My husband (Sam) and I purchased an Olympus E-PL8 through their Ebay page. It arrived quickly and was in perfect condition. Joe was easily one of the best customer service assistants we've come across. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Rather than point us to items that we couldn't afford, he gave us various options and explained the pros and cons. It was exactly what we needed. As complete newbies to photography it was brilliant to have somebody explain things to us in a simple yet non-patrionising way. We will definitely shop with you guys again!

If more camera shops were like this, there would be more camera shops. Simple. Absolutely FANTASTIC service from Tyler. ‘I’ve been looking at this camera’ - great, here it is and here’s some alternatives ‘Can I take a look’ - yes, let’s unbox one for you to actually try ‘Thanks, I’ll have a think and come back’ - no worries (no hard sell!) 20 minutes later… ‘I’m back, can I buy it!’ The guys in the shop totally understood my budget, interests, buying style. Interested to talk to me, no hard sell, simple and fair transaction. THIS is customer service at its best.

Called in today to see if a repair and a service could be carried out on my Olympus Tough TG 835 underwater camera. A button was stuck, you could see some gunge around it, and one of the access door locking tabs was very stiff, it would move with a lot of force. The assistant looked at it as I explained the problems I had with it. After several minuets of pushing the button and other buttons he said that it was working properly. One of the problems was that, intermittently, it would not recognise the SD card. He placed a SD card in and pressed away. It did find the card. Another problem was in the Menu it would not choose the selected choice. He was unable to move the locking tab so I asked if they could service it and maybe get it working. He said they didn't service digital cameras any more, if the part wasn't working then a new camera is needed. As my camera is several years old and out of warranty that was his answer. I returned home a bit disillusioned, the camera worked and all it needed was a clean. So with a tooth pick, a drop of WD40, a drop of veg oil and 20 mins of my time I cleaned out the gunk and got the selector button working and then freed up the locking tab. Working as new now.

I was selling some lenses and they were so honest and helpful, I couldn't have been more impressed. The guy spent a lot of time checking what they could offer, was open about how they price and gave me some good advice about what I would be better off selling privately. Couldnt recommend more and they will definitely be where I go for any future camera gear

Mason & the guys were very informative, patient with my many, many questions & said to return to the store, or phone in for any aftercare help. They put my novice mind at ease, knowing they were not just after a quick sale, but wanted to help me; days, weeks, even months after the purchase of my product. Sony A6400. Recent visit for a new body and lens (a birthday present from me to me). The staff were excellent, making solid recommendations to a beginner looking to get into wildlife photography. All in all they really know their stuff!

Helpful staff they're good lads and they know their stuff. Fast service for a busy little shop too! Competitive prices on stacks of new and 2nd hand gear, well worth a look. Recommended wether your buying, browsing, need repairs, service or even just trouble shooting. Friendly staff have time for you!

I purchased a drone camera from camera centre UK that did not operate correctly. I therefore returned it. I paid £309, but was only refunded £247. I contacted Camera Centre UK, who sent me a reply message stating the item was scratched. I absolutely refute this, I took great care to return it in exactly the same condition as I received it and packaged very thoroughly. It seems to me a very easy way to make money by falsely claiming damaged on returned items? I would not trust or use this company again.

We cannot recommend this company enough. Even though we had a problem with an item (not their fault) which had to be returned, the customer service was brilliant. Emails were replied to extremely quickly and they kept us up to date all through the process, which was sorted quickly and efficiently with a good outcome. Special thanks to Tyler George who was our contact throughout this process. We would not hesitate to use this company again.

Brilliant service from Llyr at the camera centre. Repaired my Sony camera which was out of warranty free of charge. Friendly, helpful and professional, I would highly recommend their services.

My Star Tracker went faulty within 4hrs. I sent an email on a Saturday when Wales were playing Scotland in the Six Nations that day and got an immediate response. Tracker was collected on the Tuesday and a replacement arrived by Friday. I cannot praise Joe enough. Great service and great comms. The whole process was seamless apart from the result of the rugby.

We stopped by at the Cardiff store to get our first ever camera and I couldn't be more pleased with the service we received. Ieuan attended to us and he was absolutely amazing, had a very good knowledge of cameras and helped us choose one within our budget. And even graciously compared it with another camera we had seen previously. And what's more they gave us a free wrist strap and a free bag. Service was excellent, and I am so far pleased with the product we got. Will 100% recommend. Wonderful staff especially Ieuan who attended to us.

Best camera shop I’ve ever been in, and I’m from London we have loads. Never seen a camera shop with so many variety of camera from film to digital, and clearly shows a lot of passion and hard work has gone into having this kind of ‘proper’ camera shop.

I wanted to have a look and chat as I want to get into Photography, the guy there was extremely helpful with the camera information, lens, bags etc. Went second hand, very reasonable price. Will definitely be back in thr future!

I came into the shop with my boyfriend Today for some camera cleaning service along with some lenses. The gentleman who dealt with us by the name of Raph was absolutely amazing. Honestly the best customer service I have ever experienced! Whilst he cleaned my partners camera equipment we had a brilliant conversation and also pointed us in the right direction for our queries. We also needed to replace some lens covers which Raph hunted around the store and found some pre-owned ones for us. We were also in the market for a camera backpack on a budget and he found one out the back of the store which was perfect and it only cost £20! The total price for the cleaning of the camera and 3 lenses, 3 lens covers and the backpack came up to £23! We were so thankful for the outstanding experience provided by raph and his knowledge was very helpful. We will definitely be visiting again!

