I
drive
past
the
Belwade
Farm
entrance
every
day
but
have
never
visited.
Yesterday
I
put
this
right.
The
first
thing
to
note
is
that
from
the
main
road
it
is
about
a
mile
or
so
up
a
farm
track
which
is
only
wide
enough
for
one
vehicle
and
there
aren't
that
many
passing
places.
The
surface
is
poor
so
be
careful
what
sort
of
vehicle
you
use.
Definitely
not
for
a
sports
car.
I
am
writing
this
not
to
be
critical,
it
is
a
farm
track
after
all,
but
just
to
warn
people
to
take
care
with
the
type
of
vehicle
you
use
if
you're
planning
a
visit.
When
you
eventually
arrive
at
the
end
of
the
track
the
car
park
is
good.
Quite
large
a
good
tarmac
surface
and
plenty
of
parking
spaces.
A
pleasant
surprise
after
using
a
bumpy
track.
First
impressions
when
you
enter
the
restaurant
are
that
it
is
light
and
airy,
tables
well
spaced
out
so
that
you
are
not
banging
elbows
with
the
next
table.
Quite
good
really.
One
wall
has
a
viewing
window
overlooking
an
area
where
horses
are
exercised
and
another
wall
is
all
glass
overlooking
a
really
nice
view.
Two
ladies
serving
the
customers
were
really
friendly
and
very
helpful.
Coffee
was
served
punctually
whilst
my
wife
and
I
looked
at
the
menu.
We
ordered
two
meals
and
this
is
where
is
all
went
wrong.
My
wife
and
I
were
the
only
customers
at
the
time
but
the
food
took
an
absolute
age
to
be
served.
God
only
knows
how
long
you
would
have
to
wait
if
the
restaurant
was
busy
so
be
prepared
for
a
wait.
My
wife
had
Scampi,
Chips
and
Mushy
Peas.
The
Scampi
and
Chips
were
fine
but
the
mushy
peas
were
a
weird
texture
and
not
what
we
know
as
mushy
peas.
A
minor
moan
I
suppose
and
they
just
got
left.
I
had
a
Brunch.
A
Sausage,
Rasher
of
Bacon,
Tattie
Scone
Scrambled
Eggs,
Fried
Bread,
Black
Pudding
and
half
a
tomato.
The
Sausage,
Bacon
and
Tattie
Scone
were
rock
hard
and
the
knife
wouldn't
cut
them.
Luckily
I
don't
mind
using
fingers..!!
The
Fried
Bread
was
soggy
and
everything
was
tepid,
barely
warm,
apart
from
the
half
tomato
which
was
actually
quite
pleasant.
A
shame
really.
I
don't
like
giving
a
bad
review
but
Mr
Google
knew
where
I
had
been
and
requested
a
review.
When
we
paid
for
the
meal
the
very
nice
lady
asked
if
all
was
OK
and
we
said
it
was.
We
don't
like
to
complain
to
the
staff
and
they
were
really
quite
nice
so
we
didn't
want
to
upset
anyone.
I
have
given
three
stars,
one
for
each
of
the
two
very
nice
ladies
serving
the
customers
and
the
other
for
a
pleasant
environment
in
the
restaurant.
But
I'm
afraid
that
for
the
kitchen
it
was,
as
our
Eurovision
song
contest
cousins
say,
Nil
Pois,
Zero
Points
sadly.
Belwade
do
some
fantastic
work
so
It
wasn't
easy
writing
a
less
than
glowing
review.
