. Ambience is very romantic. The waiter, Julian, was amazing. Not only is he a very lovely individual, but every recommendation he gave was perfect. I'm certain I'll be back!

I would absolutely recommend Chez Dominique to anybody. There was an amazing choice on the menu, probably one of the best menus I have chosen from. The food was really fantastic with an excellent balance of flavour, seasoning and presentation. Another establishment that serves artistry on a plate. It's a shame to eat it. The waiting staff were professional, attentive and friendly. The restaurant has a relaxed feel to it and, with the quality of an establishment like this, it's no wonder you have to book in advance. This was a Tuesday evening and people were being turned away. You have been warned. I can't wait to go again.

Absolutely loved this restaurant. Took my husband for his 40th birthday. Food was incredible. The 3 course menu was incredible value. The tastes and flavours were out of this world. The service was wonderful. They are clearly passionate about the business and the customers. Just such a fantastic place and will definitely return.

Met friends for lunch here. A couple of them has eaten at Chez Dominique before. The food was lovely, well presented & tasty. Good value for money too. The staff were friendly, efficient & approachable. The restaurant was inviting & the atmosphere relaxing. Will definitely return & hoping to visit with friends soon. Highly recommend.

Full-heartedly made food - just extraordinary. The scallops was so soft that they tasted like butter - we were properly impressed. The rich flavors and textures of the lamb, fish, and dessert made me feel the commitment of the chef. I could really taste the difference compared to ordinary restaurants! Service was outstanding, too. I booked a table to celebrate my birthday, and was welcomed with a free glass of champagne.

Ok, this place is TO DIE FOR!!! The food is incredible. I had such an amazing 3 course lunch here. You will not regret your decision what so ever if you choose to eat at Chez Dominique!

The lunch menu is valuable. Overall is fine. The main dish, onglet steak is overcooked and a bit tough but the chips are crispy and delicious. And Staffs are friendly.

Romantic atmosphere and beautiful food! Very recommended for a date. Espresso dessert with ginger was fantastic. My bf absolutely loved steak!

A great experience. Helpful and friendly service. Good food at a good price. I had the rillete to start. They were a bit disappointing, being served too chilled and having too much herbiness. Pure pork would have been better. Margaret had a mulled pear with roquefort that she enjoyed. I had and excellent onglet and frites. Enough said. Margaret had chicken with saffron risotto which she enjoyed. Margaret had a lemon posset for dessert which was good. I had brie de meaux, bleu d'auvergne and morbier which were all very tasty and, hallelujah, served at a decent temperature. Nice bottle of Cote du Rhone. £95 and we added £20 for service. All in all good food, well cooked and reasonably priced. A lot of more expensive restaurants could learn from them.

Couldn't resist some alfresco dining at this adorable french restaurant. Waiter was both professional and friendly, and he served a mean aperol spritz. Food was tasty, fresh and light, just what we needed at the time. Quality didn't knock the socks off but for the very affordable price point, our expectations were appropriately set. Would recommend.

Amazing time at Chez Dominique. The best steak I have had all year, perfect flavours and a fantastic texture. Must order the onglet steak if you're here. Plus it was inexpensive at only a fraction of the price of some expensive steak houses. The tagliatelle was also out of this world and filled with gorgeous flavours. Highly recommend this Parisian resturant for any occasion (10/10).

Been here many times over the years and it is still one of the best independent French style restaurants in Bath. Unfourtunately, it seems that here also some cut backs have been made with prices increased but also portion sizes reduced which left me still hungry after 2 courses with sides having dinner here. Starters: -chicken liver was very good but tough toast underneath -melone feta salad was ok -sea bass and trout were very good -Onglet steak very tasty but tiny (less than 4oz pre-cooked?)

Our first night in Bath and we ended up in Chez Dominique for dinner. We are so glad we did as everything was so good it gave us a great start to our 5 day break. Food was brilliant, staff amazing and atmosphere very friendly, thanks.

The location (30 yards from Pulteney Bridge), staff service and atmosphere are all reasons to visit whilst in Bath. The food was of a good standard: garlic olives as an appetiser, starters of sauteed scallops with chorizo and chickpea stew and a smoked mackerel pate; main courses consisting of steamed trout with crispy noodles, and roasted chicken with chorizo alongside an additional extra of green beans cooked with almonds. Our bill came to a little over £107 which included one small beer, a 250ml glass of red wine plus a table water. A 12.5% discretionary service charge is included within the bill. The staff are attentive without being intrusive, and the food was served quickly although it was not piping hot when reaching the table. I thought the bill was a little on the high side, but it was certainly a pleasurable enough dining experience.

Excellent waiting service throughout. I had the calves kidneys, just 3 halves. Personally couldn't taste the anchovies in this dish but appreciate different palettes.

Steak was amazing with aromatic sauce. Portion is definitely too small considering the price. The service was fine. They showed good etiquette, they were paying attention to customers and were always helpful. However their banter between each other seemed distracting a lot. Definitely will come back for the steak