After having a stressful morning trying to sort through camera equipment to trade, being greeted by Tyler with his Nikon t-shirt was a relief. He knew exactly what I needed and helped me destress straight away. He found me the best deal for all of my equipment and presented me with exactly the camera I needed. Came here from London because of reviews. They offered plenty of ideas and made everything straightforward. I had some bits to trade in. A couple of out of stock items needed to be delivered by courier. It all just happened. Pricing is competitive, service is friendly, and the knowledge runs deep. What's not to like?

Fantastic range of used cameras, lenses , cases etc. Not all clearly labelled & found similar lenses in different glass cases. Helpful staff, manager happy to give 10% discount on a rather obscure item at the back of a glass case.

Absolutely outstanding service today. I went in for a repair, not knowing what was wrong with my camera, and they not only fixed it and cleaned it but they only charged me for the battery change. You don't find customer service like this these days, I really thought that camera would have to be sent off but the chap had the skills to do it in front of me. I've already told god knows how many people about the help I received, I was genuinely blown away.

Visited the guys at the camera centre UK in Cardiff and took my broken camera - (which I did not buy from there) - I fully expected them to tell me the camera was beyond repair and I would need to buy another. However, The guys (Harry and another which I didn't get the name of) spent a good 40 minutes trying to fix the flash on my camera.....which wasn't easy! Best service! fully recommend and I know I will be back to buy some gadgets for the camera soon!

Very disappointed. After spending nearly £6000 on a sony A1 body, which I'm told is like new and they got it from someone who "won it as an unwanted prize", I received the camera with 3 1mm circular marks on the sensor. I tried the blower, that does not work. I had to purchase a pack of professional sensor cleaning kit which costs me £50, on top of all the frustration. The marks are like dried up droplets or stains. The sensor is still not pristine even after the clean, a thin layer of grease like substance can be seen on the sensor. Also there's a tear on the box. I would have thought what appears to be a reputable family business like theirs would check a high value item - meant for professional use - before sending it out.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I went in to purchase some Portra 400 film, and the gentleman who served me looked at my old film camera in great detail to inspect it and ensure it was working. Sadly, I dropped my camera on the floor when I was in the shop and the staff were very kind to check it over again to see whether it was damaged. Unfortunately I had broken my camera, so I did not purchase any film, but I wanted to thank the staff for their kindness. The staff are clearly very knowledgable and helpful. When/if I get a new camera, I will make sure to come back and purchase some film.

Bought a canon camera from Llyr the sale process was easy and the salesman had plenty of patience and understanding for me and even through in a free SD Card which was more than appreciated also a big shout out to Raf who has also been a pleasure to deal with will definitely recommend to friends

I made a purchase from the online store on a bank holiday weekend. I placed my order on a Sunday afternoon, it was packaged on the bank holiday Monday and delivered to me on the Tuesday via DPD. That's an outstandingly fast service and I didn't expect any company to dispatch something as quickly as that. Wow. Items received packaged well, a little extra bubble wrap might have been nice, but that's just being really picky now. Items were brand new, original sealed boxes as expected and no problems whatsoever. I'd absolutely recommend Camera Centre UK to my family and friends.

I recently damaged my sigma lens, so I visited the camera centre in Cardiff. The staff were extremely helpful and polite and arranged for the repair to the lens. The whole process was handled extremely professionally and efficiently. Very pleased Well definitely be using them again

I had an issue with my camera and thought the whole thing was broken! The really kind staff took my camera and had fixed the issue within 5 minuets for free!!! They were all so lovely and had an amazing selection of camera equipment and gear. Including second hand equipment. These guys were great and if you ever needed any help or questions, this would defiantly be the place to go.

Having recently been gifted three film cameras I am having to start from the start and learn all over again. This was my first time as a customer here and I am delighted with the service that I received. In particular I want to draw attention to Luke who is polite, professional and extremely helpful. Amazing service! I originally phoned up to purchase a particular audio kit but unfortunately they sold out and I needed the audio kit within 3 days. Luckily the Camera Centre Uk staff was very knowledgeable and helpful about the situation as they went through other products that would just be as good and made reassurance that it will be delivered within two days. My camera’s battery wasn’t coming out of the camera body. The staff at Camera Centre were fantastic; knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They explained what had happened (it had swollen), and persevered when the battery proved difficult to move. They got the battery out and supplied a replacement. I’ve used the Camera Centre Uk several times and they’ve always given great service. Today was no exception. Thank you.

These guys are really helpful. I took in two compact cameras to see if I could get them going again. Both looked at and efforts made. One declared beyond economic repair; clear advice how to get something out of the other. All for no charge. Nice with it. Recommended.

Some of the worst delivery experience as DPD lost my order so i had to ask for a replacement, it came 1 week later than it should, when it was delivered there were missing items so i had to make time to call them and solve it. However I would buy again with them as the Customer service experience was REALLY GOOD. The were nice and polite and helped me to solve all the issues that i had as soon as possible. Despite the bad experience with the delivery I recommend this Store as the Items were carefully packed and the quality is really good.

I find this shop greatly helps my photography hobby. It has helpful and knowledgeable staff and I'm able to sell the lenses I no longer use. Suitable for any level of Photography.

I purchased a Sony A7III from these guys on Monday, i even traded in my older Canon 760. came in a couple of days prior (new years eve) just as they were closing but the sales guys that i spoke to were more than happy to help. I recently visited Camera Centre Cardiff shop and can honestly say that the people who work there are so incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. I had a lot of questions and things I needed help with and they sorted each query out for me and made sure it was the best solution. The worker who helped me a great deal was Raph and he answered all my questions and not once did I feel rushed to make any decision, even when it was time to close the shop for the evening!
