Off Beat Bikes did a great job getting me back up and running when I had brake issues from riding at the Nevis Range. At short notice they fixed and re-bled my Hope brakes for the next day, and came up with a few recommendations which I took them up on. They checked my bike over for me and even gave it a wash! Nice conversation and advice from them, and holiday saved. Highly recommend them

Really solid mountain bike for rental. Including a tube, tire and pump - exceptional. They gave me great advice what turned out to be a fantastic day peddling up Glen Nevis to both of the falls. Thanks!

Hired an e-bike and panniers for two weeks. I could make a rond trip for 650 kilometer, FW to Oban, Mull, Tobermory, Kilchoan, Mallaig, Longboisdale, Lochmaddy, then off to Skye, Uig, Portree, Dunvegan, Broadford, Armandale Mallaig, Glenfinnan en back to FW. Had no issues whatsoever with the bike. Added a little bit of air in the tires on South Uist. Had the greatest time ever and best holiday in years!!!!

Hired an e mountain bike to keep up with my more experienced family. The process of booking, information, trail guides and collection of bike was first class. I was able to enjoy a few days out and cover more miles than I expected... found the staff really helpful and friendly. Really good shop to stock up on essential bike bits.

Turned up end of day on Saturday needing repairs on my recent Lands End - John O'Groats trip and got great service - bike came out fixed with lots of great feedback about the bike from the workshop; everyone really friendly, focused and professional!

We rented two bicycles, one regular MTB, one e-MTB, for about a week. We organized everything in advance from abroad, which worked out just perfectly, picking up the bikes from the shop and returning them on the last day took us just a couple of minutes. Both bicycles we got were very well serviced and well-suited to explore the area. Thanks to the Off Beat Bikes team, you added your share to a great time in and around Fort William!

While searching for a cargo e-bike, Off Beat Bikes came up as a distributor for a brand (Larry vs Harry) that I was interested in. Their shop is a few hours away from me, but they were the most nearby distributor. I reached out to them by email, and am very glad I did: they were extremely responsive, knowledgable, helpful, and patient while guiding me through picking the right options for my new bike. I ended up purchasing the bike through them without ever visiting the shop; they handled everything from assembly to delivery, and it went extremely smoothly. I'm very appreciative, and would look to them again for any future purchases.

Took a wonder in here to hire a ebike for the next day so I could explore the Nevis range trails and they’re not only great on price but it was seamless. Really friendly and helpful staff. When I came to return the bike one of the guys recommended I do the cow hill circuit given I had some more time to kill with the bike. He even offered to swap out the battery. I took his advice and I’m so glad I did! A very enjoyable trail that’ll only take about an hour and gives you great views of Ben Nevis! Highly recommend both the trail and the shop.

Happy staff, great to work with. Plenty of guidance with where to go on each trail. A friend and I used two e mountain bikes which were great fun. Could be five stars if ebikes were better maintained (chainset and fork).

Was in a bit of a bind on Easter Saturday which required my cassette to be swapped, I phoned Off Beat Bikes if they could do it, and was told that yes they could do it, I turned up 5 mins later and Sam (mechanic) had it swapped over on my bike and I was on my way in 5 minutes. What great service on the Easter holiday weekend. Sam was a star. I paid the swap fee and left them a tip. All their staff are very helpful.

Myself and partner dropped in to Offbeat’s (06/04/2023) on a spur of the moment idea to hire bikes for an afternoon. Excellent experience. From Nicky and her companion in the shop and the guys in the bike store / workshop to finally young Archie handing the bikes over to us - a great experience. So very friendly and obviously professional in all things bike. Very much a part of a happy afternoon for us and so, thank you to everyone in Offbeat. The Glen was OK too. 😁🚴‍♂️⭐️

My friend and have already rode from near Edinburgh to Glen Nevis campsite mainly off road using the Highland Way and are continuing along the Highland Trail 550 for some weeks so some tough terrain whilst bikepacking with considerable weight. I replaced a spoke myself but both my wheels needed truing, as did my friend's rear wheel. His bottom bracket was playing up too. We rode both bikes to Off Beat Bikes. All the staff were friendly, extremely helpful, amazingly accommodating at such short notice, fixed everything and tightened my headset which I didn't notice was loose! The price was very good and we could go on our way with peace of mind as there's not many bike shops, if any, of this standard further north. A BIG THANK YOU 🚴🚴🚴👍🙏

Three age 70ish couples from the USA rented e bikes from Off Beat for a 10 day tour through the Isle of Mull and the Ardnamurchan peninsula. The upfront email consultation with Nix was timely and helpful. The staff fitted our bikes well and thoroughly explained the battery system to e novices. The bikes performed flawlessly, and happily carried us to the end of a day with 4000 ft of elevation climb. Cheers from a delighted group.

Walked in with no appointment/plan, turned around in 5 minutes with a bike, map and routes. Very professional and courteous service, from the friendly receptionist to the knowledgable gents in the workshop who give great advice on both places to go and bike etiquette. Recommend to anyone looking for a stress-free bike hire experience!

Came here with a broken spoke they hadn’t got in stock. They contacted Nevis Bikes who had the right size, sent me to them to buy the spoke there and told me to come back with it: They fixed it within an hour. That was a really good service for someone who is touring Scotland by bike. I’d recommend that shop/bike mechanic to anybody: helpful and professional, friendly.

Got a series of broken spokes on our long distance cycling trip through Scotland. In the end I went to Off Beat Bikes where they retensioned the entire wheel on the spot. Great and quick service, great expertise! Never had any problems with the wheel again

After a slight mishap on the way to Fort William today I managed to completely buckle my rear wheel. Luckily we were advised Offbeat Cycle shop would sort us out. Met Finley and he had us sorted in less than an hour even managed to sort my gearing out to and tighten a few loose screws😊 Now looking good as new ! Thanks Finley great service with a smile

We had a great experience at Off Beat Bikes today. Arrived late at Fort William with a worn out cassette, and we were glad to find the store as they exchanged the cassette fast and reliable for a new one, even shortly before their closing time (Thanks again, Sam!). The bicycle shop looked also nice, and the women in the shop were very friendly, too! All in all, I recommend the store to everyone in or around Fort William. If I am ever back in the region, I will definitely come back!

Rented a tandum bike. Great service and friendly staff- we got to rent same day and able to just rent for the afternoon rather than the whole day which suited as it was cold enough just for the afternoon. Enjoyed trying it and would recommend it eventhough it's tricky at first ☺️
